Wizard: This mushroom is too fierce.

The questioning continued, and Ashius asked in surprise, "You have the aptitude of a first-class wizard?"

"They're here!" Roland's expression turned somewhat tense. He had considered this issue while meditating. Judging from the meditation speed of a first-class wizard apprentice, it was almost impossible for him to become a third-class wizard apprentice within the time limit stipulated by the academy.

Of course, Roland could also answer that he used a large amount of spiritual potions to accelerate his cultivation.

But this raises another question: where did you, the son of a knight from the mortal world, obtain the magic stone?

Seemingly sensing Roland's embarrassment, Ashius blinked and spoke up at the opportune moment: "Don't be afraid. It's not uncommon for people with first-class wizard aptitude to become third-class wizard apprentices within a year, they're just rare."

Ashius raised an eyebrow, chanted a spell, and a crimson magical light descended upon Roland. He then said with interest, "Interesting!"

"Roland, you have a great secret, but we don't know if it's your bloodline or some special talent."

After considering for a moment, Ashius said, "I'm more inclined to believe in special talents, because normally, the natural plane won't favor a mortal for no reason."

Upon hearing Ashius's guess, Roland immediately relaxed and respectfully inquired, "Master, may I ask what level my current aptitude is roughly equivalent to?"

"Third class!"

"And it might even get stronger!" Ashius waved his hand, and a book depicting the 'Natural Plane' flew in front of Roland: "You're lucky, Roland. The favor of the Natural Plane isn't something just anyone can obtain."

"Even for a first-ring wizard like myself, gaining the favor of the natural plane is as difficult as ascending to heaven."

"Take it!" Ashus controlled the book to fall into Roland's hands, then said softly, "Consider this book, which records the 'Natural Planes,' my first gift to you."

Roland's eyes widened, her heart pounding with excitement: "Thank you, mentor!"

In the wizarding world, knowledge is power, and this book, being so thick, probably contains many mysteries.

"Don't thank me yet!" Ashius smiled, then waved his hand again, and an ancient black storage ring appeared in the air and slowly floated down into Roland's hand: "This spatial ring was given to me by my mentor when I was still an apprentice. Although it only has three cubic meters, it should be enough for you when you are an apprentice."

"Now it's yours, Roland." Ashius thought for a moment and said seriously, "I hope that one day in the future you can pass it on to your students."

Roland sat up straight, accepted the ring with both hands, and said firmly, "It will definitely happen, teacher!"

Although Roland didn't know exactly how many magic stones this ring would cost, he guessed it wouldn't be cheap, as spatial materials were expensive no matter where they were.

Moreover, this ring is a special preaching ring, and should be cherished.

Ashius nodded, then suddenly added, "Oh...right, the ring contains the wizard apprentice uniform the academy gave you, as well as a communication device that connects to the academy's internal forum."

"Alright, now that we've covered these trivial matters, let's talk about your future plans." Ashius's face suddenly turned serious. "According to the academy's requirements, you need to advance to the rank of second-class wizard apprentice within five years."

"Professor Ashus, what are the requirements for advancing to the second-class wizard apprentice level?" Roland asked softly.

"Increase mental strength to 50 points, construct at least fifteen attribute runes, master one spell, and successfully learn an advanced meditation technique."

"Of course, my requirements for you go beyond that. According to my requirements, you must also perfectly complete the three major general courses, one advanced basic course, master at least three spells, and evolve the special runes that I will teach you in the future."

"Of course, none of this is free. You need to complete the tasks for me and pay me the corresponding magic stones."

Ashius rattled off a long list of demands, which Roland analyzed one by one, asking questions whenever he encountered something he didn't know.

"Teacher, what are special runes, and what is hunting?"

Ashius waved his hand, and a pile of books reappeared in the air before landing on the ground. He pointed to the books and said, "Your problems can all be solved in these books. We can discuss them again after you have a basic understanding of them."

After saying that, Ashius smiled faintly: "Believe me, Roland, this special rune will be something you'll never forget!"

"Now let's talk about the courses you'll be taking and the tasks I'm giving you."

The three main public courses are "The Course on Everything," "The Course on Runes," and "The Course on Meditation."

"The Course on All Things is the basic encyclopedia of how wizarding society operates. Although it's dry, it's practical. The Course on Runes is the skeleton of all extraordinary abilities. Our path to professional advancement as wizards is inseparable from runes. The Course on Meditation is a course to solidify one's own foundation." After Ashius finished speaking, he paused slightly and added, "Roland, these three courses are all very important. You must study them well. They are the first step for a wizard to understand himself and learn to think."

"The advanced course I've chosen for you is 'Practical Monster Anatomy,' which I will teach you personally. Of course, you'll need to give me enough magic stones."

"As for the task I'm giving you, we'll talk about that when you're stronger."

"Then what about advanced meditation methods, teacher?" Roland asked again.

"I will teach you the advanced meditation technique in a few days. It will cost 1 magic stones, and you will also need to sign a transaction contract created by the Council of Truth to ensure that it will not be passed on to a second person."

Upon hearing the exorbitant cost of magic stones, Roland gave a bitter laugh: "Teacher, I don't have any magic stones..."

Ashius stood up and suddenly gave a wicked smile: "Of course, no money? No problem. Your teacher is a well-known moneylender in the Deep Caverns."

"You are my student. I'll arrange a low-interest loan for you. Please agree to it. You have ten years to pay it off, and the interest rate is two percent."

"2 magic stones. Use them sparingly. Basically, this is all the resources you have before becoming a first-class apprentice."

Ashus suddenly changed the subject, instructing, "In our white wizard society, you need magic stones to do everything, including attending classes, learning spells, submitting articles to academic journals... all kinds of activities. Remember, never waste magic stones carelessly, especially since these magic stones don't belong to you."

"Once bankrupt, it's almost impossible for a wizard apprentice to recover."

"This is not just a matter of a single asset, but a matter of reputation, especially for you wizarding apprentices. If your reputation is ruined, you're all finished."

Roland kept it in mind and thought of his treasure-hunting mushroom, "Golden Dodo." He wondered if its treasure-hunting ability could be strengthened so that it could collect more magic stones every day.
