Chapter 28 Mission Completed

Above the boundless ocean, several giant transport planes are slowly moving forward. Behind them are thick steel cables, and at the other end of the cables hangs a steel giant that is at least 100 meters tall—the Eureka Raider.

Inside the mech's cockpit, two figures were intently controlling the steel giant.

One of them was a middle-aged man, burly and with a resolute face and a sense of vicissitude between his brows. He was Heca Hansen, the chief pilot of the mech named "Eureka Raider".

Beside him stood a young man, his son Chuck Hansen, whose eyes were filled with excitement.

"General Stark, the Eureka Raiders are about to arrive on the battlefield," Heka said in a deep voice through the communication device.

General Stark's slightly hoarse voice came through the walkie-talkie: "Quickly finish the battle and minimize casualties."

"Understood." Heca's tone was calm, but a hint of seriousness was faintly visible between his brows.

In the cockpit beside him, Chuck Hansen wore a dismissive smile.

"Dad, there's no need to be so nervous." He tapped the monitor in front of him, which displayed the monster's information. His tone was dismissive. "It's just a level four monster. I can easily break the kill record."

Heca turned to look at him and shook her head helplessly.

Just then, a mechanical voice suddenly came through the communicator: "Reaching the edge of the battlefield, preparing for deployment."

As soon as the words were spoken, the steel cables surrounding the mech snapped. Pulled by gravity, the Eureka Raider plummeted straight to the ground, the surrounding air whistling past its massive body with a deafening roar.

boom!

With a deafening roar, the Eureka Raider crashed heavily to the ground, creating a massive crater. The ground cracked from the impact, sending countless fragments of rock and dirt flying in all directions.

However, when the dust settled, Heca and Chuck saw no sign of the monster. Silence reigned all around, with only the ruins of buildings scattered on the ground, and the empty streets devoid of any human presence.

"Where's the monster?" Chuck frowned, his eyes scanning the street, trying to find traces of the virus.

Just then, a huge crashing sound suddenly came from afar, so loud that it seemed as if the entire city was shaking.

"Over there!" Heca said in a deep voice, maneuvering his mecha toward the direction from which the sound came.

As they passed a row of dilapidated buildings, the sight before them made both of them widen their eyes and almost stop breathing.

The virus's massive body lay sprawled on the ground, the surrounding buildings almost completely leveled. At its head, a giant made of black energy was wielding a huge golden club, smashing it down hard on the virus's skull.

Each impact was accompanied by a deafening roar, shaking the ground. Under this relentless onslaught, the virus's body convulsed uncontrollably, its head a bloody mess, with emerald green blood gushing out and pooling on the ground.

"What...what's going on?" Chuck's eyes widened, his mouth agape, and it took him a while to find his voice. He stared incredulously at the black giant, his mind completely blank.

Heca stared in disbelief at the scene before him, his expression terrifyingly grave.

"Boom!" Another heavy blow landed, and the monster's head caved in again, emerald green blood splattering out and landing on the black giant, instantly turning into wisps of smoke.

Heca snapped back to reality and urgently spoke into the communicator, "This is Eureka Raider, requesting backup! We've discovered an unknown giant entity, currently engaged in combat with a monster!"

"An unknown colossal entity?" General Stark's face darkened, his tone serious.

"Stay vigilant, avoid rash actions, report the situation promptly, and evacuate immediately if necessary."

Before them stood the black giant, his right arm raised high with a weapon, emanating a chilling aura.

"boom!"

With a muffled thud, the Heavenly Pillar slammed down on the "virus's" head, completely shattering its skull. Emerald green blood and brain matter splattered everywhere, pooling on the ground.

Susanoo slowly lowered its weapon, its black figure standing beside the "virus's" corpse, like a majestic war god.

It slowly turned its head, its eyes, which seemed to glow red, staring straight at the Eureka Raider.

Under those eyes, Heka and Chuck both felt an inexplicable pressure, as if an invisible force was pressing down on them.

Chuck felt his blood freeze instantly, his heart pounding as if it would burst from his chest. A deep-seated fear gripped him, making even breathing incredibly difficult.

Heca was in no better condition; his eyes were wide open, and his pupils were trembling violently.

Meanwhile, inside Susanoo, Fugaku Uchiha frowned, his gaze sweeping over Eureka the Raider.

"So this is what they call a Hunter Mech?" Fugaku thought to himself. "Why are they only arriving now when I've already finished fighting them all?"

Just as Fugaku was inwardly grumbling, the virtual screen in front of him suddenly flickered, the original content disappeared, and in its place appeared two new lines of text:

Main Quest 1 Completed: Intercept the Kaiju "Virus" (Completed)

Then another line of smaller text appeared below.

Side Quest: Sololy Eliminate the "Virus" (Completed)

[Reward: 1500 points]

"Side quest?" Fugaku Uchiha looked somewhat confused when he saw the suddenly appearing quest. However, when his gaze fell on the words "Independent Kill," a hint of surprise flashed across his serious face.

"..."

Fugaku Uchiha looked down at the virus-infected corpse on the ground, then looked up at the imposing Eureka Raider in front of him, a faint gloom settling over his brow.

"So, my original mission was to hold off the Kaiju and then wait for the Hunter Jaegers to join the battle..."

As the head of the Uchiha clan, he was always strict with himself and would not easily overlook any detail in a mission. However, this time, being trapped in another world and facing monsters he had never seen before, even he couldn't help but feel a little flustered.

"Never mind." Fugaku sighed, raising his hand to rub his furrowed brow. "What's done is done, there's no point in thinking about it anymore."

As soon as he finished speaking, Fugaku suddenly felt a sharp pain in his eyes. He instinctively raised his hand to press his eyes, and a trickle of crimson blood seeped through his fingers.

During the fierce battle with the monster, he had exerted all his strength to activate his Sharingan, but now that the energy was waning, he could no longer maintain the Mangekyou Sharingan.
