The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"this……"

Chen Jinfei hesitated for a moment.

Deep down, Chen Jinfei certainly didn't want Liu Yifei to terminate her contract with Hongxingwu.

However, Lin Bufan has already brought this up, and Liu Yifei herself has agreed. He also wants to invest in Kyoto Entertainment, so this must be a prerequisite for the other party.

"Don't worry, Mr. Chen, we will compensate you for the termination fee according to the original contract."

Lin Bufan looked at Chen Jinfei.

"No need for the termination fee."

Chen Jinfei waved his hand and then said, "Over the years, Qianqian has also made a lot of money for the company."

Hongxingwu has only two shareholders: Chen Jinfei and Liu Xiaoli. However, Chen Jinfei owns 90% of the shares, while Liu Xiaoli owns only 10%.

Almost all the money Liu Yifei earned for the company went into his pocket.

"Mr. Chen, let's keep things separate."

Lin Bufan shook his head slightly, then took out a check and a pen from his pocket.

"Here's ten million; I believe that's enough for Sisi's breach of contract penalty."

As Lin Bufan spoke, he placed the check on the table and pushed it towards Chen Jinfei with one hand.

After saying that, Lin Bufan turned to Liu Xiaoli and said, "Auntie, do you have a printer at home? Could you please print out a copy of the contract in which Qianqian terminates her contract with Hongxingwu?"

"good!"

Liu Xiaoli glanced at Lin Bufan with a somewhat complicated expression, then got up and left the living room.

She never expected that when her daughter was pregnant, Lin Bufan was just an ordinary directing student at the Beijing Film Academy. Who would have thought that a few months later, the movie he filmed in Hollywood would be nominated for a Golden Globe Award, and the six nominations would have a chance to be nominated for an Oscar.

Even if you don't win an Oscar, being nominated for one is still considered prestigious.

In addition, the recently released film "Love is Not Blind" grossed over 10 million yuan on its opening day, solidifying Lin Bufan's reputation as a commercial director.

"Director Lin, why don't we discuss investing in Kyoto Entertainment while Xiaoli is printing the contract?"

Chen Jinfei looked at Lin Bufan with a big smile on his face.

The reason he agreed to terminate his contract with Liu Yifei so readily was because he wanted to invest in Lin Bufan's Kyoto Entertainment.

"Mr. Chen, please wait a moment. I'll take Qianqian back to her room to rest first."

As Lin Bufan spoke, he helped Liu Yifei up by the arm: "As President Chen knows, Qianqian is now quite far along in her pregnancy, and sitting for long periods of time is tiring. I'll help her back to her room to rest."

"Of course, of course..."

Chen Jinfei nodded with a smile and watched Lin Bufan and Qianqian walk up the stairs before he withdrew his smile.

"Bufan, have you ever considered agreeing to the Godfather investing in Kyoto Entertainment?"

After returning to the room, Lin Bufan helped Liu Yifei lie down by the arm. After she lay down, she looked at Lin Bufan and suddenly spoke.

"You noticed?"

Lin Bufan looked at Liu Yifei with some surprise.

Was I being that obvious?

"Do you think I'm like my mom, that pregnancy makes me stupid for three years?" Liu Yifei glared at Lin Bufan with dissatisfaction and gave a huff.

"Of course not."

Lin Bufan hurriedly shook his head, looking at Liu Yifei with righteous indignation: "If anyone dares to say that my Qianqian is stupid, I'll fight them."

"snort!"

Liu Yifei rolled her eyes at him.

……

A few minutes later, Liu Xiaoli returned to the living room with the printed contract and placed it in front of Lin Bufan and Chen Jinfei.

"Mr. Chen!"

Lin Bufan looked at Chen Jinfei.

"good!"

Chen Jinfei didn't mince words; since he had agreed, there was no need to hesitate.

Pick up a pen from the side, sign your name on the contract, and press your fingerprint on it.

"All signed!"

Chen Jinfei looked up at Lin Bufan and said with a smile, "Tomorrow, take the contract to the company and get it stamped with the company seal, and it will be effective."

"The official seal is right here."

Liu Xiaoli, who was standing nearby, said, "I needed the company seal yesterday, so I brought it back."

Normally, Liu Xiaoli handles all the affairs of Hongxingwu, so she is also responsible for keeping the company seal. Chen Jinfei is just the largest shareholder.

"That's perfect."

As Chen Jinfei spoke, he waited for Liu Xiaoli to bring the company seal and then stamped it directly on the contract.

The contract was made in duplicate. After signing the contract, from that moment on, Liu Yifei and Hongxingwu had no further relationship.

"Now that the contract is signed, we can talk about investing in Kyoto Entertainment."

Chen Jinfei put down the contract and looked at Lin Bufan.

In Chen Jinfei's view, his agreement to Liu Yifei's termination of her contract with Hongxingwu was a sign of his sincerity, and now it was Lin Bufan's turn to express his opinion.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Chen, Kyoto Entertainment currently has no need for financing."

Lin Bufan smiled, leaned back on the sofa, and looked at Chen Jinfei with a calm gaze.

"What?"

Chen Jinfei was taken aback, then his face darkened, and his voice turned cold: "Are you playing me?"

Clearly, he had figured it out: Lin Bufan was using Kyoto Entertainment to keep him hanging in suspense in order to get Liu Yifei to terminate her contract with Red Starwood smoothly.

He even suspected that this was a trap set for him by Lin Bufan and Liu Yifei and her daughter.

He was overthinking it. Liu Yifei and her daughter were completely unaware of it beforehand, and even Lin Bufan only made the decision on a whim.

"Alright, alright, I, Chen Jinfei, will remember what happened today."

After saying that, Chen Jinfei glanced coldly at Liu Xiaoli and Lin Bufan, then got up and left.

"Why!"

Seeing Chen Jinfei leave in a huff, Liu Xiaoli knew perfectly well that the two had completely broken up this time.

Regardless, Chen Jinfei had taken care of Liu Xiaoli and her daughter for so many years, and she still felt affection for him.

When it comes to her own daughter, Liu Xiaoli will definitely side with Liu Yifei.

……

"Tell me, what's your relationship with Yang Mi?"

Inside the bedroom, Liu Yifei lay in Lin Bufan's arms and hummed a question.

"Love is Not Blind" was Lin Bufan's first domestic film, and the female lead was Yang Mi. She didn't believe that there was no relationship between them.

Moreover, back when she was on the set of "The Return of the Condor Heroes", she noticed that there was a lot of ambiguity in the interactions between Lin Bufan and Yang Mi.

She didn't think much of it at the time, since it had nothing to do with her.

But things are different now; Lin Bufan is the father of her child.

"Childhood friends, you know that."

Lin Bufan answered with complete confidence.

Undeniably, Lin Bufan definitely has feelings for Yang Mi, but he hasn't succeeded yet, so it's not wrong for him to call her his childhood friend.

"What about Chen Zihan?"

Liu Yifei stared wide-eyed at Lin Bufan.

Yang Mi is one thing, but she overheard the staff gossiping about the relationship between Lin Bufan and Chen Zihan back when they were filming "The Return of the Condor Heroes".

"Good friends, you know..."

After saying that, Lin Bufan didn't give Liu Yifei a chance to ask any more questions and directly changed the subject: "By the way, I'm going to Los Angeles in a few days."
