Sherlock Holmes is not a warp god.

Chapter 55 Mycroft and Yuri

Central Government Office.

Fren could leisurely transform into a little green man, sipping afternoon tea by the lake and basking in the beautiful sunshine. But Mycroft couldn't; he had to work on weekends too.

"This is a document faxed from the Security Bureau."

An unnamed, beautiful secretary handed a document to Mycroft.

Mycroft stretched his hips. He didn't pursue strength, but he did possess some extraordinary abilities. Sitting in the office all day, he wasn't worried about hemorrhoids. However, he had gained 1.21 kilograms compared to two weeks ago.

This weight is still within an acceptable range.

Open this document, and you'll find records of ordinary people and extraordinary individuals who were manipulated by Moriarty.

Without exception, they were all arrested.

Moriarty preferred to admire his work from behind the scenes, so he didn't have many high-profile subordinates.

These individuals did not cause any serious negative social impact, so they did not need to be publicly executed. Following normal procedures, everyone will receive the outcome they deserve.

Aside from Sherlock Holmes, Moriarty disliked playing a nurturing game with anyone else. The only reason these people were usable to Moriarty was because they were convenient enough and were "excellent" villains in themselves.

Mycroft's gaze swept across the names at a steady pace, pausing briefly on the last one.

They were not criminals, but rather employees of the security bureau.

Every document from the Security Bureau must bear the name of the person in charge.

The person in charge of this document was "Yuri Blair".

Half of the criminals listed in this document were arrested by Yuri Blair himself.

"A good young man," Mycroft nodded.

Mycroft's brain does not have "forgetting"; he clearly remembers the young man's information.

18 years old, a junior in college, graduating next year, and started an internship at the security bureau ahead of schedule.

Even before officially assuming his post, his achievements were already enough to qualify him as a sergeant first class; with this list added, he's a shoo-in for second lieutenant. A second lieutenant of this age has a very promising future.

As for lifestyle...

Having lost both parents at a young age, Yuri Blair had only one older sister to rely on, whom he considered his entire life. During his pre-employment screening interview, the word "sister" appeared at least once in every sentence on average.

"My sister has taken care of me for over a decade, and I will be responsible for her life from now on. This is the country where my sister lives, and I want to make sure she lives in a comfortable place. Anyone who disrupts the peace is my enemy."

These are Yuri's exact words.

Of course, Yuri's sister Joel Blair occupies more storage space in Mycroft's memory.

Two days ago, through some coincidence, Mycroft informed Yuri that Joel had become a target of an organization. The young man immediately displayed astonishing efficiency, remaining energetic even after several days without sleep, and after capturing one target, he immediately headed to the next.

In Mycroft's eyes, he was indeed a very good young man.

This unwavering dedication to protecting his family is what made Yuri memorable to Mycroft.

Mycroft has a clear understanding of himself; he needs to project a sufficiently cold image to protect his family. Only Mycroft himself knows what he truly thinks of his family.

This new recruit in the security bureau is somewhat like him, but more candid.

Thinking of the young man's open and undisguised love for his sister in Yuri's file, Mycroft fell silent for a moment.

This is something he could never do.

After glancing at Yuri's signature at the end of the document, Mycroft thought that Yuri was somewhat like himself on a different path.

He's a bit weak, and his rank is a bit low.

Mycroft, unusually, felt a surge of hope, wanting to see Yuri rise to a higher position to protect those he cared about.

As for whether Yuri's sister needs protection... that's not important.

Mycroft put down the file and continued working.

My parents have plane tickets for tomorrow to Sloan City, where Mycroft's life will be undisturbed except for work.

Mycroft used to listen attentively to his parents' nagging concern, but he would forget it as soon as he turned his back and feel a little annoyed.

But it had become a part of his life, and he still felt somewhat uneasy about losing it.

Just then, the phone rang. Mycroft picked it up, put it to his ear, and said his name to indicate that he was answering, "Mycroft."

"Francisco," Fren's voice came from the other end of the phone, "Ripple learning successful, [Mental Perception] has been successfully inscribed with the spiritual seal. Help me expedite the materials for [Endurance Enhancement], that's the ability I'm going to learn next."

And... let's go back to Musgrave for dinner tonight.

Musgrave Estate is the same as Sherlock Holmes Estate; the former is its real name, while the latter is because its owners all shared the surname Sherlock Holmes.

After Fren finished speaking, he waited for Mycroft's reply.

"Okay." Mycroft's tone was as usual, without any change, and he simply replied.

In the vast Austonia, every document that appears on Mycroft's desk is, without exception, a major matter.

At the normal pace, it would take another six hours to finish, but then we would miss dinner.

Mycroft felt he needed to speed things up.

The secretary next to her was typing so fast her fingers were almost blurry. This didn't bother her at all; in fact, her eyes lit up slightly.

The faster pace means I might be able to leave work early today.

At 6 p.m. sharp, Mycroft drove back to the estate himself.

The large dining table was already laden with dishes, many of which Mycroft had never tried before.

Fren prepared seven dishes, more than enough for two people. The food after transmigrating had a very otherworldly feel, not at all like the sinister food from Stargazing; on the contrary, it was strangely delicious.

But it's fine to try something new occasionally, but if it's something he eats every day, Floren still prefers Chinese food.

Anyway, I'll definitely be working as a chef in the future, and my ability to cook with spiritual power is extraordinary. Since that's the case, it's natural that I need to practice my cooking skills; it's quite normal for an extraordinary chef to be able to cook.

Mycroft and Fren sat down together. He had never seen these dishes prepared before, but after tasting them carefully, he thought they tasted pretty good.

Especially some of the organs, they had no unpleasant smell at all.

So the scene at the table showed Mycroft holding a knife and fork, while Fren ate with two small sticks.

Mycroft had heard of this kind of cutlery, and now that he had seen it, he was surprised to find that it was even more efficient for certain dishes.

When their parents were not around, the Holmes brothers ate very quietly, without any unnecessary conversation.

Fren finished the last piece of intestine, feeling the spices were still lacking. Then, looking at Mycroft, he quietly asked, "Are you going to the Eden Academy graduation party on Wednesday?"
