Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard
Chapter 38 Hermione's Invitation
Chapter 38 Hermione's Invitation
The power of a spell isn't something you can unleash its full potential just by learning it.
Just like an ordinary fire spell, which Jerry can only use to light a cigarette, but Dumbledore could burn thousands of Inferi to death.
On one hand, Dumbledore's magic was much stronger than Jerry's, but more importantly, Dumbledore's understanding of fire spells was unmatched by ordinary wizards.
Quirrell didn't ask any questions during the entire Defense Against the Dark Arts class, so Jerry naturally didn't get any credits.
However, he wasn't in a hurry. His ultimate goal was to learn magic to improve his strength and gain credits to increase his reputation. He could take his time and there would be plenty of opportunities.
Over the next few days, Jerry attended classes on herbs, astronomy, spells, and transfiguration.
He would use the "energizing" function for a long time every night to quickly memorize and learn the magic book, and he would also use the "energizing" function periodically during class.
Therefore, in herbal medicine class, he was always able to accurately name each herb and describe its various properties immediately, as Professor Sprout had asked.
In astronomy, he can easily identify any star and constellation.
In Charms class, while other young wizards were still learning the theory of spells, he was already able to successfully cast the corresponding spells from the textbook. Although the power and effect were not great, he used them very skillfully.
As for the Transfiguration class, when Professor McGonagall finished her lecture and had everyone practice turning a match into a needle...
To Professor McGonagall's astonishment, Jerry completed the exercise in less than ten seconds, successfully becoming the first little wizard to turn a match into a silver needle.
It was precisely because of this that Jerry earned over twenty credits for Slytherin in just four days, initially leaving a very good impression on all the teachers.
It also gained some fame in various colleges and universities.
Unlike Hermione, Jerry, with his adult soul, makes any young wizard who takes the initiative to approach him feel that although he is very outstanding, he is not as arrogant and difficult to get along with as a typical Slytherin.
On the contrary, they are very humble and easy-going, and sometimes they will even crack a joke or two with you.
This meant that although he earned over twenty credits for Slytherin, the young wizards from the other three houses who had met him didn't feel much jealousy towards him; instead, they admired him to some extent.
Because right now, apart from Hermione, a little wizard in Gryffindor, no one earns as many credits as Jerry.
And so, Friday arrived.
Friday only has half a day of classes in the morning, which is Potions class taught by Professor Snape, the head of Slytherin. It is also the first time that Slytherin and Gryffindor have a class together.
All those previous classes were with Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff; not a single class was with Gryffindor.
The Potions class was in the basement, very close to the common room where Slater was.
Because it rarely sees sunlight, the classroom feels somewhat eerie, especially the glass jars along the walls, which contain various animal specimens.
"Hey Jerry, you're here early!"
"Hermione, you're up early too!"
Jerry has a habit of waking up early, so he finished breakfast early and arrived at the Potions classroom. He was the first little wizard to enter the classroom.
Hermione is usually the first one to enter the classroom for every class, so the two of them happened to bump into each other.
Since no one else had arrived yet, the two naturally sat together and started chatting.
Since the two were assigned to different colleges and didn't attend classes together, they didn't really have much time to chat except when they bumped into each other at meals.
The key point is that Hermione is a top student; she studies whenever she has free time.
In order to improve his strength, Jerry was also constantly absorbing various magical knowledge.
"Jerry, are you free this weekend? How about we go to the library together?"
Hermione looked at Jerry with some anticipation.
She had already memorized the first-year textbooks during the summer vacation. After asking Prefect Percy, Hermione learned that Hogwarts also had a library with many magic books to read.
So I thought I'd take advantage of Friday when I had some free time to go and check it out.
Just then, he met Jerry, who also loved reading, and invited him to go to the library together.
Jerry's eyes lit up when he heard the word "library".
These past two days he's been busy memorizing the books "The History of Magic," "A Thousand Magical Herbs and Mushrooms," and "Potions and Elixirs," and hasn't really had time to consider visiting the Hogwarts Library.
Do you know where the library is located?
"I already checked beforehand; it's on the second floor of the castle, in the far right corridor!"
Hermione replied immediately.
"Okay, then we'll head over first thing Saturday morning!"
Jerry nodded and accepted Hermione's invitation.
While Jerry and Hermione were chatting, the Slytherin and Gryffindor wizards also entered the Potions classroom one after another.
Harry and Ron sat on the other side of Hermione and joined in their conversation.
The conversation then shifted from magical knowledge to their respective amazing experiences at Hogwarts over the past few days.
However, the two were clearly annoyed by Hermione's occasional "bragging" and lecturing, especially when Hermione mentioned the embarrassing incident of being scolded by Professor McGonagall for being late to Transfiguration class.
What they were more interested in was what Jerry mentioned about the large window in the Slytherin common room that offered a view of the lakebed.
"Jerry, as a Slater, I must remind you that associating with those of impure blood or traitors is not a good thing; you'll be affected!"
Just then, a haughty voice, tinged with a hint of sourness, suddenly rang in Jerry's ear.
Jerry turned his head to look.
It turned out to be Daphne, the blonde little witch from Slytherin, sitting next to her with her best friend Millison.
At the school's opening banquet, Daphne was attracted to Jerry, who was handsome and remained unfazed even when facing the blood-soaked Barrow. Later, Jerry excelled in various subjects.
It fulfilled all her fantasies about what a real Slytherin should be like.
Unfortunately, Jerry seemed to prefer being alone. Occasionally, when she approached him to chat, he would give her a charming smile and exchange a few words before ending the conversation because he needed to read.
Although the way Jerry was quietly reading in the common room made her feel pretty good.
But as soon as she entered the classroom, she saw Jerry chatting happily with the other young wizards from Gryffindor, and she immediately felt unhappy.
There are three Gryffindors: one is a lowly Mudblood, one is Weasley who betrayed his bloodline to join Gryffindor, and the other is the famous Harry Potter who should have gone to Slytherin but ended up in Gryffindor.
