Chapter 29 Negotiation

He groaned and involuntarily covered his eyes with his hands. Blood seeped from between his fingers and trickled down his cheeks.

The chakra around Susanoo began to fluctuate violently, and its originally solid form gradually became transparent.

Fugaku took a deep breath, enduring the pain, and slowly opened his eyes.

The once bright red kaleidoscopes have turned black again, and the three-tomoe windmill pattern has disappeared.

The next moment, Susanoo shattered like a bubble, turning into specks of chakra dust that dissipated into the air.

Fugaku appeared before the Eureka Raiders, slowly raising his hands and opening his palms to show that he meant no harm.

"I am not your enemy, I am here to help you," Fugaku said in a deep voice.

"I was just doing my best to stop that monster from causing destruction."

He stared directly into the Eureka Raider's eyes without flinching.

Heka and Chuck stared wide-eyed at the sight before them in disbelief.

Where the giants disappeared, a middle-aged man who looked remarkably like a human appeared.

The man wore a dark robe, his black hair fluttering gently in the wind. His face was weathered, and his brows exuded an air of authority.

"How...how is this possible?" Heca murmured to himself, his voice filled with shock and disbelief.

"Herka, what happened?" The general's voice came through the communicator.

Heka immediately snapped out of his daze and hurriedly reported to General Stark on the other end of the communicator: "General, the giant has suddenly disappeared! In its place is... a creature that looks very much like a human."

He hesitated for a moment, then added, "He raised his hands, seemingly to indicate that he meant no harm."

There was a few seconds of silence on the other end of the communicator, followed by General Stark's calm voice: "Retreat immediately. Avoid direct contact with him. I will send someone to coordinate with him."

Fugaku Uchiha stood quietly in place, watching the Eureka raider slowly retreat.

"Hmm?" Fugaku frowned, a hint of doubt flashing across his face.

He had expected the other party to respond, but to his surprise, the behemoth suddenly turned around and left without looking back.

Just as he was about to say something, a helicopter suddenly descended from the sky and landed not far from him.

The helicopter door slowly opened, and a tall, blonde woman jumped down, landing steadily on the ground in her high heels.

She was wearing black tight-fitting cargo pants and a white shirt, with a black leather jacket over them.

She strode towards Fugaku Uchiha, a smile on her face and a fanatical glint in her eyes.

"Hello, I'm Cathy Black, a reporter from the Metropolitan Daily," the reporter said loudly, her voice brimming with barely suppressed excitement.

She gripped the microphone tightly in her hand, her eyes fixed on Fugaku as if she were seeing some unparalleled delicacy.

"Excuse me, was that giant you in disguise? That was incredible! It was like having superpowers!"

Cathy's voice trembled slightly, clearly indicating her great excitement; she was almost pressed against Fugaku Uchiha's body.

"Where are you from? Your skin tone looks Asian. Are you from the East?"

A barrage of questions rained down on Fugaku, giving him no chance to catch his breath. The female reporter's speech quickened, and her voice grew louder.

"Uh..." Fugaku Uchiha was completely confused by what the other person was saying. He coughed lightly and replied, "Sorry, I don't understand what you're talking about. I just did what I was supposed to do, nothing special."

At this moment, the survivors gathered in twos and threes, but they all watched from a distance and dared not come closer.

After all, the power that Fugaku Uchiha displayed was beyond everyone's comprehension, and people are always afraid of things that are beyond the norm.

Just as Casey was about to speak again, a series of booming sounds suddenly came from the sky, interrupting her.

As everyone looked up, they saw several armed helicopters descending from the sky, stirring up a gust of wind and whipping up dust from the ground.

Then the hatch slowly opened, and a team of fully armed soldiers rushed out, quickly forming a tight encirclement around Uchiha Fugaku.

Just then, a man in military uniform stepped out from the crowd. He looked to be in his forties, with a square face and an air of authority about him. Judging from the rank insignia on his chest, he was clearly a high-ranking officer.

A military officer in uniform strode forward and said to Fugaku Uchiha, "Sir, please come with us. We need to understand the situation."

Fugaku nodded slightly, thinking to himself, "It seems I'm finally about to make contact with the higher-ups of this world. Whether this world is friend or foe, I'll only know after I meet them."

"Wait!" Seeing this, Casey quickly stepped forward to try and stop them. "Where are you taking him? The public has the right to know, we need an explanation!"

In her view, Fugaku Uchiha was a hero in this disaster, a benefactor who saved countless lives, not a dangerous element. The government's treatment of him was utterly putting the cart before the horse!

However, the officer merely glanced at her coldly, his tone leaving no room for argument: "Madam, this is none of your business. Please do not obstruct our official duties."

After saying that, he waved to the soldiers beside him. Several soldiers immediately stepped forward and blocked Casey's path, preventing her from getting any closer to Uchiha Fugaku.

Casey glared angrily at the soldiers, her voice resolute: "You thugs, I'll report everything!"

The soldiers formed a human wall to isolate the surrounding crowd.

Fugaku was quickly escorted by soldiers onto the helicopter. He looked around and saw that although the soldiers were fully armed, their tense bodies and wary eyes revealed their inner unease.

A heavy and vigilant atmosphere filled the air; everyone was extremely tense, fearing that Uchiha Fugaku might suddenly attack.

The officer sitting opposite Fugaku cleared his throat and said apologetically, "Sir, I'm sorry to treat you this way. But your situation is so special that we have to be extremely careful."

Fugaku nodded slightly. After all, in this world, his own existence was a mystery, a potential threat. The other party's caution was understandable.

"I understand," Fugaku said calmly. "You have your duties. I will cooperate."
