The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

Liu Yifei knew that Lin Bufan was changing the subject, but she didn't call him out on it.

From the moment she accepted Lin Bufan, she knew that Lin Bufan had an ambiguous relationship with Chen Zihan and Yang Mi.

Don't forget, Liu Yifei is also from Beijing Film Academy, so she is well aware of the situation between Lin Bufan and Dong Xuan.

"Hmph, I'm a fairy goddess, why would I be afraid of competing with other women?"

Liu Yifei thought to herself with a touch of pride.

Moreover, she was one step ahead of other women; her child with Lin Bufan was about to be born, and she believed that Lin Bufan would ultimately choose to marry her.

"Don't worry, I'll definitely be back before I give birth."

Lin Bufan held Liu Yifei's small hand and made a promise.

Liu Yifei's due date is February 1st, so there's still a month to go. Besides the Golden Globe Awards, she plans to visit several films in Los Angeles, including "Night at the Museum," "I Am Legend," "Insidious 1," "Kung Fu Panda," "Taken," and "Final Destination 1."

Besides movies, another even more important thing is public relations for the Academy Awards.

Generally speaking, the Oscar nominations are announced after the Golden Globe Awards ceremony.

Lin Bufan wouldn't dare say that "Manchester by the Sea" would definitely win an award, but he was confident it would be nominated for an Oscar.

Whether or not they will ultimately win an award depends on public relations.

Don't think that the Oscars are so sacred. In reality, the films that are nominated are not that different in many aspects. In the end, public relations is a very important factor in whether or not a film wins.

Lin Bufan prepared ten million US dollars for this public relations effort.

Although "Love is Not Blind" has just been released and its box office is booming, it will take at least 2-3 months to receive its share of the box office revenue.

Fortunately, Lin Bufan earned over 100 million yuan by signing in during this period, which is equivalent to more than 20 million US dollars.

After leaving Liu Yifei, Lin Bufan drove to the company.

He'll be going to Los Angeles after New Year's Day, so he'll take care of things at the company first.

"Boss!"

As soon as Lin Bufan arrived at the company, his assistant Bai Bing came to greet him.

"Notify the HR manager to come over."

"Yes, boss!"

Upon entering the office, Lin Bufan's first action was to sign in.

[Congratulations, host! Weekly sign-in successful. Rewards: 1 bottle of Liuwei Emperor Pills (10 pills) + 1 bottle of Beauty and Nourishing Pills (10 pills) + 1 million RMB, 1 Skill Upgrade Scroll Treasure Chest, and the song "Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies"]

"I guessed right!"

Lin Bufan looked at the bottle of Six-Flavor Emperor Pill, the bottle of Beauty and Nourishing Pill, the skill upgrade scroll treasure chest, and a song sheet music that appeared on the table.

Needless to say, he now eats the Six-Flavor Emperor Pill almost like candy, with the only side effect being a surge in his combat power.

"Now that I'm back from Hollywood, I can give this beauty and skincare pill to a few women."

As Lin Bufan spoke, he put the two bottles of medicine into his dimensional space.

Given his previous status, it's somewhat unrealistic for him to suddenly produce something so valuable.

But now that his status is different, when he takes out this beauty and health pill, it is not only convincing, but also won't make people think too much.

As usual, Lin Bufan opened the Skill Upgrade Scroll Chest directly. This time, he was lucky and got 3 Skill Upgrade Scrolls.

Lin Bufan did a careful calculation and found that he had now collected a total of 16 skill upgrade scrolls.

"It's Shin Band again!"

After Lin Bufan put the skill upgrade scroll into his dimensional space, he picked up "Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies" and glanced at it.

Previously, the song "I Will Love You Till I Die," which was signed by Shin Band, was also a collaboration.

"Knock knock knock!"

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

"Enter!"

"Boss, Manager Lü is here."

Bai Bing led Lü Suxin into the office.

"sit!"

Lin Bufan gestured to Lü Suxin, and after she sat down, he said directly, "The company is planning to set up a music department. I'm going to Hollywood after New Year's Day. You'll be in charge of recruiting a music department manager."

Previously, Lin Bufan had never considered establishing a music department.

But things are different now. He can sign in a song every week, which adds up to more than fifty songs in 52-53 weeks a year. He can't just leave them there forever.

Therefore, the music department was created as a result.

"Yes, Mr. Lin!"

Lü Suxin nodded in agreement.

After Lü Suxin left, Bai Bing blinked her big eyes and looked at Lin Bufan: "Boss, can I come with you to Hollywood this time?"

Bai Bing's family is relatively well-off, but she has never been abroad, especially not to Hollywood.

She's from Northwest University of Political Science and Law, majoring in international law. The reason she applied for the job of Lin Bufan's assistant is because she's particularly curious about the entertainment industry.

"What are you thinking about?"

Lin Bufan glanced at Bai Bing speechlessly: "You're my assistant, how could I not take you?"

"Go, book two tickets to Los Angeles for tomorrow night."

"Yes, boss!"

Bai Bing went out excitedly.

"Remember, first class."

"Understood, boss!"

Lin Bufan had great faith in Lü Suxin's abilities. He estimated that by the time he returned from Hollywood, the music department manager would be almost ready to be selected.

……

The film "Love is Not Blind" was released on Saturday, December 31, 2005, and grossed 15.2 million yuan on its opening day.

"Boss, the plane tickets are booked."

Half an hour later, Bai Bing knocked on the door and came in.

"By the way, boss, the box office results came out yesterday."

As Bai Bing spoke, she handed a form to Lin Bufan.

"Oh? How much?"

As Lin Bufan spoke, he took the form that Bai Bing handed him and casually asked a question.

"Yesterday, the daily box office of 'Love is Not Blind' exceeded 20 million, reaching 2485 million."

Bai Bing's voice trembled slightly as she spoke.

Yesterday was January 1st, which is New Year's Day. The box office continued to grow, breaking 1 million yuan in a single day, and even surpassing the single-day box office record of 2200 million yuan set by "The Promise" half a month ago.

"So tall?"

Lin Bufan looked at the bill in his hand, and even he was somewhat surprised by the daily box office figures.

This list shows that "Love is Not Blind" had the highest box office in Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou. Yesterday alone, Beijing contributed 325 million yuan, Shanghai 308 million yuan, and Guangzhou 301 million yuan.

The combined box office revenue of these three cities reached 934 million, while the remaining 10 million came from other cities across the country.

"Feed?"

Just then, an unknown number called Lin Bufan's work phone number.

Bai Bing is currently in charge of this phone number.

At Lin Bufan's prompting, Bai Bing answered the phone.

"Miss Chen Hong?"
