Tomb raiders: You stole my little Qilin?

Chapter 62, First Group Photo

"Young man, this is still small, it's not tasty." Wu Wei walked over to him, thinking he was picking out ingredients.

Zhang Qiling turned her head and stared at him intently for several seconds.

Then he stuffed the fresh milk into Wu Wei's free hand, and continued to stare at the chicks without saying a word.

Wu Wei was puzzled by the stares and turned to Hei Xiazi for help.

Hei Xiazi walked over, looked at Zhang Qiling who was squatting on the ground and wouldn't move, then turned to the stall owner and said, "Boss, give me a freshly killed chicken."

"Okay, sure!"

Within minutes, the stall owner deftly brought out a plump, cleaned chicken.

Zhang Qiling immediately got up to take it and left with the two of them.

On the way back, Wu Wei's gaze was drawn to a small roadside stall.

It was a temporary stall set up by a street photographer, with a huge backdrop of a sunset over the sea.

There was a fake coconut tree in front of it.

A child is standing in front of the curtain, making a peace sign, while the photographer raises his camera and shouts "Cheese!"

"Let's take a picture," Wu Wei said to the two people beside him.

Black Bear followed his gaze, a look of disgust on his face:

"What's so interesting about taking pictures of this fake scenery? If you want to take pictures, go to the beach and I'll take real ones for you."

"We'll talk about the real thing later, let's film this first."

Wu Wei pulled him along, saying, "The three of us haven't taken a picture together yet."

Before Hei Xiazi could say anything more, Wu Wei had already turned to Zhang Qiling and asked, "Brother, shall we take the picture?"

Zhang Qiling nodded when he saw Wu Wei's expectant look.

The two men pulled Hei Xiazi to the front of the backdrop, one on each side.

The photographer was a man in his fifties, speaking with a strong Beijing accent, directing them to their positions:

"The three of you, please move back a bit, yes, a little further back. The handsome guy in the middle, put your hands down, be more relaxed—"

Wu Wei muttered to himself, "I can't put it down, my arm is in a sling."

The photographer glanced at his arm in a cast, stroked his chin, thought for a moment, and then had a sudden inspiration:

"Then let's shoot it hanging upside down, it'll be unique! You can tell people you fell while surfing, it'll fit the scene perfectly!"

Wu Wei was amused by him and turned to look at the two people beside him.

Black Bear stood to his left, his nose bridge bare.

Without the sunglasses to conceal it, his angular face was fully exposed to the camera, and his expression looked somewhat unnatural.

Zhang Qiling stood to his right, a tiny smile playing on her lips.

"Ready, one—two—three—"

Wu Wei's eyes crinkled into a smile, revealing a happy expression.

Street photography photos come out very quickly.

Within ten minutes, Wu Wei had taken their first group photo.

Three heads huddled together to look.

Three people stood side by side in front of a fake beach scene.

Hei Xiazi wasn't wearing sunglasses; his deep eyes stared directly at the camera.

Zhang Qiling had an unusual smile on his lips.

Wu Wei, with his arm in a cast, stood in the middle, his smiling face captivating.

"The three of us look really good." Wu Wei shook the photo up and down with satisfaction.

Black Bear snorted, but did not refute.

Zhang Qiling silently took the photo and nodded.

Wu Wei turned into a general store and bought a picture frame.

Once home, I couldn't wait to take the picture frame apart and insert the photo.

Wu Wei stood in the center of the main hall and gestured to several different positions.

Finally, they chose the blank wall directly above the sofa and called Zhang Qiling to get a hammer to hammer in nails.

Zhang Qiling held up the hammer, while Wu Wei directed from the side: "A little to the left, buddy, a little more to the left—that's too much, that's too much, come back a little to the right—okay, right here."

After hammering in the nail and hanging the picture frame, Wu Wei stepped back two paces to examine it carefully and nodded in satisfaction.

"Hey buddy, come down and take a look."

Zhang Qiling came down from the high place and stood next to Wu Wei.

They looked at the picture frame hanging in a place they could see every day.

Wu Wei stood beside him as he looked at the photos, and Wu Wei in the photos was also there, forever frozen in time with him.

Oh, right, and black bears too.

Black Bear also came over, looking at himself in the photo on the wall. He wasn't wearing sunglasses and was smiling a bit silly.

Zhang Qiling stood to the side, and Wu Wei stood in the middle.

He suddenly realized that the photo was actually quite nice.

"Wait, something's not right."

Hei Xiazi, who had been so moved that he was completely out of his daze, finally came to his senses.

"Isn't this the flower you got from the bronze tree hollow? What did you originally intend to give me?"

"Guess!" Wu Wei said to him with a smile.

……

While cooking, Zhang Qiling was assigned the task of picking vegetables, sitting on a stone bench and carefully selecting them.

Wu Wei was allowed not to participate in labor because his arm was in a cast.

He swayed leisurely as he drank the milk Zhang Qiling had given him.

The aroma of the food attracted a tabby cat, which perched on the wall and watched the three people in the yard.

Wu Wei saw it immediately and shouted:

"Mimi, Mimi."

However, Mimi was very aloof; she lingered on the wall for a few steps but didn't come down.

Wu Wei went to the kitchen to get some food, hoping to lure the tabby cat down.

Black Bear gave him a piece of pork rib that had just been blanched and said, "You can't eat it yourself, it's not fully cooked."

Wu Wei glared angrily, "Who do you think I am?"

Black Bear smiled and shook his head.

Wu Wei returned in less than a minute.

He reached out his hand: "Give me a few more coins."

Black Bear teased him, "Not angry anymore?"

Wu Wei snorted, "There's no point in talking to someone like you who doesn't love animals."

The tabby cat ate a few pieces of pork ribs, and Wu Wei even poured some of his milk for it.

The aloof Mimi finally succumbed to the temptation of food.

He reached out to Wu Wei and took the initiative to touch him.

The soft texture made Wu Wei touch it again and again.

"Hey bro, why don't you give it a try?" Wu Wei called out to Zhang Qiling, who was looking over.

Zhang Qiling put down the vegetables she was picking and squatted down with her.

The tabby cat was drinking milk with gusto, and Zhang Qiling watched quietly.

Wu Wei reached out and took Zhang Qiling's hand, leading him to touch the tabby cat.

Zhang Qiling's movements were very gentle, and the tabby cat's ears stretched to the sides, making a purring sound.

Wu Weisong released Zhang Qiling's hand, and the two of them patted each other's heads and backs.

Before long, the tabby cat stopped drinking milk altogether.

He fell to the ground, exposing his belly, and allowed the two men to touch him all over.

Its four paws opened and closed in a rhythmic, gentle rustling.

When Hei Xiazi came out of the kitchen, he found that most of the vegetables he had picked had been placed on the table.

Zhang Qiling, who was originally working, was now squatting with Wu Wei, petting the cat.

Black Bear looked at them speechlessly. "Don't you two want to eat?"

The voice sounded behind him, and Zhang Qiling blinked before remembering the work he hadn't finished.

He returned to the table, intending to continue preparing the vegetables.

"Wash your hands!" Black Bear said.

"Oh." Zhang Qiling obediently went over and washed her hands.

Hei Xiazi, also known as Wu Wei, said, "Come and have a taste."

"Coming!" Wu Wei immediately abandoned Mimi and happily walked towards the kitchen.

The tabby cat, its belly exposed, was stunned, not understanding how the two people who had just been "serving" it had suddenly disappeared.

He stood up, shook his ears, finished the milk in the small bowl, and jumped off the wall.

"Wow, this is so delicious!" Wu Wei sincerely praised the chef from the kitchen.

Black Bear raised his eyebrows smugly, put some food in a small bowl for Wu Wei, and told him to go out and eat.

Wu Wei picked up a piece of food with his chopsticks and fed it to Zhang Qiling, "Little brother, is it delicious?"

Zhang Qiling naturally opened her mouth and ate it: "Delicious."

"You two come and bring the dishes, let's eat right away!"

Black Bear's voice came from the kitchen.

"Here you are!"
