The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"You darling, honey! It's been a while, and you've forgotten all about me, haven't you?"

As Lin Bufan spoke, he suppressed Yang Mi with one hand.

No matter how much Yang Mi resisted, she couldn't escape Lin Bufan's grasp.

"snort!"

A few minutes later, Yang Mi escaped from Lin Bufan's grasp. Looking at her disheveled hair in the mirror, she glared angrily at Lin Bufan.

"Tell me, what did you do in Hollywood?"

After entering the room, Yang Mi looked at Lin Bufan and interrogated him.

"Nonsense, what else can we do besides making movies!"

Lin Bufan had a calm expression.

"What? You're going to Hollywood to make a movie?"

Yang Mi was taken aback upon hearing this.

In this era, Hollywood is like a god to the domestic film and television industry. Even if you only play a small supporting role in Hollywood, you can come back and claim to be an international superstar.

"Is there any need to be so surprised?"

Lin Bufan glanced at Yang Mi, a smile playing on his lips.

"You know the answer already, so you ask."

Yang Mi rolled her eyes at him. She didn't believe Lin Bufan didn't understand the significance of going to Hollywood to make movies, especially since he was a directing student.

"How was it filming in Hollywood?"

Yang Mi looked at him with great curiosity, while in her heart she was thinking that with her relationship with Lin Bufan, once he established himself in Hollywood, she might also have the opportunity to enter Hollywood in the future.

After seeing Yang Mi off, Lin Bufan tidied up briefly and took a taxi to Liu Yifei's house.

"It's about time to buy a car."

Lin Bufan earns one million yuan by checking in every day. After more than three months, he now has one hundred million yuan in cash in his account.

As for the money used to mortgage the courtyard house to get a bank loan, Lin Bufan decided to postpone it for now, as he had a very important use for this money.

If "Manchester by the Sea" is nominated for an Oscar, it will need to spend money on public relations, but he doesn't know exactly how much that will cost.

……

"That Lin Bufan hasn't shown his face for over three months. What exactly does he mean by this?"

Inside Liu Yifei's room, Liu Xiaoli looked displeased.

"Mom, Bufan went to Hollywood to make a movie."

Liu Yifei explained to Liu Xiaoli with a helpless expression.

"Going to Hollywood to make movies?"

Liu Xiaoli scoffed dismissively, "Just because he's a newcomer?"

She knows Hollywood, doesn't she? It's not that easy to make a name for yourself there.

Let alone the fact that Lin Bufan is just a director student from Beijing Film Academy who hasn't graduated, even if you add all the students and teachers from Beijing Film Academy together, they still wouldn't be qualified to make movies in Hollywood.

"Mom, it's true!"

Liu Yifei believed it to be true, as Lin Bufan called her almost every day during this period.

"You'll find out later."

Liu Xiaoli shook her head at Liu Yifei. Everyone says that pregnancy makes you stupid for three years, and now she truly believes it.

I don't know what kind of spell Lin Bufan cast on his daughter, but she actually believes him so much.

"Oh, right, your godfather is coming over later. I'll have a good talk with him then and ask him to invest in a movie for Lin Bufan as a trial." Liu Xiaoli sighed.

She knew very well that her daughter had the same personality as her, never giving up until she hit a wall.

Since that's the case, she's willing to give Lin Bufan a chance. If he's truly talented, that's fine; but if he can't seize the opportunity, then she can't blame herself.

Even if her own daughter hates her, she will take her daughter away and never let Qianqian see him again.

"Really? Mom, that's wonderful!"

Upon hearing this, Liu Yifei's face lit up with surprise.

She wasn't sure if Lin Bufan's trip to Hollywood would go smoothly. If he could establish himself in Hollywood, that would be fine. But if he couldn't, he would still have a way out when he returned.

"Don't be too happy yet. Last time Lin Bufan called you 'Godfather Old Deng,' he was really angry." Liu Xiaoli shook her head and looked at Liu Yifei: "When your godfather comes later, apologize to him properly, understand?"

In Liu Xiaoli's view, Lin Bufan's calling Chen Jinfei "Old Deng" was a very immature act.

"I understand, Mom."

Liu Yifei nodded.

Just then, a doorbell rang downstairs.

"It must be your godfather who's here."

As Liu Xiaoli spoke, she went downstairs to open the door.

But when the door opened, they found that it wasn't Chen Jinfei standing there, but Lin Bufan.

"Aunt!"

Lin Bufan greeted him with a smile.

"Come in!"

Liu Xiaoli gave Lin Bufan a deep look, then stepped aside and said, "Come in!"

"I heard from Sissi that you went to Hollywood to make a movie?"

After entering the villa, Liu Xiaoli gestured for Lin Bufan to sit on the sofa, and then asked.

"Yes, Auntie!"

Lin Bufan nodded; there was nothing to hide about this matter.

Which company is the main producer and distributor of the film?

Liu Xiaoli looked at Lin Bufan with a hint of anticipation in her heart.

Her dissatisfaction with Lin Bufan stemmed mainly from the fact that he had quietly taken her daughter away, but since her daughter was willing, she had no choice but to accept it.

If possible, she would certainly hope that Lin Bufan would succeed.

"It's Extraordinary Pictures."

"Extraordinary Pictures?"

Upon hearing the name, Liu Xiaoli frowned slightly; she had never heard of it before.

Of course, this was a company that Lin Bufan had just established, so how could Liu Xiaoli possibly know about it?

"Why……"

Liu Xiaoli shook her head. She had just been thinking that even if the main controller of the film was not one of the Hollywood Big Eight, it would be fine if it was some well-known independent film company. But she had never heard of this Extraordinary Pictures before.

In other words, it's a third-rate company.

"It seems we still have to give Old Chen a chance to try."

Just as Liu Xiaoli was making her decision, Liu Yifei, who was in her room upstairs, heard Lin Bufan's voice coming from downstairs and hurriedly got up and went downstairs.

"Be careful!"

Upon seeing Liu Yifei, heavily pregnant, come down the stairs, Lin Bufan rushed over and took her arm.

Liu Yifei is now 170 days pregnant, a little over six months (pregnancy is calculated in 4-week increments per month, with full term being 40 weeks), and her belly is shaped like a small basin.

Originally, Liu Yifei was 170cm tall and weighed 106 jin (53 catties), but now her weight has soared to 156 jin (78 catties), a gain of 50 jin (25 catties), and she has become quite round.

"You're back!"

Liu Yifei smiled when she saw Lin Bufan.

Actually, Liu Yifei's feelings for Lin Bufan weren't very deep to begin with; she just had some affection for him. But everything changed after she became pregnant.

Especially when Lin Bufan was in Los Angeles, he would call her every day, and she would tell herself that he was the father of her child, so she unconsciously developed a dependence on Lin Bufan.
