Xiao Jin grabbed Fu Yuzhou and ran outside.

Fu Yuzhou was being pulled along by her, staggering, but his two little legs moved very quickly.

As soon as the two rushed out of the tin shack, several men playing cards outside heard the commotion and stood up.

A tall man reacted first, shouting "Run!" and chasing after them. Xiao Jin didn't dodge, but rushed forward and kicked the man's toes again.

The tall man let out a heart-wrenching howl, hugged his feet, jumped twice on the spot, and then sat down on the ground with a thud.

Two people followed behind, and Xiao Jin did the same thing, stepping on her toes with precision each time.

"I'll stomp, stomp, stomp!" Xiao Jin said excitedly.

The men were jumping around in the yard, clutching their feet, their cries of pain rising and falling, making it even more lively than slaughtering a pig during the Lunar New Year.

Xiao Jin grabbed Fu Yuzhou and rushed out of the factory gate amidst the chaos.

Outside was a wasteland with a few crooked trees, and beyond that was the dark foot of the mountain.

Without hesitation, Xiao Jin pulled Fu Yuzhou and plunged into the bushes at the foot of the mountain.

When Brother Biao came out of the house after hearing the commotion, the yard was already in chaos.

Several of his men sat on the ground clutching their feet, their faces covered in sweat, in so much pain they could barely speak.

After learning what had happened, Brother Biao was so angry that the old scar on his face turned red: "How much strength can a child have? You grown men can't even get up after a four-year-old stepped on your foot?"

"Brother Biao, it really hurts!" Zhao Qiang clutched his foot, wincing in pain. "It feels like that girl has stones tied to her foot!"

Brother Biao cursed a couple of times, then kicked Zhao Qiang in the butt: "Hurry up and chase after them! How far can two kids run? It's better if they run into the mountains; the mountains aren't that big. Find them before dawn!"

The group had no choice but to endure the pain and limp towards the foot of the mountain.

In the mountains and forests, Xiao Jin led Fu Yuzhou through the bushes and pebbles.

She was small, but she ran as nimbly as a little animal, turning left and right, always choosing to go where tree roots were intertwined and rocks were jagged.

Fu Yuzhou followed behind, falling several times and scraping his knees and palms, but he didn't cry out in pain or shed a tear. He just gritted his teeth and kept going.

As Xiao Jin ran, she kept looking back at him. Seeing that he was having trouble keeping up, she slowed down a little and stretched out a hand: "Zhouzhou, hold Xiao Jin's hand."

Fu Yuzhou grabbed her hand.

Xiao Jin's hands were soft and warm. When he held them, he felt that the knot in his heart that had been pressing on his chest loosen a little.

The two ran into a denser forest, where the tree canopy blocked out the moonlight, and it was so dark that they could hardly see the path.

Xiao Jin, however, seemed to know the way and led him around and around until they finally squeezed into a crevice hidden by withered vines and rocks.

Behind the crevice was a small cave about half a person's height, with a narrow entrance but a more spacious interior than one might imagine.

Xiao Jin pulled Fu Yuzhou inside, then used the withered branches and vines nearby to loosely cover the entrance.

The two leaned against the cave wall, catching their breath for a while.

Fu Yuzhou's hands were still trembling, but his voice was a little steadyer than before: "Xiao Jin, what if they find this place?"

"No, they won't," Xiao Jin said. "I've checked, the mountain terrain here is winding, they can't catch up."

As she spoke, she rummaged through her small pocket and pulled out a bag of flattened biscuits, tore it open, and gave half to Fu Yuzhou. "Are you hungry? Xiao Jin has more biscuits."

Fu Yuzhou took the half-eaten cookie, took a small bite, and tears suddenly streamed down his face.

He ate a biscuit while crying, his sobs were silent, only tears falling down his face.

Xiao Jin looked at him, neither laughing at him nor saying "Don't cry".

She simply moved closer to him, rested her head on his shoulder, and whispered, "Zhouzhou, don't be afraid, Xiaojin is here."

"Just think of this as an adventure for us!"

Fu Yuzhou sniffled, wiped away his tears, looked into Xiao Jin's clear, smiling eyes, and nodded emphatically, "Mm!"

Meanwhile, in downtown Beijing, the news spread faster than the wind.

After Yun Ziang came out of the museum's monitoring room, he seemed completely lost.

After calling Yun Ziqian, he called Yun Mingyuan and Yun Mingyi. Yun Mingyuan immediately canceled all his plans, and Yun Mingyi also rushed back from the company.

Yun Zhengbang was kept in the dark, but he could only keep it a secret for a while.

Less than two hours later, even Kong Zheng called, saying that he had heard that Xiao Jin had an accident and that he and his master were on their way.

The Fu family was also in an uproar.

When Fu Zongxu called back to the old house, the old man was sitting in his study drinking tea.

After finishing the phone call, the old man slammed his teacup heavily on the table, splashing tea everywhere. "Who gave this scoundrel the audacity to kidnap my great-grandson?!"

Both families mobilized their forces simultaneously.

Yun Mingyuan mobilized all his connections, while Fu Zongxu had all the surveillance footage in the city reviewed.

For nearly four hours, they followed the trail of the silver van all the way to the black Passat with the changed license plates, and from the Passat they traced it to the abandoned factory in the suburbs.

Yun Zi'ang followed Yun Ziqian's car and was the first to rush into the factory gate.

Fu Zongxu followed closely behind.

The kidnappers in the factory were still applying safflower oil to their feet, and the yard was filled with a pungent medicinal smell.

Brother Biao was sitting at the door smoking when he saw a group of people suddenly rush in. The leader was a young man with a livid face and a man with a sullen expression. Behind them were more than a dozen men in black suits. He almost dropped the cigarette in his mouth.

"Who are you looking for?" Brother Biao stood up, his hand unconsciously reaching behind him.

Yun Ziqian didn't waste any words with him, and kicked over the chair in front of him: "Where's the child?"

Brother Biao still wanted to be stubborn, but when he saw the posture of the people behind Yun Ziang and Fu Zongxu's completely cold face, his confidence instantly dissipated.

Upon seeing this scene, he immediately spilled the beans:

"It was Sang Jiamei! It was Sang Jiamei from the second branch of the Fu family who made us do it! She said she wanted to kidnap Fu Zongxu's son, and we don't know how we ended up with a little girl... That little girl came along on her own."

Fu Zongxu's face darkened completely when he heard the name "Sang Jiamei".

He closed his eyes briefly, and when he opened them again, his eyes were filled with cold indifference.

He took out his phone, dialed the number for the old house, and said only one sentence: "Bring Second Aunt to the factory. Now."

Sang Jiamei was escorted here by the Fu family's bodyguards. When she got out of the car, she still maintained an unyielding posture, but her face gradually turned pale when she saw Fu Zongxu standing at the factory gate, surrounded by people from the Yun and Fu families.

Grandpa Fu also came. He walked silently, leaning on his cane.

When Sang Jiamei was brought before him, the old man raised his cane, pointed it at her nose, and said in a low but heavy voice, "Foolish! You're foolish! You actually colluded with outsiders to kidnap your own child in the Fu family's affairs?"

Sang Jiamei knelt on the ground, her hair disheveled, her makeup ruined, and her face covered in tears.

She no longer maintained her composure; her voice was shrill and trembling.

"Me, confused? When my son's leg was broken in Italy, who thought about me? Fu Zongxu sold him out! To please that woman, he pushed my son into a fire pit! Yu Heng is my only son!"

Fu Zongxu stood to the side, his face expressionless.

After Sang Jiamei finished crying and shouting, he slowly spoke: "Second Aunt, I know everything about Yu Heng in Italy. I also know exactly how his leg was broken."

"If that's what you're here for today, I can tell you—he fell down the stairs himself. Fura didn't lay a finger on him. The Martino family wants cooperation, not his life."

Sang Jiamei was stunned.

She stared blankly at Fu Zongxu, her lips moving as if she couldn't believe it.

Yun Ziang stood to the side the whole time, his fists clenched so tightly that his nails dug into his flesh.

He finally couldn't hold back any longer. He stepped forward, his voice urgent and hoarse: "Your family matters are your own business to discuss back home! Where is my great-aunt? Where is my great-aunt?"

Brother Biao huddled in the corner, terrified by the scene. He swallowed hard, his voice dry, "They...the two kids ran away on their own...running into the mountains..."

"In the mountains?" Yun Zi'ang's voice suddenly rose.

Brother Biao shrank back: "It's that mountain behind the factory. They've been there for a while now..."

Yun Ziang suddenly turned his head to look at the dark mountain shadows behind the factory.

By this time, it was already getting dark. After the sun had set, the outline of the mountain ridge resembled a row of silent teeth, swallowing up the last bit of the afterglow.

The wind from the mountain blew down from above, making the corrugated iron sheets in the yard rattle.

Yun Zi'ang's face turned pale instantly.

Yun Ziqian's expression also changed.

Two three- or four-year-old children were in such a terrifying, desolate mountain where danger lurked at every turn.

Fu Zongxu walked to Old Master Fu's side and whispered, "Dad, we have to search the mountain immediately."

Grandpa Fu leaned on his cane, closed his eyes briefly, and said, "Both families should search together. Send as many people as you can."

Yun Mingyuan was already on the phone.

Yun Ziqian asked the people accompanying him to go to the car to get the emergency lights and ropes.

Yun Ziang stood in the center of the courtyard, gazing at the mountain. His lips trembled a few times before he suddenly turned and ran towards the car.

He opened the car door and pulled out a first-aid kit and a thick coat, as if he were searching the mountains with the troops.

Kong Zheng and Kong Ji arrived at this time.

Kong Ji glanced around the courtyard, said something to Kong Zheng, and then Kong Zheng quickly walked up to Yun Ziqian:

"My master said that the mountain has a heavy yin energy, and it is especially dangerous at night. He told us to split into two groups, one to search along the main road at the foot of the mountain, and the other to go around to the side and block the mountain pass."

Yun Ziqian nodded and immediately made the assignments.

Fu Zongxu also called for reinforcements. In less than half an hour, nearly a hundred people had gathered in the open space outside the factory.

Yun Zi'ang followed the first group of people into the mountains.

The wind in the mountains was colder than outside. The shadows of the trees swayed, and the beam of the flashlight flickered, illuminating patches of jagged pebbles and withered vines.

Yun Zi'ang walked and called out, his voice quickly becoming hoarse: "Xiao Jin! Little Aunt! Where are you—"

The wind carried his voice away, scattering it into the dark, gloomy forest.

He wiped his face, unable to tell if it was sweat or tears, and then continued walking inside.

But back in the mountains, the two little ones were even more relaxed than the adults.

Fu Yuzhou held Xiao Jin's hand, and the two walked through the woods as if on a spring outing.

Fu Yuzhou squatted down, grabbed a small white mushroom, and plucked it off. He showed it to Xiao Jin, saying, "I read in the encyclopedia that this mushroom is not poisonous and we can eat it."

"We can pick more and eat them on our way back."

Fu Yuzhou's little face was full of seriousness as he stuffed the food into Xiao Jin's hand, saying, "You eat first, I'm not hungry."

Xiao Jin looked at the plump little mushroom and exclaimed, "Wow! We've found something to eat!"

She pinched the mushroom, which looked huge in her small hand.

Fu Yuzhou gained some confidence, "I know a lot of plants, I won't let you go hungry."

As he spoke, he pulled Xiao Jin up the mountain.

Suddenly, a faint buzzing sound came from above.

Xiao Jin looked up and saw dark shadows flying past overhead.

She tilted her head and asked curiously, "What kind of bird is that?"

Fu Yuzhou stared intently for a moment, then his eyes widened suddenly, and he exclaimed excitedly, "That's a drone! My dad's come looking for us!!"
