"Wes, come in. Headmaster Dumbledore is already waiting for you," Professor McGonagall said. "I have other important matters to attend to, so I'll be leaving now."

"Thank you for your help, Professor McGonagall. If you have time, I would also like to ask you about Transfiguration. Your paper is truly brilliant and I have benefited greatly from it."

After Professor McGonagall left, Weiss walked through the door with a heavy heart.

This is an incredibly spacious circular room, with the walls covered with portraits of the former headmasters, all of them gently snoring in their respective frames.

The room is also decorated with various exquisite silverwares, which exude a mysterious and charming luster.

Wes looked around but didn't see Dumbledore's much-anticipated pet—Fox the Phoenix.

He never expected that, in addition to Headmaster Dumbledore, Professor Snape would also be waiting for him.

He quickly stepped forward and said apologetically, "I'm so sorry to have kept you both waiting."

Dumbledore smiled and gestured for him to sit down: "Mr. Erwin, you are very punctual."

"If you are ready, I think we can start the interview as soon as possible. You should understand that as the principal, I have a mountain of things to deal with every day."

As Dumbledore spoke, he winked mischievously.

Snape, however, let out a disdainful sneer.

"Don't worry about Professor Snape, he's just here to sit in on the proceedings."

"Yes, Principal, I think I am fully prepared."

"The following questions may involve some personal privacy, but we still hope you can answer them truthfully."

"No problem, Principal."

"So, Mr. Erwin, could you tell me why you applied for the professorship? You know, the salary for this job isn't very high; it wouldn't even cover the cost of the luxurious robe you're wearing."

Wes frowned slightly, thought for a moment, and decided to answer truthfully.

Moreover, he knew very well that his lies would be exposed in front of these two top masters of Legilimency.

"My goal is actually very simple: to return to Hogwarts."

"Oh?" Dumbledore gestured for Wes to elaborate with interest.

"After graduation, I went through a series of adventures."

"In this process, I realized that the knowledge I learned in school was pitifully little."

"No one else will ever impart knowledge to me as unreservedly and meticulously as you professors."

"I've encountered a seemingly insurmountable bottleneck in my magical explorations, and I believe that only by returning to Hogwarts, with its largest library in all of Europe, can I possibly break through this predicament..."

Weiss frankly revealed his true purpose in one breath.

"So you risked everything to deal with dark wizards, and even violated regulations to explore dangerous ruins."

Professor Snape suddenly interrupted, his deep eyes fixed on Wes, his gaze scrutinizing.

His eyes seemed empty and lifeless; although he was questioning, it was difficult to discern his true inner emotions.

"That's right," Wes replied without hesitation.

Having received the answer he wanted, Professor Snape fell silent.

"You are very honest, Mr. Erwin," Dumbledore said, adjusting his glasses and looking slightly serious.

"I've heard some unpleasant rumors about you, and to be honest, they've really surprised me. If there's solid evidence, you'll probably be imprisoned in Azkaban by the Ministry of Magic without hesitation."

"The Ministry of Magic is a pile of shit in my eyes!"

Wes was not intimidated by Dumbledore's words at all. Instead, he said emotionally, "Those people are no longer worthy of being called wizards."

Dumbledore and Professor Snape were clearly not prepared for Wess to be so outspoken.

"It seems Mr. Erwin harbors a great deal of resentment towards the Ministry of Magic. Last year, I almost became the Minister of Magic."

Dumbledore said with a slightly humorous joking tone.

"That's impossible," Wes said with absolute certainty.

"A truly wise wizard will stay away from politics, because those dirty and foolish political matters will taint the wizard's pure soul."

"Oh!" Dumbledore exclaimed in surprise.

"That's a remarkable insight. You know, it took me decades to come to understand this, and you, Mr. Erwin, have already grasped it at such a young age."

"Maybe it's because I'm Muggle-born."

Wes patiently explained, "Magic was nothing short of a miracle for me; it completely changed my destiny."

"Fate..." Dumbledore's expression became somewhat inscrutable.

"Then, one last question, Mr. Erwin, do you know the Mystic?"

"The mysterious man? You mean Voldemort, right?"

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Professor Snape, sitting next to him, involuntarily shuddered slightly upon hearing the name.

However, he concealed it very well, and neither Dumbledore nor Wes noticed this subtle change.

"Aren't you afraid of such a terrifying being?" Dumbledore asked Wes with a sharp look.

Wes remained calm: "Why should I be afraid of a guy who has already failed?"

Professor Snape's eyes finally showed a noticeable change.

"Your courage truly amazes me, Mr. Erwin," Dumbledore praised without reservation. "It has been almost 11 years, and nowadays few in the wizarding world dare to mention his name directly; everyone simply refers to him as the Mysterious Man."

Wes shrugged nonchalantly: "Maybe it's because I come from the Muggle world."

After a moment of contemplation, Dumbledore said, "You're hired, Mr. Irwin."

Wes jumped up excitedly and grasped Dumbledore's hand tightly: "That's wonderful, Headmaster Dumbledore! I will definitely work hard to become a qualified teacher."

"Don't get too excited yet. Magic runes are a rather niche subject, and not many students will choose to study it, so regarding your salary..."

"No problem, Principal, I don't care about the salary."

After the two successfully signed the contract, Wes left in high spirits.

At this point, only Dumbledore and Snape remained in the office.

"He's dangerous," Snape said gravely.

"He's just too naive," Dumbledore said slowly. "He needs the right guidance, and in time, he might become a powerful force in our fight against Tom."

Snape unconsciously touched the Dark Mark on his arm.

"He showed no respect for the Mystic, and my Dark Mark didn't react at all. He's definitely not a Death Eater."

"Then we should try even harder to win him over to our side, Severus. I am getting old, and Tom is about to make a comeback. We need more strength."

The scene instantly fell silent.

Snape got up and left, leaving behind the words, "I hope your judgment is correct."

Back at the hotel, Weiss was in high spirits and couldn't wait to start preparing his lesson plan. He was in a state of extreme excitement.

He raced against time to prepare the lesson plans for the new semester before the start of the school year, and eagerly awaited the upcoming school opening day.
