Chapter 726 Nonsense
Chapter 726 Nonsense (Second Update)
"That woman deserves to die!" Dina jumped up on the spot, her short white hair disheveled, and her eye patch could not hide her vicious gaze.
Her eyes were fixed on Salomon's wounds, and even Guard Zero, standing beside the sofa, could feel the intense heat emanating from her overloaded alchemical engine. In the simple, unassuming worldview of the homunculus, anyone who harmed Salomon was a bad person. Those who committed such a crime would be shredded into pieces by chainsaws, shot by ten thousand bomb guns for twenty-four hours, impaled on steel thorns and then bombarded by two thousand macro cannons in the warehouse, burned to ashes by flamethrowers, and finally hanged. Dina hadn't considered that most people would have died during the first punishment. Reality couldn't stop her from fantasizing about various punishments for the monarch's enemies and putting them into practice.
She swore a blood oath, caring nothing for Hela's identity or her role in Salomon's plans; anyone who made her beloved master bleed must be punished. An uncontrollable rage surged through the ocean of her mind, like a shadow churning in a cold abyss, shattering the once tranquil song of the soul. Like a slashing note, like a heavy hammer striking the web of the mind, the homunculus, both within the manor and far away in the Immortal City, felt the fury emanating from the void. They didn't know the source of this rage; the malevolent thoughts churning in the sea of their souls continued to draw closer to their spirits.
Until the sorcerer gently stroked her cheek with his hands stained with dried blood.
"Calm down," he said.
The anger subsided, and the blinding light emanating from the depths of the sea of souls terrified those formless malices.
In the real world, the adorable android maid muttered indignant words as she hurriedly ran through the manor hall carrying a medical kit. She was so fast that the heels of her high-heeled boots almost crushed the marble floor; she was so anxious that Salomon seemed to be a pale, bleeding body lying in bed, on the verge of taking his last breath.
Guard Zero initially tried to stop her from wrapping more bandages around her wounds, but seeing his lord's helpless expression without objection, and considering that Diana was carrying the oversized Hellfire Chainsaw Sword given to him by the witch, Guard Zero decided not to say anything more. However, Guard Zero still stopped Diana from gathering the Sisterhood's combat personnel; such blind retaliation without even properly investigating the enemy's abilities was simply too foolish.
"We will take our revenge! No matter where the enemy is, no matter who the enemy is, they must pay the price for this evil!" The homunculus lowered his voice. "On the contrary, I don't understand how you can be worthy of being the monarch's royal guard. When the monarch is wounded, what you think of is not revenge!"
"I am the monarch's tool, not a weapon," Zero said sincerely. "War is only a small part of the monarch's plan, and violence is merely my most basic function."
Diana glared at him angrily, then turned and left the bedroom, seemingly to fetch more things she thought Salomon might need. She had already brought in a case of cola, several bags of snacks, a blanket, and a plethora of medical equipment; it seemed she didn't want Salomon to get up until he recovered. However, she wasn't working in vain. She not only cleaned Salomon's stubborn, dried bloodstains but also meticulously eliminated any channels that could potentially leak the monarch's genetic information. Every towel used, every cotton swab used, and even every piece of gauze removed was burned to ashes under the android's watchful eye.
"I had no idea you could be so sharp-tongued," Salomon said. "You're implying that Diana doesn't use her brain."
"I was merely stating the facts. My lord, do you have any further orders?"
"That's all. Just do as I said before. If you can, open another bag of chips for me. My only concern right now is whether or not to get Stephanie to buy Lay's chips. There's more air in the bag than chips, it's infuriating." Salomon said, sounding perfectly normal and full of energy. He had already taken the alchemical potion; Diana was just bandaging his wounds, which would heal soon.
"As long as Diana doesn't arbitrarily direct the sorority's actions, you don't need to stop her."
"You're spoiling those androids too much," Guard Zero frowned. "Their fanaticism will cause problems one day."
"The androids are created in a slightly different way than you, but they are loyal nonetheless. As loyal as you are, that's enough." Salomon waved his hand, trying to herd Guard Zero into the portal before Diana could return. Even though the android maid was as volatile as a nuclear bomb, in Salomon's eyes she was still a cute and considerate little maid, and the enormous chainsaw sword was nothing more than her toy.
He already knew the inner workings of the Sisterhood, even the little secrets Tita was ashamed to tell him. As long as Tita didn't extend the Sisterhood's activities beyond the Order, Salomon could turn a blind eye, pretending not to see it, and incidentally, he could use Tita and the androids' behavior to test the loyalty of the new staff who had joined the Immortal City.
"Go continue your trial. We'll talk about everything else when you come back alive. I want to spend more time with my lovely little maid. I personally designed Diana's figure; do you think I made her butt so perfect? It's my masterpiece!"
Zero, the Imperial Guard, deliberately ignored his monarch's ramblings, though he was still pleased that his monarch still had the spirit to spout nonsense. What Zero didn't know was that Dinah, as the first android, was originally intended, as Salomon had stated, to be a perfect love doll, a backup plan prepared by a repressed spellcaster for his single life. Combat abilities were merely secondary; therefore, Dinah's physique was prioritized.
Diana knew this, and she was more than happy to take on this task. However, the witch beat her to it, completely ruining her plan to create humans.
"Oh, right! The blood loss almost made me forget something!" Salomon seemed to recall something. "Find that little nun Gabby an easy job at the company acquired by the Immortal City, and while you're at it, ask her what name she wants for Damon Helstrom's daughter. The young girl should be raised by the Sorority, with Gabby and Anna Helstrom seeing her once a month to prevent them from having too much influence on her. There are already enough demonic beings on Earth; I hope the Sorority's life can slow her descent into demonic blood. Besides, I have a plan for that girl."
"Yes, my lord." Guard Zero suspected that the monarch had deliberately delayed bringing this up until now to avoid him, as a member of the guard, asking questions and causing the monarch to suffer from pangs of conscience. He didn't believe the nonsense that simple blood loss could make the monarch's mind go blank, but he still walked into the portal without a word and didn't ask any questions about the matter until Diana opened the door again.
The android maid sniffed the ionized air, realizing the Royal Guard had left. A sweet smile immediately appeared on her face. For the android, she shared an unbreakable, mysterious bond with Salomon; her master's favor was everything. Whether the Royal Guard was the monarch's creation or not, she loathed the boy who shared the monarch's affection.
"My lord, they've gone for a tour of the town in their carriages. Should I call the witches back?" she asked, blinking. "If they don't make it back in time, I can help them out."
"My wounds will be healed by the time they get back. Hela didn't cause me much trouble, there's no need to make a fuss." Salomon smiled. "Quickly turn on the TV for me, tune it to the women's high jump or women's tennis channel, I need to watch a bit before the witch returns."
Please vote! Do you think I'll get Silver Moe if I update at midnight?
