Kyoto Night Kiss

Chapter 5: You want to get back together with me?

Qu Yun gripped her sleeve tightly, her heart pounding.

Seven years, seven years old.

She is allergic to peanuts, just like her.

A strong feeling of nausea rushed to Qu Yun's throat, and she squatted down on the ground, clutching the scar on her stomach from the cesarean section.

There are some things I simply dare not even think about.

She clearly heard the doctor announce with her own ears that the baby in her womb had died.

"Mommy... Waaah, Mommy..." Cheng Chongchong's tearful voice reached Qu Yun's ears.

Qu Yun gasped for breath, reached out a trembling hand to gently pat the child in front of her, and smiled reassuringly, "Mommy's okay."

"Mom is a little worried about your classmate's health and wants to take her to the hospital to check on her in person. So, would it be okay if we took Chongchong to our neighbor's house to do her homework first?"

The chubby boy nodded. "Okay, Mom will make sure my deskmate gets better soon."

hospital.

Lu Jinxing immediately received an anti-allergy IV drip, which greatly relieved his breathing difficulties. However, his entire body was covered in small red rashes that were extremely itchy but he couldn't scratch them.

The little child lay on the hospital bed, neither crying nor making a fuss, but his eyes were bloodshot from holding his breath.

He is so well-behaved.

Even the attending physician had never seen such a patient child. After glancing at the child's father, the doctor said in a low voice, "Come with me to get some allergy medication that you can carry with you."

"In addition, I think the child may be experiencing some psychological problems."

Yan Suling entered the ward right after Lu Junhe left, her brows furrowing as usual.

Lu Jinxing, who had been resting against the headboard, suddenly straightened his back and respectfully greeted her, "Hello, Grandma."

The housekeeper accompanying Yan Suling brought over a stool. After she sat down gracefully, she scolded her grandson on the bed, "You've become quite capable now, getting yourself kept on campus and hospitalized."

"Didn't you know you were allergic to peanuts? Why did you eat them?"

Having been shrewd for most of her life, she could easily guess what a seven-year-old child was thinking.

Yan Suling beckoned to the butler and instructed, "Go and find out what the young master did today and who he met."

Lu Jinxing panicked immediately.

If Grandma finds out everything, he might never see his deskmate again, nor that kind aunt...

"Grandma, I'm sorry, I know I was wrong." Lu Jinxing knelt down on the bed with both knees. The movement was so big that bright red blood flowed out of the IV drip tube.

He ignored the pain and kept apologizing to the dignified old woman in front of him: "Grandma, I will definitely be a good boy from now on."

"Good girl?" Yan Suling laughed sarcastically.

She narrowed her eyes, thinking of the doll she'd found in her grandson's schoolbag that morning: "If you were really a good boy, why would you pick up something I threw away?"

Both father and son would only go against her decisions regarding what that woman left behind!

If she can't cure the older ones, surely she can cure the younger ones?

Lu Jinxing immediately realized what was going on.

The little bear was thrown away by his grandmother.

He's such a bad kid. Actually, as soon as he touched the little bear hanging on Cheng Chong's schoolbag, he immediately knew it wasn't his.

Cheng Chong's teddy bear is so new.

But he didn't want to lose the only thing his mother had left him, so he shamelessly reached out to snatch it.

It's as if only in this way can it be proven that he is also a child with a mother.

Lu Jinxing didn't cry when his allergies were severe.

Even when he was scared of getting needles, Lu Jinxing didn't cry.

At that moment, he could no longer hold back the grievances welling up from the bottom of his heart and burst into tears.

Yan Suling found the crying annoying and noisy.

Her expression was even colder than before: "Why are you crying? Have you forgotten all those manners you were taught?"

"What a disappointing child! No wonder people say genes are so important; you just inherited that from your..."

"Mom!" Lu Junhe rushed into the ward, his voice almost shouting.

His entire aura exuded a subtle displeasure.

I glanced at the hospital bed and saw my son, so small, his face flushed red as he tried to stop crying, his whole body trembling.

And the IV tube on the back of his hand was almost completely red.

Lu Junhe walked over and gently opened Lu Jinxing's small hand.

Yan Suling belatedly realized that her tone had softened slightly: "A little blood won't kill you, just call a nurse."

Lu Junhe's eyes darkened, becoming sharp.

Just as he was about to speak, his son suddenly grabbed his fingers with his small hand and looked up with moist eyes, as if to say that he was alright.

Lu Jinxing didn't want to see his father and grandmother arguing.

Yan Suling scoffed, "You two have such a deep father-son bond, and I'm the villain, okay?"

"Mom," Lu Junhe called out calmly.

He slightly lifted his eyelids: "Do I need to remind you again? This child is your only grandson in this lifetime."

Lu Junhe underwent a tubal ligation surgery a week after Lu Jinxing was born.

He may not know how to be a good father.

But when he heard the mother tell her child, who was still in the neonatal intensive care unit, that he couldn't go on living and that it would be better for him to die sooner rather than later.

He made the decision to get sterilized immediately and has never regretted it.

Lu Junhe deliberately avoided looking at his son sitting on the bed. He said wearily, "I will bring the child to call you during holidays in the future."

"You should not see him at any other time."

Yan Suling was furious.

As Yan Suling was going down the escalator, she saw a blurry figure running upwards.

She frowned and whispered a few words in the butler's ear.

Qu Yun searched for a long time for a ward, but luckily she ran into Lu Junhe who had just come out of the ward.

The ward door was tightly closed, and she couldn't see inside.

Qu Yun asked, panting, "Is the child alright? I brought him some ointment, this is what I..."

Before she could finish speaking, Lu Junhe coldly interrupted her: "It's nothing."

Qu Yun continued, "His allergy is so severe, he's bound to get rashes all over his body. This ointment can relieve the itching, it's what I..."

"I told you it's nothing." Lu Junhe interrupted Qu Yun once again.

The man didn't take the ointment that Qu Yun offered him.

After waiting a few seconds, Qu Yun decided to push open the ward door without permission and see for herself.

She had quite a few questions to ask.

However, as soon as her hand touched the cold doorknob, Lu Junhe turned to the side and stopped her.

He didn't even bother to lift his eyelids, his thin lips coldly saying, "Why are you so concerned about your ex's son?"

"Do you want to get back together with me, or do you want to be the child's stepmother?"

Qu Yun was speechless for a long time before she finally managed to utter two words in a trembling voice: "Bastard."

Lu Junhe didn't seem to care about her reaction.

He said, "You should take care of your own children."

This is also psychological advice given by doctors.

Children from broken homes are prone to blaming themselves for the mistakes of others. It is better to tell a child that their mother is gone than to force them to constantly choose between their parents later in life.

A woman who already has a new husband and new children.

Since it's impossible to appear in its entirety, it's better not to appear at all.

Lu Junhe remained silent for a moment, then said calmly, "I will withdraw the hotel's complaint."

"Please, Miss Qu, stay away from my son in the future."
