Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard

Chapter 317 Time Converter

Chapter 317 Time Converter Acquired (Second Update)

Just as all the young wizards entered the gates of Hogwarts, including the first-year students who were led into the castle by Hagrid and taken by Professor McGonagall to the waiting room next to the Great Hall.

A young figure dressed in a wizard's robe appeared out of thin air on a dark path not far from the gate.

"So this is time magic? How interesting!"

The young figure held a gold necklace with a small hourglass hanging from it, a thoughtful expression on his face.

Immediately afterwards, he put away the small hourglass, pointed a finger, and softly chanted a spell:

"Protect the Gods!"

He easily summoned a humanoid guardian spirit, which looked just like a real person, to his front.

"Too conspicuous, block it! Shadow!"

The young figure looked at the glowing guardian and cast a spell again. First, he shielded the magical fluctuations emanating from the guardian, and then he had the shadow cast by the guardian surround him, leaving only two glowing fists exposed.

At this moment, the two Dementors guarding the gate seemed to have sensed something and floated up and flew towards the path where the young figure was.

Before they could even fly over, two glowing fists came hurtling towards their faces.

"Bang, bang!"

The two Dementors were blasted from the sky and crashed to the ground by the powerful force.

The special restraining force on the fist caused the two Dementors to let out a sharp, painful howl.

However, before they could scream, a faint incantation rang out in the air: "Silence!"

And so, the Dementor's scream vanished before it could even be heard.

After a fierce beating, Jerry stepped forward and placed a contract magic circle on the two dying Dementors.

"Alright, go and bring the rest of the Dementors over, two at a time!"

After the contract was successfully signed, the young figure gave an order to the two Dementors who had made the contract. The two Dementors immediately nodded obediently and flew towards the other Dementors guarding the castle.

Two hours later.

"That's about enough. 'I'll' be coming out soon. Let's hide somewhere else!"

After all the Dementors near the castle had been contracted, the young figure rubbed his throbbing head, activated the Disappearance Charm, and vanished from the spot.

"I've contracted too many magical creatures lately, looks like I need to slow down and wait until my soul strength improves before contracting again!"

Two hours ago, inside the castle.

The college division ceremony and opening banquet were largely unchanged, except for the arrival of another batch of new students.

If there's anything worth mentioning, it's probably the two things Dumbledore said before the banquet.

The first issue, of course, was the Dementors. Dumbledore had clearly compromised with Fudge, agreeing to allow the Dementors to be stationed at every entrance and exit of the school to prevent Sirius from breaking in.

He also solemnly warned the young wizards not to clashed with the inhuman Dementors, lest they suffer physical and mental harm.

When he gave this instruction, he specifically looked towards Gryffindor.

The second thing is that Professor Kettleburn, the teacher of the Magical Creatures class, announced his retirement, and the position of the class will be taken over by Hagrid, the gamekeeper who has regained his right to use magic.

After the opening banquet, Jerry was preparing to return to the Slytherin dormitory with Malfoy and the others when Snape called him from the lobby on the first floor.

"Jerry, come with me to the principal's office!"

Meanwhile, Hermione, who was preparing to go upstairs on the other side of the hall, was also called over by Professor McGonagall.

Seeing this, Jerry knew it was probably related to the Time-Turner. Snape promised to apply for a Time-Turner for him to help with his studies after school started, and Professor McGonagall also applied for one for Hermione.

Sure enough, led by Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape, he and Hermione arrived at the Headmaster's office and quickly received two Time-Turners.

"You are the best students I have ever seen, so Professor Snape and I specially applied for a Time-Turner from the Ministry of Magic so that you can have more time to study."

However, I must also solemnly warn you that time magic is an extremely dangerous and unstable form of magic, and that the Time Converter, if abused, will cause great disasters, not only for yourselves but also for others.

Therefore, I hope that you will remember every rule I have mentioned regarding the use of the time converter.

After handing the Time-Turner over to Jerry and Hermione, Professor McGonagall began to explain the rules for using the Time-Turner in detail.

The Time Converter is shaped like a golden necklace containing a small hourglass, inscribed with the admonition: "I mark every moment, but never surpass the sun. My value to you is measured by your purpose."

The hourglass goes backward by one hour with each rotation, up to a maximum of five hours.

It's not that we can't go back further, but if it exceeds five hours, it will have a huge impact on time and could lead to terrible consequences.

According to Professor McGonagall, if you go back more than five hours, it is highly likely that the laws of time will be disrupted, causing your past and future selves to be killed, meaning you would disappear instantly.

Even if they are lucky enough not to disappear, they may suddenly age into old age with only a few days left to live, or cause the disappearance of other people.

Therefore, the Ministry of Magic has hundreds of laws and regulations restricting the use of time-twisters.

And most importantly, when you use the time-travel zone to go back to the past, you must not meet your past self, otherwise time distortion will occur, which will lead to danger.

Actually, there's one more thing Professor McGonagall didn't mention, but Jerry knows: the Time-Turner can't change what has already happened, which is when you intend to use the Time-Turner to go back in time.

So the things you caused by going back in time have already happened.

"Professor, we've got it!"

After Professor McGonagall finished speaking, Jerry and Hermione nodded at the same time.

Professor McGonagall looked at Jerry and Hermione, a satisfied expression appearing on her serious face. Both of them were model students, especially Jerry, who was very mature, and she trusted him completely.

"I believe you, but you must also swear that you will not tell anyone else about the Time-Turner, including Harry and the others!"

After making her final promise, Professor McGonagall finally finished giving her instructions.

"Miss Granger, you should go back and rest. Jerry, please stay a little longer; we have something to ask you!"

Seeing that Professor McGonagall's business was over, Snape stepped forward and said.

Hermione glanced at Jerry with some concern, nodded, and left the headmaster's office.

The headmaster's office is on the eighth floor, and so is the Gryffindor common room. So Hermione can leave the office, walk around the castle, and return to the Gryffindor common room.
