Battle Through the Heavens: Reborn as a Devouring Python, Medusa is taken home.

Chapter 29, The First Round of Competition

Bright sunshine covered the entire city of Gama.

Today marks the official start of the Alchemist Conference.

Early in the morning, countless alchemists emerged from the streets and alleys, heading towards the venue.

The event was held at the Royal Square of the Gama Royal Family.

The royal guards of the Gama royal family surrounded the entire square in layers to ensure order and security.

Only participants are allowed to enter the plaza.

The audience could only wait in the outer stands.

If anyone dares to cross the warning line, the royal guards of the Gama royal family will not be lenient!

Ning followed the crowd into the square—he had registered two days earlier and qualified for the competition.

On the high platform directly in front sat the leaders of the various factions.

Everyone who was supposed to come, and everyone who could come, has come.

Soon, all the contestants had taken the stage.

The audience members had also found their seats.

A loud bell rang out from the high platform, echoing all around.

The entire square fell silent immediately, all turning their gazes toward the platform.

On the high platform, Fama stood up.

"Gentlemen, welcome to our Alchemist Conference. I am the president of the Alchemist Guild of the Gama Empire."

"First of all, please allow me to introduce the specially invited referees for this Alchemist Conference."

"The first one is our royal family's guardian—Jia Xingtian."

"The second one is our current sect leader, Yun Yun!"

Below the stage, countless people looked at the two powerful figures who symbolized the identity and strength of the Gama Empire with admiration.

Many people have only heard of the title of the Guardian of the Gama Royal Family and the Sect Master of the Yunlan Sect.

But this is the first time I've ever seen someone like this in person.

Many people are thrilled to finally meet such a legendary figure.

"I hope everyone can achieve results that satisfy them."

"Now, I hereby declare the Seventh Alchemist Conference of the Gama Empire officially open!"

when!

The resounding bell tolled throughout the square.

The crowd erupted in cheers and jubilation.

"Now, all participants, please come up and find your positions."

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, the participants began to take the stage one after another.

Ning randomly picked a spot, which was inconspicuous among the many contestants.

"This year's Alchemist Conference consists of three rounds of competition."

"In the first round, there is a prescription on the stage in front of you, but the information recorded on it is incomplete. You need to refine the pill according to the instructions on the prescription."

"Did you all understand?"

"clear!"

The first round of trials has officially begun.

Everyone immediately began studying the prescription in front of them, racing against time.

Ning picked up the prescription, which contained a formula for a medicine called "Sheng Gu Dan".

It belongs to the second-grade elixir category.

This is a specially improved formula by the Alchemist Guild, and it is different from the Bone-Growing Pills on the market.

What everyone had to do was to refine the complete elixir based on the incomplete prescription and their own experience.

This level isn't too difficult.

After careful study, many people immediately began to refine elixirs.

With the alchemy experience he gained from Yan Li, Ning Su is now a true peak fourth-grade alchemist.

They quickly figured out the general prescription and began to prepare it.

Clusters of flames lit up the square.

……

"Elder Jia, Sect Master Yun, who do you think has the best chance at this Alchemist Conference?" Fa Ma asked with a smile.

"Looking at this year's candidates, the most outstanding ones are Elder Guhe's disciple Liu Ling and the little princess. They should be considered to have the best alchemy skills among them," Yun Yun said.

"That girl Yue'er is spoiled and willful; she can't compare to Liu Ling in alchemy." Jia Xingtian didn't flatter Yao Yue.

That girl's talent for alchemy is indeed remarkable.

However, she is still far inferior to Liu Ling.

The latter was, after all, Guhe's disciple.

"That Rock Owl seems pretty good too; he should also be a third-grade alchemist." Fa Ma's perspective was more comprehensive.

"No outstanding alchemists have been found in other empires yet, so it seems the champion will be decided between Liu Ling and the little princess," Mittel Tengshan said with a smile.

Although the Alchemist Conference welcomes alchemists from all other empires to participate.

But this was just a polite gesture.

Alchemists from other empires, especially true genius alchemists, would never be able to participate.

Otherwise, if something unexpected happens and they lose a few talented alchemists, they'll have nowhere to turn for help.

It's not just the alchemist conference of the Gama Empire.

The alchemist conferences of other empires are all the same.

They welcome alchemists from other empires to participate, but generally no one does.

The latest novel is first published here!

The main competition is among alchemists within their own empire.

Yafei, who lives next to Mittelteng Mountain, doesn't think so.

Her gaze was not on the little princess and Liu Ling.

Instead, it was two other people placed on the stage.

One of them is Xiao Yan, who is in the middle.

One is Ning Su, located on the edge of the square.

These two are the people she's truly focused on.

"Won't these two guys shine?"

She muttered to herself.

……

On the stage, everyone's alchemy had entered its final stage.

This round of competition is entirely based on individual ability.

Some people fail once not long after they start.

He failed again and was completely disqualified and eliminated.

Liu Ling and Yao Yue were the first to successfully refine the pill, which drew cheers from the crowd.

They are undoubtedly the most dazzling players on the field right now, attracting everyone's attention.

Others gradually found the knack and successfully refined the elixir.

Ning Su wasn't in a hurry.

He could be the first to finish refining it, but that would be too dazzling!

He didn't want to attract too much attention.

The more attention you pay, the greater the risk you expose.

Ning Su didn't want her identity to be exposed before she even got the Fusion Pill.

Finally, everyone on the field completed the refining of the elixir.

But this does not mean it's over.

There is also a pill testing process, where everyone needs to place the pills they have on a stone platform through a pill testing port.

Only pills that pass the test are considered合格 (qualified/up to standard).

This step eliminated a small number of people.

Some people simply assemble the pills into a round shape, trying to fool others.

These people were naturally eliminated.

Some of them became so angry that they started cursing and swearing, and were eventually escorted away by the Imperial Guards.

As the pill testing began, beams of green light, representing the quality of the pills, rose up.

The richer the color, the higher the quality of the elixir.

The pills that Liu Ling and the little princess both possessed were of a rich green color, making them the highest quality among everyone present.

Just when everyone thought that their pills were the best...

Suddenly, an even more intense and dazzling pillar of light shot into the sky, instantly overshadowing the pillars of light emanating from Liu Ling and the little princess!

Everyone immediately looked over—all turning towards Ning Su's direction.

That's the quality of Ning Su's elixirs.

"Holy crap, this quality seems way too good!"
