Sherlock Holmes is not a warp god.

Chapter 79 The officer wouldn't, but the older brother would.

"Waiting is the most pointless thing. Remember to give accurate time next time."

Fren harbored resentment over having waited for hours in vain.

How wonderful it would be to spend this time soaking in the lake.

"I'm trying my best," Mycroft said. "Being with those people is a waste of my time too, but I have to waste that time. Do you think I enjoy watching those baboons play with knot counting?"

It's still early, let's grab something to eat first.

,

Fren nodded in agreement. He had sunbathed enough, but his stomach was still empty. Eating something would help lift his spirits.

Dinner was exquisite; officials of the central government wouldn't skimp on themselves. Mycroft, of course, enjoyed the finest of the finest.

The food in this world is just as good as in his previous life, and Floren was very satisfied with his meal.

Once the food was served, the space was left for Mycroft and Fren to chat.

Mycroft used this time to talk to Fren about the mission, asking, "Have you decided what kind of power you want?"

"What are your thoughts?" Fren considered himself fairly intelligent, but in terms of combining information and reasoning, he was still inferior to Mycroft and Sherlock.

For matters related to politics like this, of course, one should consult Mycroft's opinion.

"Whatever you want." Mycroft took a sip of his Porto with elegance, glanced at Fren, and then said, "I can offer you all the support you need except help."

Furen was taken aback and said speechlessly, "Do you think you are speaking human language?"

"You're aware of the sensitivity of this mission," Mycroft said calmly. "If any information is leaked, it will be entirely your personal action and has nothing to do with this country. If necessary, Ostonia will take legal action against you."

"Besides that..." Mycroft paused, then continued, "but until then, everything you do will be in this country's blind spot."

Fren understood that as long as he didn't cause any major upheaval, he could act with impunity in this country.

"In that case..." Furen looked up at the leader of the Communist Party and said, "Let's also tell the Western countries. They have no reason to stand aside."

""

"These organizations are extremely large, and the amount of work I can handle by myself within a fixed time is limited. Therefore, I will select suitable people within the Eastern Kingdom to serve as my assistants, including agents, spies, and intelligence personnel from the Western Kingdom within the Eastern Kingdom."

"I will make my own arrangements regarding the use of personnel."

"Are you sure?" Mycroft doubted his brother's ability to manipulate people. "These people are like soldiers," he thought, having spent their lives fighting between the East and the West. Letting them know the truth could very well lead to things spiraling out of control.

,

"I understand." Fren didn't explain further.

"Okay, I will communicate with the Secretary General of the West." Mycroft chose to trust Fren, just as he had in the past.

He didn't ask Fren if he needed intelligence about Western agents; since Fren said so, it meant there was already a contingency plan.

After thinking for a moment, Fren decided to take a multi-pronged approach. "It's a bit troublesome for me to call Slen City. You can tell Sherlock to go to the Phrygians region and deal with Colonel Sned."

"Hmm?" Mycroft didn't know why Fren had brought up this person.

Colonel Sneijder was an Air Force officer and a member of the pro-war Unity Party. He usually followed the orders of Donovan Desmond.

Mycroft and Donovan had a tacit understanding and rarely interfered with each other's subordinates.

"He has connections with the Republic of Alpo and is plotting something similar to the Ruben incident a decade ago, to reignite a real East-West war." Fren didn't hide anything from Mycroft, revealing the intelligence he knew. "The Republic of Alpo and the United States of Scania don't have a direct cooperative relationship, but neither wants to see the relationship between the East and West remain so peaceful."

"Republic... Ha..." Furen gave a cold sneer. This country's behavior was nothing short of stirring up trouble.

"I'll have Sherlock handle it." Mycroft nodded, noting the matter down.

After they had eaten and drunk their fill, Mycroft gave Fren an address and told him to go there himself. The ceremonial materials prepared for Fren were stored there.

Mycroft then got up and left. As he was about to open the door, he turned to Fren and said, "The central government will not provide direct support, but Mycroft will always choose to help his brother."

Fren slowed his chewing pace slightly, and after the door closed, he finished the food on his plate before getting up to leave.

"Thanks.

""

As Fren left, his gentle voice faded into the room.

After leaving the central government building, Furen arrived at an empty warehouse based on the address.

The most eye-catching one is a huge creature.

It was a giraffe, one of the materials used in the endurance-enhancing ritual, but it was a bit old.

Fren estimated that even if the giraffe didn't die because of him, it wouldn't live much longer.

Every object in the world possesses its own spirit, but the spirit of living things is the most changeable. The spirits of different ages and different body parts are different, and these spirits can be combined and separated.

For example, the spirituality of a young giraffe is different from that of an old giraffe.

A heart that has lived for nearly thirty years accumulates its own spirituality with each beat, making it the best material for engraving a seal.

The fish were still swimming around lively in the high-pressure water chamber, while an ugly vulture, like the giraffe, was old and frail.

After Fren entered, all the transport personnel left one after another.

The [Endurance Enhancement] ritual also has a time requirement; it must begin when dawn is just breaking and the moon is still bright.

Sitting in this warehouse, Furen continued to cultivate his Ripple technique.

Mr. Alfred Hofstadter's words made a lot of sense; they were words of advice tinged with the concern of an elder. Unfortunately, they were of little use to Fren, as entering and exiting the warp was effortless for him.

When the sky turned a dark blue, without a clock, Fren opened his eyes precisely on time.

Looking into the giraffe's somewhat cloudy eyes, Furen's hand, wreathed in ripples, shattered its central nervous system. He then disemboweled it and removed its heart.

The bald men from the plateau and the fish from the deep sea suffered no pain as Fren extracted their lungs and blood.

With three sets of materials, Furen appeared on time in the open space outside the warehouse. As dawn broke, he manipulated his flesh and blood to connect the three sets of materials together.

A triangle of flesh and blood, centered on Fren, began to gather spirituality.
