Chapter 57 Word of Power: Time Zero (Please continue reading! orz)

The golden-red color flashed by like a streak of light.

Then a spherical missile, only the size of a fist, was launched.

"Get down!" Stark shouted through the megaphone on his armor.

The spherical missile pierced through the flesh mountain monster's skin, and in an instant, countless bright red laser beams erupted from under the flesh mountain monster's skin, spinning like a meat grinder, shredding the flesh mountain monster's body to pieces.

A large number of blood-red flesh worms gushed out from the body of the flesh mountain monster. Many of them had been cut into pieces by the laser cutting lines, and the cut surfaces were charred black and emitted a disgusting stench.

But countless flesh worms managed to escape, emitting a chilling rustling sound.

"Little Spider, it's lunchtime," Tony Stark said with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Peter Parker frowned, intending to say something in rebuttal, but only a dozen seconds remained before the nuclear bomb Wesker had mentioned was about to fall overhead.

Peter Parker then gave up the chance to defend himself and instead said, "Mr. Stark, Wesker is going to drop a nuclear bomb on Raccoon City."

Upon hearing this, Tony Stark curled his lip: "Is he insane? This is American soil, after all. He dares to release a nuclear bomb on American soil? Isn't that a slap in the face to the Congress?"

As they were talking, Tony Stark suddenly looked at Hilbert Jean Angers and blurted out, "Why do you look so familiar?"

Just then, the S.H.I.E.L.D. communicator in Hill's hand finally regained its communication function, crackling and hissing – it was Nick Fury's voice.

Nick Fury's image was also projected onto the S.H.I.E.L.D. communicator.

Nick Fury said anxiously, "General Ross has dropped a nuclear bomb on Raccoon City! The bomb is now over Raccoon City! Everyone, get out of here!"

Steve clenched his fists and said, "Are you kidding me? How could we possibly abandon the residents of this city!"

Nick Fury said emphatically, "Steve, you need to think this through. Time is running out. We can't move the survivors from Raccoon City!"

"Actually, there is a way," Angers suddenly interrupted Nick Fury.

Nick Fury had no information about Angers and looked at him with some confusion: "Who are you?"

Steve immediately interrupted Nick Fury, saying in a deep voice, "This is not the time to talk about this." After saying that, Steve looked at Angers and said, "If you have a way to stop the nuclear bomb from exploding, please do it now."

Angers smiled and walked up to Tony Stark; they could already see the B-2 bomber in the sky.

The nuclear bomb had only 15 seconds left before it was about to detonate.

"I'll have to trouble you to take me up," Angers said.

Tony Stark frowned: "An ordinary person's body, without protection, simply cannot withstand the acceleration of the armor."

"What a coincidence, I'm no ordinary person," Angers said, placing his hand on Tony Stark's shoulder.

Angers' eyes instantly turned a brilliant golden color, his pupils contracted, and like a lizard, fine black scales appeared on his cheeks.

"Blood Burst!" Angers' mouth and nose spewed out white steam-like vapor.

"Word of Power: Time Zero!"

Tony Stark's eyes widened, and everything around him seemed to be in slow motion, as if it were submerged in sticky glue.

He saw Nick Fury's mouth slowly open, the neon lights flickering slowly at the edges, and the nuclear bomb that was about to reach Raccoon City, almost hovering in the air.

Tony Stark's Fate Points increased by 2555.

Tony Stark's eyes widened in surprise: "What is this?"

Angers wore a calm smile: "This is my ability, Word of Power: Time Zero."

In the realm of time zero, everything around me slows down drastically, and only I and the creatures I permit can move normally.

"The nuclear bomb has 15 seconds left to detonate. I can extend that time by 50 times, which means—"

"We have 750 seconds left," Tony Stark immediately announced, utterly horrified. "I feel like my worldview has been violated."

"You have a lifetime to reminisce, now take me up there."

Without further hesitation, Tony Stark carried Angers on his back and soared into the sky, flying towards the nuclear warhead that was flashing red light.

The instant they made contact, Angers pulled out his folding knife, the blade tracing the nuclear bomb, precisely removing the fuse and taking away the core warhead.

The moment the Word of Power: Time Zero is closed, the Time Domain becomes ineffective.

The nuclear warhead flew over Raccoon City like an arrow released from a bow.

However, the expected airburst did not occur. The nuclear warhead, as if it had run out of fuel, crashed straight into the two tallest buildings in Raccoon City.

The nuclear bomb didn't detonate, and Steve breathed a sigh of relief, but then instantly became alert: "Something's wrong!"

He looked at the two men on the ground and saw that Tony Stark's armor was severely deformed, and there were even signs of backfire on the outer shell.

The other man, Angers, remained expressionless, as if the previous action had not depleted his strength much.

"You should keep this. Those lunatics in the equipment department are giving me enough headaches." Angers pointed to the tactical nuclear warhead with a yield of 5000 tons at his feet.

Nick Fury, who had maintained communication the entire time, had no idea what had happened and asked in confusion, "What just happened? Who stopped the nuclear airburst?"

Tony Stark unfastened his armor, crawled out of the nearly scrap metal suit, panting and drenched in sweat.

He stood up, straightened his clothes, and said, "Before building the next suit of armor, I should add heat resistance to it."

Angers laughed and said, "Your armor has a top speed of Mach 3, but under the effect of my Word of Power, it is fifty times faster. Being able to withstand an acceleration of Mach 150 shows that your craftsmanship is quite good."

Tony Stark shrugged. "Thanks for the compliment."

Peter Parker exclaimed in shock, "What? Mr. Angers, you can actually accelerate with others? I thought you could only accelerate alone."

Angers explained, "Not just anyone can withstand the amplification of my Word of Power. If he's not wearing armor, during the acceleration..."

He was already dead by then.

Accelerate—Steve recalled the scene of Angers' battle with William, the eerie speed of which still made him shudder.

"What is Word Magic?" Gwen asked curiously.

Angers said, "Our ancestors learned the abilities of the dragons in order to deal with them. Words of power are the power of the dragons."
