Chapter 62 Finding the Bigfoot

Crook Hill first took a leisurely stroll around the campus, moving with elegant and agile steps, lightly traversing every corner of the school.

The turmeric-colored figure would sometimes flash by under the corridor, and sometimes linger for a moment in the garden, as if it were carefully searching for some important target.

This time, instead of returning to Hermione's side as usual, it walked straight out of the gates of Hogwarts.

"As expected," Wes thought to himself. He knew that tracking Crook Mountain this time would definitely yield results.

Once outside the school grounds, Crookshank's speed noticeably increased. It would stop frequently, sniffing the air carefully, trying to detect even the faintest scents. At the same time, it cautiously surveyed its surroundings, remaining highly alert.

Soon after, Crookshank arrived at a dilapidated house. It stood there quietly, its tail swaying gently, and barked twice toward the house.

"Woof~ Woof~" Two loud replies quickly came from inside the house.

Then, a large, jet-black dog emerged from the dilapidated house. Although it looked enormous, it was emaciated, with every rib clearly visible, indicating that it had suffered greatly.

Its fur was messy and had lost its former luster.

"Meow~ Meow~"

"Woof~ woof~"

The cat and dog seem to be communicating in some way.

A near-human sense of loss flickered in the black dog's eyes. It lowered its head, looking utterly dejected. Crookshan gently nuzzled the dog's large head, as if to comfort it.

At that moment, Wes broke free of the illusion spell and appeared in front of a cat and a dog.

They were stunned at first, then their fur stood on end like sharp thorns. They roared at Wes, full of hostility towards this uninvited guest.

"Nice to meet you, Bigfoot, or rather, Sirius."

The big black dog was taken aback. He hadn't heard this name in a long time, and the familiar yet unfamiliar address stirred up a complex emotion in his heart.

But it still instinctively chose to defend itself, baring its sharp teeth and poised to pounce on Wes.

"I know Peter Pettigrew isn't dead, and I know you've been framed." Wes's words struck Sirius like a thunderbolt. Sirius's mind went blank for a moment, unable to react, his dog face filled with disbelief.

"Woof~"

"Woof~"

It barked anxiously at Wes, as if explaining something important.

"I don't understand dog language, you can turn back into human form first." Wes shrugged, looking helpless.

The large black dog curled up into a ball, and then its body began to deform, gradually transforming into a tall, adult male.

He was dressed in tattered clothes, the original colors and styles long gone. His greasy and dirty long hair and messy beard almost covered most of his face, making him look more like a homeless person than a homeless person. Only his deep gray eyes were visible.

"Who are you... what do you know?" Sirius spoke haltingly, perhaps due to a long period of not communicating with anyone, or perhaps due to his physical weakness.

"Before we discuss these things, I think you need to replenish your energy," Wes said, waving his wand lightly, and a picnic blanket appeared on the ground.

Next, bread, milk, fruit, steak and other foods appeared one after another on the tablecloth, emitting an enticing aroma.

Sirius involuntarily swallowed his saliva. Since his escape, he had either rummaged through garbage cans for food or hunted small animals like rats to barely fill his stomach. He hadn't tasted such a sumptuous meal in a long time.

However, he remained highly wary of Weiss, unsure why this stranger wanted to help him.

"Don't worry, it's not like I'd have to resort to poison to deal with a wizard without a wand. Besides, if I really wanted to capture you, I would have notified the Ministry of Magic long ago, and it would have been Dementors that came."

Sirius Black shuddered involuntarily upon hearing the word "Dementor".

However, Wes's words did make sense. From Sirius's interactions with Wes, he did not sense any malice from the other party.

So, with trembling hands, he picked up a piece of bread and stuffed it into his mouth. In less than three seconds, he swallowed the bread.

After that, he couldn't wait to grab a piece of steak and stuff it into his mouth. Before he could even swallow it, he stuffed a piece of bread into his mouth, and ended up choking so badly that his eyes rolled back in his head.

He quickly grabbed a can of milk and gulped it down, spilling milk all over himself. After finally managing to swallow the food in his mouth, he started stuffing more food into his mouth, making a mess of the tablecloth.

While eating, Sirius suddenly burst into tears, with tears and snot streaming down his face.

These foods brought him a long-lost sense of warmth, and the pain and grievances in his heart also welled up.

Weiss didn't disturb him, but simply stood quietly to the side, letting him vent his emotions.

Crookshank jumped into Sirius's arms, meowing softly. Sirius fed Crookshank a meat patty, saying, "Thank you for your hard work. I don't know what I would have done without you."

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

This tough guy, who had never shed a tear even after being wrongfully imprisoned and tortured by Dementors in Azkaban for years, was now in tears.

His tears contained so many emotions: pain, grievance, gratitude, and a lingering hope.

Sirius, wiping away his tears, looked at Wes: "How did you know Crookshanks was helping me?"

Wes handed the Marauder's Map to Sirius.

Sirius gently stroked the parchment, the familiar touch reminding him of many things from the past.

"The Marauder's Map you made fell into the hands of the Weasley twins, and coincidentally they..." Wes began to explain his pre-prepared reasoning, "The Crookshanks' purpose was too obvious, and they looked down on other rats, so I suspected they were instructed by someone, but I never expected it to be you."

Wes's reasoning actually had many flaws, but Sirius was a bit slow on the uptake at that moment and didn't notice them.

"So that's how it is. I never thought that the prop I used for a prank would actually help me again."

Sirius stared at the Marauder's Map, lost in memories.

"What are your plans next?" Wes interrupted his thoughts.

"Of course, we need to capture that traitor, Sirius," Sirius's eyes turned fierce. "I want him to repent for everything he's done."

"How do we catch it?"

"Crooked Hill did a great job, he almost caught the mouse," Sirius said confidently. "Give it a little more time, and it will definitely catch Little Pettigrew."

Crookshank proudly raised its head when Sirius Black spoke so highly of it.

"Just because I said your Animagus form is a dog doesn't mean your brain has turned into a dog's brain." Wes looked at Sirius speechlessly.

"What do you mean???" Sirius was a little confused by Wes's words and clearly did not understand what Wes meant.
