Shipborne Special Forces.

Lost in thought, Wang Aiguo fell asleep. He was truly exhausted after a day like this. For a 220-pound man to be pushed to his limits like this was definitely beyond his capabilities.

Meanwhile, Wang Jianshe, sitting inside the S City Public Security Building, answered his phone.

"Hey Jianshe, are you busy lately?"

A weathered yet powerful voice came from the phone.

Upon hearing the voice, Wang Jianshe perked up and quickly said, "Dad, I'm not busy. I've already seen that rascal Aiguo off, and my biggest worry is over. I've been in a great mood lately."

On the other end of the phone was Wang Jianshe's father, who was also Wang Aiguo's grandfather—Wang Weihua.

Wang Weihua, on the other end of the phone, said excitedly, "I'll be on vacation soon too. Since Aiguo isn't here, how about our whole family goes on a trip?"

"Great idea, that's a fantastic idea. We haven't gone on a trip in ages," Wang Jianshe exclaimed.

If Wang Aiguo were to hear these words right now, he would surely die of anger on the spot. When he was at home, everyone looked at him with a terrible expression. Forget about traveling; even for a family meal, the whole family would rather eat at a temple.

Now that he's gone, his father and grandfather have started discussing whether to go on a trip. If he finds out, he might go looking for his "biological parents."

Wang Jianshe and Wang Weihua discussed this on the phone for a while, the topics being nothing more than, "Finally, we got that pig out of there." "I wonder how many pounds that pig will lose in the army." "What a waste of his intelligence." "Exactly! Is high intelligence just for slacking off?"

After discussing for a while, Wang Jianshe suddenly thought of something, his expression changed, and he said, "Wait a minute, Dad, I suddenly remembered something. Um... given his condition, won't he be forced to retreat?"

"It can't be that bad, didn't you say he was already 180 pounds before joining the army?"

"Yes, but he gained back up to 220 pounds a month later."

"Wait a minute, let me sort this out. What do you mean? Are you saying he gained a full forty pounds in the month after his physical exam?"

Wang Weihua on the other end of the phone felt completely distraught. This was something even a pig wouldn't produce.

Wang Jianshe said somewhat awkwardly, "I underestimated him. In July, because I was busy with work and he had passed his physical examination, I didn't keep an eye on him. Who knew he would go to a buffet every day and gain more than a pound a day? The buffet restaurant must have gone out of business."

"Oh my god, I'd better go and give the order. If this were after I was assigned to a company, it wouldn't be a problem, but I'm in the recruit camp now. If I exceed the physical exam by too much, I might actually be discharged."

After talking for a while, the father and son realized that this was very likely the truth. After thinking for a moment, Wang Weihua quickly hung up the phone and then picked up the landline in his office to make a call.

"Is this the General Staff? This is Wang Weihua. Help me look up a new recruit, a college student soldier in the Navy this year. He should be in the recruit camp now. His name is Wang Aiguo."

.......

At the Chenyang recruit camp, while the recruits were taking their afternoon nap, the battalion commander looked at a stack of documents in his hand with a strange expression.

These documents are all from new recruits who had just undergone physical examinations and had problems with their results. The one on top is Wang Aiguo's document.

Looking at Wang Aiguo's medical examination form, the captain thought for a moment and finally decided to pick up the phone.

"Hey Lao Bi, come to the brigade headquarters for a bit, yes, my room."

A few minutes later, Grandpa Bi, looking travel-worn, rushed to the brigade leader's room.

Upon entering, Grandpa Bi's expression changed slightly as he looked at the stern-faced brigade leader, and his heart skipped a beat.

"Captain, what's the matter?"

"Don't be nervous, Captain Bi. It's nothing serious. It's just that there are a few new recruits in your 12th squad who have some issues during the physical examination today. So I wanted to ask for your opinion."

"Oh, which ones are they?" Grandpa Bi was relieved. He had thought he had gotten into trouble.

The captain's expression changed, and then he took out Wang Aiguo's medical examination form: "The others are fine, being 10 or 20 pounds overweight isn't a big problem. But this one... he's 40 pounds overweight, that's a bit too much."

Upon receiving Wang Aiguo's medical examination form, Grandpa Bi's expression became quite interesting. Of all the recruits in Team 12, Wang Aiguo was the one he knew best. Not only was he overweight, but he was also notorious for causing trouble. Most importantly, this troublemaker was extremely aggressive.

After all, his instructor from Team 12 is still in the hospital.

"I looked at his previous physical examination form. He was 180 cm tall before he came to the army. It's only been 45 days since the physical examination, and he has gained 40 catties."

"I asked him about this. His family starved him for several months so he could join the army, so it's normal for him to rebound suddenly due to overeating," Grandpa Bi explained.

The captain looked at Grandpa Bi with a strange expression and said, "Are there really people like this in this world?"

"I think there should be," Grandpa Bi said somewhat awkwardly.

He was a little shocked by Wang Aiguo's appetite. Just a few days ago, because he was happy to win the competition, he specially asked the cooking team to order a lot of rice that day.

On that very day, he witnessed Wang Aiguo eat half a box of rice by himself, along with a whole night's worth of braised pork, leaving not a drop of soup. He looked like he was truly starving.

Seeing Grandpa Bi's embarrassed expression, the battalion commander shrugged and said, "Alright, since that's the case, I won't say anything more. I called you here today to ask you, this Wang Aiguo's weight is indeed below the limit, seriously exceeding the limit. Do you still want to keep him? If not, I can arrange for him to withdraw from the army."

The captain's words stunned Grandpa Bi.

Honestly, it would be much easier for Wang Aiguo if he were discharged. Whether it's his average time in the 3000 meters or the neatness of the formation, Wang Aiguo's performance would negatively impact the overall team.

But after spending these few days together, Grandpa Bi felt that Wang Aiguo was a hard-working person, and it would be a pity to give up on him like this.

After thinking for a moment, Grandpa Bi said, "To be honest, I didn't really want this soldier. But since he's joined my 12th team, he's my soldier, Bi Gangtian's soldier. Our unit never gives up on anyone. If he's not qualified, I'll make him qualified. The People's Liberation Army Navy has never given up on anyone before. And in the past two weeks, I've seen that he's been working very hard. His physical condition isn't particularly good; he can't run very fast, but he insists on jogging 3,000 meters every morning at 5:30, and he also takes the initiative to take on heavy work. So as long as he's willing to work hard, I believe he will definitely become a qualified naval soldier."
