Chapter 78 Parents Have Friends Everywhere
The last scholar Frey knew was Professor Sigmund Olsen, who could wield the elemental electromagnetic system like a lightning bolt punch—incredibly powerful.
In this world with extraordinary powers, scholars who pursue knowledge must have something to say.
The scientific and the mystical are closely related; once you delve into it to a certain extent, you'll inevitably become involved with the mystical.
No matter the field, there are only a few people at the very top. Fren thought that Professor Olsen seemed to have some knowledge of anthropology and might even know Alfred.
[Should we go to the interview room?]
Alfred extended an invitation to Fren using sign language.
Sign language is still too inconvenient, while you can speak normally in a consultation room.
Fren nodded in agreement and followed Alfred away.
There were four rooms on either side of a corridor. After Fren entered and the door closed, he felt an even deeper level of quiet.
Fren felt that the walls were not only made of excellent soundproofing material, but also that mystical methods were used to ensure that conversations here could not be eavesdropped on.
The scholar, who was slightly taller than Freun, extended his hand to the child. "Alfred Hofstadter."
"Francisco Holmes." Fren shook his hand lightly, and then the two took their seats.

Upon hearing Fren's surname, Alfred's eyes lit up slightly. "I've heard of you, and I know your parents. I used to be colleagues with Wanda Holmes."
I saw you when I was little, but you were always a boarding student, so I only met you a few times. I never imagined you'd grow so tall and strong in just a few years.
Upon hearing Alfred's words, Fren also recalled the corresponding figure from his memories.
Upon comparison, their body shapes are indeed exactly the same, but their faces look much older.
Fren has come to accept the influence of his parents; all the older generation he's met recently have some connection to them.
Professor Sigmund Olsen was like that, as was Matthew McMahon, the second-generation killer from The Garden, so it's normal for Alfred to be added to the mix.
The elderly mother was an assassin who liked to use explosions for "assassination," and her book "Combustion Dynamics" is now a textbook.
My father seems to be even more prestigious in academia.
"To be honest, I agreed to join Diogenes because of Mycroft's invitation."
With this relationship in place, Alfred's attitude towards Fren improved even more, and he said frankly, "The cultivation of [Ripple] requires time to hone; one must never be greedy for speed."
Your psionic similarity is too high; you should refrain from entering the warp to observe psionic abilities for the time being.
Judging solely from external observation and the aura emanating from the ripples, Alfred knew that Fren's psionic similarity exceeded 10%.
"What kind of subspace bridge are you using?" Alfred asked.
For a Ripple cultivator's consciousness to enter the subspace, a medium is required. Items related to the subspace serve as the best bridge.
He felt that if the bridge Fren was using was not stable enough or could not accommodate enough consciousness, he could help Fren find a new bridge.
As an anthropologist, his work involves dealing primarily with artifacts that hold significant historical importance—in short, cultural relics. These relics, which are often revered and worshipped, are undoubtedly related to deities.
Given his position, acquiring suitable artifacts for use as bridges is not difficult. After all, the bridge's inherent capabilities are not important; what matters is its connection to the subspace.
"Emmm..." Fren paused, "A bridge?"
Seeing Fren's reaction, Alfrey frowned. "How did your consciousness enter the subspace?"
"Blessings," Freun said directly.
Furen didn't think it was a big deal. Blessings were so common in this world that almost everyone with some ability had one, or even more than one.
Of course, a creature with four blessings, like Twilight, is extremely rare.
"Using Blessing as a medium?" Alfred chuckled in exasperation. He knew why Fren, at such a young age, possessed such a high level of psionic similarity. "Didn't the person who gave you the [Ripple] training method tell you how to choose a medium?"
Fren remained silent, quietly observing Alfred before him. The wavy single page pinned to the *Nature's Secrets* discussed what could be used as a medium and recommended objects connected to the warp as such. However, due to space limitations, it didn't elaborate on the differences.
Alfred sighed. "That's the downside of being outside the academy. If you were to encounter Ripple in a university, there would be extremely detailed books available for you to read."
After he finished speaking, Alfred introduced part of the story to Fren.
If we focus on the use of blessing as a medium, although it is extremely efficient, consciousness adrift in the subspace is too easily influenced.
As a benevolent father who bestows blessings, it is easy for greed to cause one to lose focus in the warp.
"Such a high level of psionic similarity indicates that your mind is very stable. But people get tired. When you feel sleepy, you must wait a few weeks to fully recover before entering the warp again." Alfred gave very objective advice. In his opinion, Furen should have been practicing Ripple for several years. Ripple is common because it is safe.
In the training of Ripple, even if one is briefly lost in the subspace, consciousness will return to the body due to unconsciousness, and there will be no danger to life.
How many weeks will it take to enter subspace?
It took Furen less than two weeks to cultivate the Ripple, but there was no need to point that out. Furen simply nodded to indicate that he understood.
Fren's expression, devoid of any emotion, made Alfred slowly exhale, and he thought of his children again.
The reason I called this boy into the talking room was to discuss this point.
However, he suddenly felt that he should talk to Timothy and Wanda.
If Francessoko, being adopted, could be raised to be like this, the Holmes family must have had unique educational methods.
This is not a good thing. Alfred has already experienced the drawbacks of having a child with such a personality grow up.
He plans to have a good talk with Wanda in the near future.
Alfred then spoke with Fren about some basic mystical knowledge and advised him not to engage in mystical practices before attending university. He then led Fren out of the room and hurriedly left Diogenes.
Fren had no idea what Alfred was imagining; he was simply using a "program" to prevent anyone from observing his true thoughts.
After leaving the interview room and returning to my original spot, I basked in the sun for two hours before Mycroft finally arrived.
"The ceremony is ready, and we can begin tonight." Mycroft got straight to the point, instructing Fren to inscribe the [Endurance Enhancement] spiritual seal tonight.
