I became a farmer in the apocalypse.

Ji Hong explained the situation to Jiang Li.

"I didn't receive any points, but instead, something that looked like a gold coin fell out."

Jiang Li took it and saw that it was currency from the system store.

The system sent a notification:

[Recycling Machine No. 1 found a treasure in the trash: a giant bamboo shoot (102 catties)! Such a large shoot is truly rare! It has been sent to the giant botanical exhibition hall for public viewing, and the earned Star Coins have been automatically converted into 1 Gold Coin.]

Jiang Li: "?"

A giant plant exhibition hall—it can't be an exhibition hall in this world, right? People in that world must be very rich in spirit to be able to display giant plants. But in the world she's in now, most people are still struggling to make ends meet. No one would find these giant plants novel, because they are very common.

The two were still worried.

"Boss Jiang, are you not going to buy this big bamboo shoot? Should we not have dug up such a big one? Will we not get any points for it?"

Jiang Li: "Who said I'm not accepting them anymore? Give me the gold coins you get later, and I'll exchange them for you at a ratio of 1:1000."

As he spoke, he transferred 1000 points to the two people.

"One thousand points have been credited to your account."

The two were completely stunned.

"1000 points?"

I can't believe it! I earned 1000 points from just one bamboo shoot!

The two were overjoyed, beaming from ear to ear. "Thank you! Thank you, Boss Jiang!"

This feels like winning the lottery!

People around him eagerly asked, "Farmer Jiang, if I dig up a really big mutated crop in the future, can I exchange it for points with gold coins?"

Jiang Li nodded, "Yes, you're welcome to collect more large pieces of trash; large pieces of trash are more valuable."

"That's great!" the crowd cheered.

"We'll look for more of these big bamboo shoots in the future; there are definitely more in that forest!"

Some people couldn't wait and ran straight into the forest without resting, wanting to find the giant bamboo shoots and earn a lot of points.

For Jiang Li, gold coins are more valuable than points. Points are the world currency and can be obtained infinitely from the world's residents, but gold coins can currently only be obtained through system tasks, and the amount that can be obtained each day is limited.

Moreover, since the system shop opened, the system no longer rewards her with 100% anti-mutation seeds. If she wants seeds, she can only buy them with gold coins or dig them up from the ground. It takes an hour to dig up one gold coin.

Jiang Li returned to the field and continued digging for gold.

Most of the people who came to deliver the garbage stayed on the farm to rest and voluntarily came to Jiang Tang's stall to buy soy milk.

Soy milk has gone up in price today, now it's 15 points a cup, but it's still cheaper than in the safe zone.

Everyone was satisfied as they drank the soy milk.

"It feels so good to earn points like this. I would never have bought soy milk before, but I bought two cups of soy milk today."

"Yes, picking up trash is great. I enjoy it. Thanks to Boss Jiang for taking our trash. She's such a good person."

Grandma Li glanced at the soy milk on the stall and thought she would bring a cup back for her grandson.

If she earns another set of points in the afternoon, she wants to buy some rice from the local shop to take home.

Some people couldn't resist going to admire the cabbages and pumpkins in the farm's fields.

"The crops in Boss Jiang's field are growing really well."

"Exactly! Look how beautiful these cabbages are! So tender and juicy, and this pumpkin looks like it was 3D printed! It's so big, one must weigh at least twenty pounds, right? It'll definitely sell for a lot of money."

"It's a pity I don't have any money, otherwise I would like to buy a small piece of pumpkin to try."

"..."

To judge whether a farmer is qualified, look at whether he treats each crop with care. Congratulations, your sincerity has been seen! The crops in your field are in perfect condition! You have won praise from people all over the world!

Jiang Li straightened up, supporting herself with the hoe, and gazed into the void, waiting quietly.

This is usually when you should give her a reward.

I waited for a full minute, but nothing happened.

Jiang Li: "?"

No, you've rambled on and on, but aren't you going to give me any real rewards? What's the point of all this?

A moment of silence...

Okay, it really didn't plan to release it.

Jiang Li remained silent and continued to bend over and hoe the ground.

……

Qiao Wu got off at bus stop number 13.

Close your eyes, and you'll see that huge plant not far away, very close to here.

Qiao Wu carried her bag and walked straight in that direction until she arrived at a farm.

The farm gate was open, and a sign was hanging on it.

Waste recycling

[Grain Sales]

She was certain that the giant ball of light was on this farm.

Just then, someone came out, and she quickly went up to them. "Excuse me, is this farm open to the public? May I go in?"

Lin An glanced at her. "What are you here for? To sell trash or to buy food?"

Qiao Wu: "I'm here to find a plant."

Lin An frowned. "How did you end up here looking for a plant? Is the plant you're looking for here? What plant are you looking for? Tell me."

Qiao Wu: "I can't explain it... I can't see what it looks like, but it's roughly a sphere."

Lin An didn't quite understand what this person was talking about, but she wouldn't let someone of unknown origin in casually.

"You can leave now; you won't find what you're looking for here."

Hearing this, Qiao Wu felt somewhat disheartened. She couldn't help but look inside the farm through the gate. For some reason, the commotion and noise disappeared once she arrived. Closing her eyes, the green light in the online image softened, no longer giving her the feeling of unease she once had. Instead, she felt an unprecedented calm.

It seems the problem really is in this farm, otherwise why would that feeling disappear as soon as she arrived?

Qiao Wu had no choice but to show Lin An her identity card. "This is my resident identity card. You can take a look. My identity is that of a superhuman, wood-type."

After registering at the military and government building, the people there immediately issued her a new resident identity card, which clearly indicated her new identity: a superhuman.

In some situations, the identities of evolved beings and superhumans can be very useful.

Lin An's expression indeed froze for a moment. "A wood-type ability user?"

Isn't that the person Lu Mingjue mentioned this morning?

I never expected that I would run into someone here when I was just hearing Lu Mingjue talk about this this morning.

Lin An looked at her with disbelief. "You said you were looking for a plant. Is that related to your special ability?"

Qiao Wu nodded.

Lin An led Qiao Wu inside. "Come in. I'll keep your ID card for now, and I'll return it to you when you leave."

Qiao Wu followed Lin An into the farm, and couldn't help but look around at the farm with curiosity.

Lin An led Qiao Wu to the front of the field. "Basically all the plants on the farm are in this field. What kind of plant are you looking for? See if you can find what you're looking for here."

Qiao Wu spotted the large pumpkin immediately. She could tell, "This is an unmutated pumpkin! How was it grown?"

Lin An thought this was the pumpkin she was looking for. "Is this the plant you're looking for? If you want it, it'll probably cost you a lot of money. This pumpkin is very expensive; you'll need at least two thousand points to buy it. But you'll have to ask the farmer here for the exact price."

Qiao Wu shook her head. "No, I didn't come to buy pumpkins."

She looked at the vegetable garden. "The plant I'm looking for is in the vegetable garden."
