Chapter 71 A Chance Encounter at Midnight

Jerry was in a very good mood when he left Snape's office.

He originally rescued Neville just to earn some red stars, and also because Neville was already stupid enough, and this fall would make him even stupider.

When Hermione, Harry, and the other three saw Jerry appear, they gasped for breath and offered frantic explanations all at once.

"Calm down, calm down! The three-headed monster you mentioned hasn't caught up!"

Jerry pointed to the corridor behind the four of them.

The four looked back and, sure enough, the fourth-floor corridor was empty. The three-headed dog was chained up and had not chased after them.

"What exactly is going on? What three-headed monster?"

Jerry feigned confusion.

So the four of them told Jerry about how they had been chased by Filch and accidentally entered the forbidden area on the fourth floor, where they found a huge three-headed dog and a trapdoor.

"By the way, Jerry, what are you doing here?"

After she finished speaking, Hermione suddenly realized something and looked at Jerry with a surprised expression.

Hermione yelled angrily at Harry and Ron.

"Alright, you guys should head back now. I need to go back too, otherwise it'll be troublesome if Mr. Filch comes on patrol again!"

Jerry glanced around, and his keen senses made him vaguely aware that a gaze was falling on him from mid-air, so he quickly spoke up to warn him.

Hermione, Harry, and the other three agreed, greeted Jerry, and ran up the stairs toward the Gryffindor common room on the eighth floor.

Seeing this, Jerry didn't linger and turned back to the Slytherin dormitory.

Although he didn't get to go to the Room of Requirement today, he learned that Dumbledore had indeed been monitoring Harry's every move all along.
