The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple

Chapter 13 I've been drooling over this for so long

Zhou Mei followed Teacher Wu and Teacher Sun into the private room.

As soon as the door was pushed open, several plates of cold dishes were already laid out on the round table, the tablecloth was snow-white, and the tableware was neatly arranged.

The private room was large, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the night view outside, and a sofa and coffee table were placed by the window.

The first thing Zhou Mei saw when she entered the room was the person sitting in the main seat.

Wang Qingchen leaned back in his chair, his black suit jacket open, the collar of his white T-shirt askew to one side.

His left hand rested on the edge of the table, a cigarette dangling from his fingers, while his right hand held a wine glass, which he slowly swirled around.

Seeing Zhou Mei come in, he tucked the cigarette behind his ear and forced a smile.

Zhou Mei stopped in her tracks instantly.

He turned to leave.

Fu Yongwei reacted quickly, darting past her to block the doorway, his face beaming with smiles.

"Teacher Zhou, Teacher Zhou, since you're already here." He pressed his hands down in the air as a reassuring gesture, then quickly winked at Teacher Wu and Teacher Sun.

Teacher Wu immediately understood, stepped forward, took Zhou Mei's arm, and said with a smile, "Mei'er, don't be in such a hurry to leave. Wouldn't it be alright to sit down and have a cup of tea?"

Teacher Sun chimed in, her voice cheerful: "That's right, that's right. It's rare for Director Fu to organize such a gathering. We're colleagues, so let's give the older women some face."

Zhou Mei stood still, her arm linked with Teacher Wu's, her expression indifferent, the curve of her lips unchanged.

His gaze swept past Fu Yongwei's shoulder and coldly swept over Wang Qingchen. He hadn't expected that the three of them had gone to such lengths to invite him, and that he was the one behind it all!

She knew Wang Qingchen all too well.

The largest shareholder on the board of directors of Hohai University is surnamed Wang, and Wang Qingchen is his only son.

Last year, a junior girl got pregnant by him, and the matter caused quite a stir; the girl's parents even came to the school.

No one knows the specific details of how it was resolved in the end. All that is known is that the girl took a leave of absence from school, while Wang Qingchen continued to roam around the school, driving his BMW X7, with someone always in the passenger seat.

After that incident, things calmed down for more than half a year, but I didn't expect it to resurface today.

Zhou Mei felt disgusted just looking at this kind of scum, let alone sitting down to eat with him.

But now I'm stuck here and can't leave. I wish I hadn't come.

Seeing that Zhou Mei had stopped, Fu Yongwei quickly pressed his advantage, rubbing his hands together and lowering his voice to convey a sense of sincerity.

"Teacher Zhou, I know you have concerns. Young Master Wang was a bit immature in the past, but what young man hasn't made mistakes?" He glanced back at Wang Qingchen, who obediently took the cigarette off his ear and placed it on the table, then sat up a little straighter.

Fu Yongwei continued, "Today is just a meal, a chance for us colleagues to catch up. And—" He drawled, looking at Zhou Mei's expression, "the end of the semester is coming up soon, and the school is going to select outstanding counselors, right, Ms. Zhou?"

Zhou Mei's eyelashes fluttered.

Fu Yongwei noticed this detail and softened his voice even more: "There are three spots this year. The selected counselors will be sent to Japan for a study tour during the summer vacation, and the school will cover all the expenses. Teacher Zhou, haven't you always wanted to apply for an intermediate professional title? This study tour experience can definitely add a lot of points during the evaluation process."

Teacher Wu chimed in from the side, her tone sincere: "Mei'er, everyone has seen your work this year. For those financial aid applications from impoverished students in our department, weren't you the one who called each one to urge them to submit their application materials? You were also there every day during freshman military training. In terms of ability and effort, you definitely deserve to be named an outstanding counselor."

Teacher Sun nodded in agreement: "That's right. But then again, when it comes to selections, ability is one thing, but you can't neglect interpersonal skills. You know how much weight Chairman Wang carries at the school's board meetings! If Young Master Wang is willing to put in a good word for you, it's more effective than ten written statements from you."

Zhou Mei stood at the door, her arm still linked with Teacher Wu's. Her gaze swept over the three people's faces one by one, finally landing on Fu Yongwei.

The other person had a smile on their face, but seeing that she still didn't speak, a thin layer of sweat appeared on their forehead.

Zhou Mei glanced at Wang Qingchen.

Wang Qingchen sat in the main seat, raised his wine glass to her, and smiled just right, as if he were cooperating with Fu Yongwei in this play.

He didn't speak, probably knowing that speaking would only have the opposite effect.

Zhou Mei remained silent for a few seconds.

If she were alone with Wang Qingchen, she wouldn't hesitate for even a second and would turn around and leave.

But there were Teacher Wu and Teacher Sun in the private room, who were colleagues who saw each other all the time.

Hotels are public places.

With so many people watching, he probably wouldn't dare to do anything reckless.

Moreover, she really wanted that spot for the study tour to Japan. She had been preparing her materials for the intermediate professional title evaluation for almost a year; she had published her thesis and completed the required teaching hours, all she lacked was a compelling study tour experience.

During last year's professional title evaluation, a teacher with similar qualifications was pushed out of the competition simply because she had overseas study experience.

In addition, although Wang Qingchen is a scumbag, his father has a lot of influence on the school's board of directors, while he is just an ordinary counselor with no background.

Thinking of this, Zhou Mei took a deep breath.

Pulling her arm away from Ms. Wu's, she walked to the round table, pulled out a chair, and sat down, placing her bag on her left.

The seat was right opposite Wang Qingchen.

Seeing Zhou Mei sit down, Fu Yongwei's smile immediately relaxed. He quickly walked to the empty seat between Zhou Mei and Wang Qingchen, pulled out a chair, and sat down, becoming a barrier between the two of them.

"Come, come, everyone, sit down." Fu Yongwei invited Teacher Wu and Teacher Sun to sit down.

Just then, the waiter came in and began pouring tea for everyone. "Teacher Zhou, please have some tea first. Their Pu'er tea is quite good."

Zhou Mei took the teacup, placed it on the table without drinking it, thinking that she would leave after sitting for a while.

From the moment Zhou Mei entered the private room, Wang Qingchen's gaze never left her.

The burgundy silk shirt gleamed with a muted sheen under the private room's lights. As she sat down, the collar of the shirt opened slightly, revealing a small patch of skin below her collarbone that shone with a pale white sheen.

The full silhouette of her chest rose and fell gently with her breath beneath the silk fabric. With each inhale, the fabric stretched slightly, and with each exhale, it relaxed.

As I reached for the teacup, my arm moved along with my shoulder, the fabric of my shirt slid against my skin, and the curve of my chest swayed slightly.

The amplitude was very small, but Wang Qingchen saw it.

This made his Adam's apple bob involuntarily a few times.

He's been lusting after this aloof female teacher for quite some time now.
