Battle Through the Heavens: Reborn as a Devouring Python, Medusa is taken home.

Chapter 30, Yun Yun takes a liking to Ning Su.

"Holy crap, the quality is off the charts!"

Ning told himself that he was startled by the beam of light.

He intentionally tried to avoid attracting too much attention, but forgot to control the quality of the elixir.

Even a casually crafted pill by a peak fourth-grade alchemist is more skillful than that of some second- or third-grade alchemists.

However, Ning Su lacked experience and forgot to control the timing.

He accidentally created the highest quality pill in the entire place.

Everyone outside the arena turned to look.

"Such a rich color! It's even of higher quality than the pills used by Liu Ling and the little princess?!"

"Who is this person? I've never seen him before."

Jia Xingtian, Yun Yun, and the others immediately looked at Ning Su.

They had no recollection of that unfamiliar boy's face.

It's certain that he's not an alchemist from the Holy City of Gama.

And he looks so young, probably only fifteen or sixteen years old.

Where did this genius young alchemist come from?

The young alchemist was not surprised.

To their surprise, Ning Su was so young, yet her alchemy skills had reached such a level.

That's truly terrifying!

Fama immediately had someone find the information—all participants had to leave their information when registering.

"This boy is named Ning Su, and he comes from a desert city near the Tagor Desert."

"So, he's an alchemist from our Jia Ma Empire?" Jia Xingtian immediately became interested.

"As expected, there are many hidden masters among the common people. It seems that our Jia Ma Empire still has quite a few geniuses hidden away."

They are open to any alchemist who is not from another empire.

"It seems that holding an alchemist conference can indeed attract many talented alchemists." Yun Yun also looked at the young man on the stage with great interest.

"Could it be that Sect Master Yun has taken a liking to this young man?" Mu Chen, the head of the Mu family, chuckled from the side.

Yun Yun smiled sweetly, not trying to hide her feelings: "I think I'm not the only one who's interested, am I?"

A genius alchemist is naturally the object of contention among various powerful forces.

The Alchemist Conference is a stage for alchemists from all sides to challenge themselves.

It is also a good opportunity for all parties to recruit talent.

If they encounter a suitable alchemist, they are happy to extend an olive branch.

For example, Gu He, who won the championship in the previous Alchemist Conference, was recruited by the Yunlan Sect.

"Sect Master Yun, your Yunlan Sect already has a Pill King, Gu He. Don't try to take this young man from us," Mittel Tengshan said with a smile.

Yun Yun smiled but remained silent.

But clearly, they had all noticed the boy on the stage.

……

"Teacher, do you know who that guy is?"

The beam of light caused by Ning Su's pill also caught Xiao Yan's attention.

He had only been paying attention to Liu Ling and the little princess, who were the only two people who posed a threat to him.

But now a Cheng Yaojin has suddenly appeared out of nowhere, forcing him to take notice.

"I don't know how to tell fortunes, how would I know who he is?"

"Judging from the quality of the pills he refines, he is at least a third-grade alchemist. Little Yanzi, you have another competitor this time," Yao Lao joked.

"One more or one less won't make a difference. I'm not afraid of him at all." Xiao Yan didn't take Ning Su seriously.

This is only the first round of the competition.

It's still a long way from when the winner is decided!

……

"The first round of trials is over. Congratulations on remaining on the stage."

After a brief commotion, Fama stood up and presided over the meeting.

"The next round of competition will be the second round."

"The requirements for this round of competition are very simple. The prescriptions displayed in front of you are authentic prescriptions developed by more than a dozen alchemists from our Alchemist Guild."

"All you need to do is refine the pills according to the prescription."

"The requirements remain the same: two chances. Successfully refining it within the allotted time counts as a success."

Fama announced the requirements for the second round of the competition.

This surprised many people.

The prescription and medicinal materials are all ready; all that's needed is to refine the elixir to pass the test.

Is there really such a simple competition?

But they checked the prescription and it was indeed a legitimate prescription.

However, this time the pill to be refined is a grade three pill.

Is this a test of their alchemy skills?

"Alright, the rules have been explained. Let's begin the second round!"

Fama didn't give them much time to think before announcing the start of the second round of the competition.

Everyone immediately began to prepare the medicine.

……

The latest novel is first published here!

"President Fa Ma, what are the main difficulties in this round of assessments?" Yun Yun asked curiously.

Although she is now one of the judges, she is not clear about the content of the assessment.

They were just there to make an appearance, after all.

"This round of assessment was very simple. We added one more herb to the prescription that has properties that counteract the properties of other herbs."

"Any alchemist with a bit of experience can figure out where the problem lies after failing once."

"But as I just said, this prescription was specially developed by more than a dozen alchemists from our Alchemist Guild."

"Questioning the prescription is questioning the dozen or so alchemists in our guild. Let's see if you have the guts to question authority," Fa Ma explained.

This round of assessment tests not only their alchemy skills but also their confidence.

To be a qualified alchemist, alchemy skills alone are not enough.

"This is a good test. Let's see who can pass it first." Jia Xingtian also agreed with Fa Ma's arrangement.

That's what makes a test interesting.

……

Not surprisingly.

Almost everyone failed the first time they tried to prepare the medicine according to the prescription.

The muffled sounds of explosions echoed across the square.

This also left the alchemists on the stage somewhat dumbfounded.

My actions were all correct, so why did it fail?

The people in the audience didn't understand either.

If only a portion of people fail, then so be it.

But now almost everyone has failed. Surely not everyone's alchemy skills are only half-baked?

Everyone was completely bewildered.

"Teacher, what's going on? I was very careful with my technique." Xiao Yan was confused.

"There's something wrong with this prescription."

"The prescription is problematic? This was made by the Alchemist Guild, what could possibly be wrong with it?"

"There's a surplus of one of the medicinal herbs. This is the real test. Find that surplus herb," the old herb reminded him.

Xiao Yan didn't understand why the Alchemist Guild would set up such an assessment.

But he unconditionally trusted the old doctor.

The others also started preparing again.

Some people have also vaguely seen through the clues, but whether they dare to question the prescription is up to them.

……

Time passed once more.

Few dared to question the prescription, but a few people did manage to successfully refine it.

Ning Su, Xiao Yan, the little princess, and Liu Ling all succeeded.

Moreover, they left a type of medicinal herb untouched on their table.

The others immediately became certain of their guess, and they quickly removed any herbs that seemed off and hurriedly began refining the herbs.

Finally, the second round of trials came to an end...
