Demigod Mage in America

Chapter 23 Raine's Duel Arena

As Renn slowly stepped over the wooden table, blue and white arcane magic appeared in the air, automatically outlining a square structure.

In the blink of an eye, a square frame appeared in the shop, and Bruce was standing in the frame with his youngest son next to him.

"My client, Mr. Zhang, hopes your deaths will quell his anger, so... please forgive me."

Ryan bowed with one hand on his chest, like a well-mannered gentleman, and wore a warm smile.

It was as if he were chatting with a friend, rather than about to carry out an execution.

"Damn it, I'm an American citizen, and I'm Mr. Murphy's friend. If you dare kill me, you'll be in big trouble!" The black man was both shocked and furious. Ryan Lu's move made him completely uneasy.

He had never seen such a method before!

To others, it was just a square frame, but to the Black man, it was as if he and his youngest son had been thrown into a blood-red arena.

Beneath their feet was a huge stage paved with black stone bricks, with molten lava gushing from the edges of the steps, and beyond that were rings of stands, but at this moment the stands were empty.

The Fourth Ring – Rennes' Duel Arena

The function of this dueling arena is very simple: nothing that happens here can affect the outside of the spell, and people outside can see inside, but people inside cannot see outside.

When Raine stepped into the dueling arena, a bunch of illusory figures suddenly appeared in the previously empty audience seats.

"Raine! Raine! Raine!" Loud shouts came from all directions, causing the two black men in the room to cover their ears.

That sound was even more ear-piercing than someone playing DJ music with a subwoofer turned up to the maximum next to you.

"Raine, you can't kill him," Catherine suddenly spoke up. "If he's guilty, then the law should judge him."

Ryan turned to look at her: "You know what? Kevin, the one kneeling on the ground, is the one the hired gunman tried to kill you with."

Catherine's pupils contracted, her face filled with disbelief: "You mean the gunmen he hired?"

"I'll tell you a name, you can look it up yourself when you're back at work: Bruce Allen..."

Before Ryan could finish speaking, he saw the black man opposite him raise his hand.

Drum! An invisible shockwave emanated from his palm, a force powerful enough to blow away a black bear, striking Renn, yet barely lifting the hem of his clothes.

"Oh? Is this all the tricks you're relying on? Do you have anything else? Use them all at once, or you'll be in for a lot of pain."

Ryan crossed his arms over his stomach, still wearing that smile, but anyone who knew him well would know that Ryan was angry at this moment.

After all, it's not a good experience to be interrupted halfway through your sentence.

Bruce's forehead veins bulged, indicating that using this kind of power put a considerable strain on him each time.

Another shockwave struck, and this time Renn did not choose to withstand it head-on, but instead took a slight step to the side.

But this one step made Bruce's heart sink.

The other party was simply playing him for a fool!

"Who are you?!" His voice trembled slightly as he desperately tried to recall if he had offended anyone.

Why would someone target me? Is it because of the child he bought from the Upper East Side last month? Or the spine he bought earlier this year?

"Uh... Ah!!"

After another shockwave was casually dispersed by Ryan, Bruce let out a painful howl. His pupils were bloodshot, and his mind was gradually becoming muddled.

Alex was terrified; he had never seen his father so deranged.

Catherine's gaze also fell upon him; the hysterical voice reminded her of certain suspects on the verge of death.

Zhang Tuan's wife huddled up in fear, muttering to herself.

Zhang Tuan himself was so excited that he was practically floating on air. He waved his fists, as excited as a fan of twenty years who had suddenly seen the national football team qualify for the World Cup.

Kevin knelt on the ground, his mouth still agape.

Who exactly did they offend?

Seeing that the time was almost right, Ryan glanced at Catherine and smiled slightly.

Raising his pale hand above his head, Raine connected to the magic network of this world, shaping magic from the intangible into the tangible.

Wild magic, under his control, became as docile as the most gentle cat, and an orange-red sphere condensed in his palm.

Fireball

The sphere was about the size of a fist, barely fitting in his palm. Its destructive power made Catherine, who was watching from the side, feel as if she could feel its scorching heat.

She raised her hand to wipe her forehead, but it was dry to the touch; she hadn't sweated at all.

Boom! Raine threw the fireball, and the flames shot into the sky, obscuring everyone's vision.

For some reason, in the instant of the explosion, Catherine thought of... a nuclear bomb!

"So this is why he is so indifferent to the law..." Catherine couldn't help but wonder. If she also possessed such power, would she still have such reverence for the law?

She didn't know the answer either; maybe yes, or maybe... no.

A faint mushroom cloud rose up and then quickly dissipated, revealing the scene inside.

"It seems I accidentally overdid it," Renn thought to himself.

He just used the Ring-Up spell, which increased the power of the fireball by two levels, and ended up accidentally causing a huge problem.

The two black men had already vaporized from his attack, leaving only two white, human-shaped marks as proof of their existence.

The black stone bricks on the ground were shattered under the enormous impact.

The spectators in the stands were still chanting the name of Rennes.

"The increase in divine power is a bit beyond my expectations."

It never had this kind of power before; at best, it was only slightly stronger than an RPG.

Raine turned his gaze to Zhang Tuan, whose ghost was now showing signs of becoming ethereal.

Zhang Tuan was horrified. The enemy he couldn't defeat had simply evaporated at the hands of someone else.

But at the same time, a warm feeling welled up in my heart, the satisfaction of having avenged my great grudge.

The formation of spirits is usually due to obsession. Once the obsession dissipates, the spirit will also dissipate automatically.

Raine is now fulfilling his last wish; the revenge is half done, but the other half is still missing.

With that thought in mind, he turned his gaze to the woman kneeling on the ground, signaling to Raine that he could make his move.

With a flick of his finger, the dueling arena shattered like glass, covered in spiderweb-like cracks, before finally vanishing without a trace.

The people in the firm were dumbfounded; they had never imagined that the world could be so surreal.

So everything in the movies is real, they just couldn't access it before?

Catherine shuddered; she couldn't help but think of the president who died in a convertible, a mystery that remains unsolved to this day.

Kevin's dark complexion was as white as paper, his lips were even paler, and his body was trembling uncontrollably.

Raine turned to look at Zhang Tuan.

"Mr. Zhang, would you like to do it yourself?"

Zhang Tuan remained silent, but a hint of reluctance and longing flickered in his eyes.

Renn shook his head, disappointed. Even now, this man was still developing feelings for a woman.

However, this was someone else's family matter, and he didn't interfere.

So, in front of Catherine, Raine pointed his finger, and green energy surged out, converging into a beam that struck the woman lying on the ground.

She didn't even have time to scream before she turned into a cloud of white ashes.

Dissociation Technique

Raine gave her a relatively merciful death, without any pain; she was turned to dust the instant the spell struck.

Next up is Kevin.

"No...don't kill me! I can tell you about Murphy, I—aha!!"

Before he could finish speaking, a black line formed on his forehead and then quickly spread.

As the black lines spread across his entire body, Kevin withered and rotted like a dead tree.

Zhang Tuan began to gradually dissipate at this point.
