Chapter 67 The Dementors Attack

Several times, thanks to the big dog's warnings, Harry successfully evaded Filch's capture. Whenever Filch's figure appeared at the end of the corridor, the black tiger would give an early warning, gently nudging Harry's leg with its nose or alerting him with a low bark.

One day, Harry and Hermione sat in a corner of the library, discussing the origins of the Black Tiger.

Hermione stroked Crookshank in her arms, saying thoughtfully, "Perhaps it has the blood of some kind of magical creature, just like Crookshank. You see, Crookshank often shows a stronger sense of perception than a normal cat."

Harry didn't care about any of that; what he cherished more was the kindness the big black dog showed him, which warmed his heart.

Just as they were talking, Ron angrily stood up from his seat and left the library without saying a word, leaving Harry and Hermione looking at each other in bewilderment.

"What's wrong with him?" Hermione frowned, looking somewhat displeased.

Harry sighed and explained, "Scabbers has been missing for several days, and Ron is very worried about it. It's probably because Scabbers is too old; it's rare for a mouse to live to be over ten years old."

"Crooked Hill, you didn't eat Scabbers, did you?" Hermione hurriedly pried open Crooked Hill's mouth, examining it closely, afraid that the cat had really done something unbelievable. "You can't eat mice, it's disgusting."

Crookshanks deftly broke free from Hermione's grasp and jumped onto Sirius's back.

Then it kept meowing, as if explaining to Hermione: I would never eat such a disgusting mouse!

Hermione looked at Crookshanks and pretended to understand. Then she checked the time, stood up, and said, "I have to get to class, Harry. I'm leaving Crookshanks in your care."

After saying that, she hurriedly ran away, leaving Harry, Sirius, and Crookshanks behind.

Hermione has taken every elective course she can this year, keeping her busy like a spinning top all day long.

If it weren't for Professor McGonagall applying to the Ministry of Magic for a Time-Turner, she wouldn't have been able to complete all her courses, even if she had worked herself to the bone.

Harry crouched down, gently touching Sirius's protruding ribs, and said with concern, "You're still too thin. You need to eat more."

Sirius's dog had a happy smile on its face. It rubbed its wet nose against Harry's hand, looking as happy as if it had the whole world.

Crookshan turned his face away dismissively, too lazy to pay attention to this "stupid dog".

"Harry is so kind, just like Lily..." Sirius Black praised Harry endlessly in Wes's office.

Wes's ears were constantly filled with "Harry did this and that," "Harry did that and that," it was like a cacophony of noise that he couldn't stand.

"Can't even a steak shut you up?"

Sirius shrugged, about to answer, but Wes silenced him with a kiss. Wes was finally able to quietly read his book and enjoy a moment of peace.

Time flew by, and soon it was Quidditch match day, which everyone had been looking forward to. However, it seemed that God wanted to add some twists and turns to this grand event, as it started to drizzle early in the morning.

The rain gradually intensified, the sky became overcast, and soon small puddles gathered on the ground.

The sudden rain did not dampen the students' burning enthusiasm. They had prepared early, carrying colorful umbrellas, wearing all sorts of raincoats, and arriving at the Quidditch pitch with great excitement.

They found their seats in the stands and excitedly discussed the upcoming match.

Today's match is Gryffindor versus Hufflepuff, a highly anticipated clash between these two houses.

Huge banners were unfurled on both sides, and various forms of support emerged one after another. Some people even set off fireworks, which exploded in the air and formed the patterns of their respective colleges.

Before the match even officially started, supporters from both sides were already clashing in the stands, shouting and cheering.

Oliver Wood was the Quidditch captain of Gryffindor. His love for Quidditch ran deep in his bones, and he was extremely strict with his team members, demanding perfection in every move and every tactic. Of course, he was the same with himself.

"We haven't won a trophy in eight years, and this year is my last chance." Wood's face was solemn, and his serious expression made it seem as if he was about to participate in not an ordinary competition, but a life-or-death duel.

His eyes were fixed on the team members, especially Harry.

"Harry!!" Captain Wood's voice suddenly rang out, and Harry, whose name was called, couldn't help but shudder, a sense of tension welling up in his heart.

"Even if it means death, we will catch the Golden Snitch." Wood's aura was so powerful that Harry couldn't help but swallow hard, feeling immense pressure and even his breathing became heavy.

"That's too much." The other teammates complained one after another. They felt that Captain Wood's demands were a bit too harsh. After all, the game is full of variables, and you can't put all your hopes on one person.

The twin brothers Fred and George quickly reassured Harry, "Don't listen to Wood's nonsense, he's just too nervous."

Harry breathed a sigh of relief, and the tension in his heart eased slightly.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Meanwhile, Dumbledore also made a rare appearance at the game. He boasted to Wes, who was sitting next to him, "When I was young, I was a great player. If I hadn't become a coach, I might have become a professional player."

It turns out that Dumbledore was also a Quidditch enthusiast, and his love for the sport was second to none.

However, Wes had no interest in Quidditch; in his view, rainy days were best spent brewing a steaming cup of black tea in the office and then sitting in a comfortable chair to enjoy it slowly.

If it weren't for Dumbledore's insistent invitation, Wes would never have shown up here. He looked helplessly at the court, hoping the game would end as soon as possible.

When the match began, the cheers from the audience were deafening, echoing throughout the entire Hogwarts.

The match was very intense, with both teams displaying a very high level of skill, and the players were speeding through the rain.

The Gryffindor players worked together seamlessly, and every pass and shot demonstrated the team's cohesion.

The Hufflepuff players were equally determined, maintaining a tight defense and launching swift counterattacks, putting immense pressure on the Gryffindor players.

The rain continued to fall, but it did not dampen the players' fighting spirit in the slightest.

However, the rain intensified, severely impairing the players' visibility. Several car crashes occurred during the match, causing concern among the players.

Fortunately, no one was injured, and they continued to fight in the rain, with cheers from the audience rising higher and higher.

However, no one noticed that the Dementors guarding Hogwarts were slowly approaching the Quidditch pitch. Their black forms appeared and disappeared in the rain, like ghosts.
