Although Stuart's initial task for West was to capture unicorns, those gentlemen who favored virgins and liked to use their head-shaped clubs to approach the grass around a virgin's private parts had been living in the Forbidden Forest for who knows how long—they were practically natives. As soon as West, this outsider, entered the Forbidden Forest, other natives notified these club-headed fellows, "[A dangerous fellow with a head on his butt has arrived recently; everyone better stay out of the way.]"

These Korean idiots, who only dared to approach virgins and were usually more afraid of death than anyone else, hid the moment they heard the news. Although their strength was comparable to that of a dragon, their rabbit-like cowardice meant that they would rather run than fight unless they were completely cornered, even if the enemy was far weaker than them.

The stick-headed creatures, familiar with the Forbidden Forest, deliberately hid, and even West, with his keen sense of smell, couldn't find them. After a full week of searching without finding the unicorn, West had no choice but to have Papyrus inform Stuart.

Having heard that West hadn't found a target for a week, Stuart roughly guessed what was going on. Unicorns are timid and gentle, and will never clash with other animals unless their lives are threatened. Such harmless animals are naturally not bothered by other animals in case of danger. But the incredibly smelly trolls and the incredibly grumpy hippogriffs—these unwelcome neighbors—naturally wouldn't be notified.

Having figured these things out, Stuart naturally shifted his focus to the hippogriff. And his guess proved correct; three days after Stuart re-ordered West to capture the hippogriff, Pippy brought news of a successful hunt.

Calling Blanche, who was staring at him with a manic rage again, Stuart rushed to the Forbidden Forest. At the edge of the forest, West was already waiting in the bushes, dragging a captured hippogriff. Seeing Stuart, the loyal dog leaped out of the bushes and jumped on him joyfully, its soft tongue licking his face, and its cold snake head coiling around his waist. Only the ant-headed creature, afraid of hurting Stuart, simply swayed gently in place.

Just as West had finally had his fill of licking and was about to knock Blanche unconscious, as Stuart had ordered, Stuart finally raised his hand to stop him.

After giving himself a thorough cleaning and enjoying a molting-like experience, Stuart began to explain.

"Snap out of it, senior. You look like a stallion in heat seeing a mare. Let me introduce you. This is West, who will likely be your senior in the future. West, you don't need to know who she is. Just remember, don't attack her without my orders. Alright, now let me see your prey."

Pushing aside the pile of bushes, a hippogriff lay there, its limbs and wings broken. Judging from the wounds, these parts weren't bitten off, but rather severed by claws. Looking at these wounds, Stuart's eyes flashed with surprise. West's modifications hadn't strengthened its limbs; with his original hound limbs, it would have been impossible for him to break the strong hippogriff. The only part of his body imbued with such power was that ant-like head.

But these wounds, clearly inflicted by claws, clearly tell Stuart one thing: [a portion of West's bloodline has awakened, greatly enhancing his power]. Having reached this conclusion, and considering the actions of the snake and ant heads earlier, which were clearly beyond West's control, it's highly likely that new souls have been conceived within these heads whose souls had been erased.

The hippogriff looked at Stuart with pleading eyes. Seemingly because of a throat injury, it opened its mouth in vain, unable to utter a single cry. But Stuart, lost in thought, paid no attention to it. Meanwhile, Blanche, finally snapping out of her reverie at seeing West, burst into laughter upon seeing the pleading in the hippogriff's eyes—a laugh filled with pleasure and excitement.

"You were right to choose Stuart. The book says that Hippogriffs are grumpy and stubborn, and that they would rather die than let anyone ride on their backs unless you bowed down to them and gained their approval. But look at him, look at his eyes, he's clearly saying, 'I'll do anything for you if you spare me.' All that arrogance, stubbornness, and grumpyness is a lie. You can't truly understand magical creatures unless you see them for yourself."

Startled awake by Blanche's laughter, Stuart raised an eyebrow, his eyes filled with a hint of mockery.

"Your current behavior doesn't seem to match what you said about liking magical creatures. If you really liked them, shouldn't you be loudly condemning me and blaming my creation for hurting this hippogriff?"

Blanche looked at Stuart in surprise, as if he had asked some idiotic question, and asked in return...

"Who says liking magical creatures means liking them alive and whole? I prefer dismembered corpses, where you can see their internal structure, to living creatures whose appearance you can only see."

With a noncommittal smile, Stuart took out his wand and unleashed a dozen or so Shrink Rays onto the hippogriff, shrinking it to the size of a palm. After putting the miniature hippogriff into his pocket, Stuart patted West's head. Unlike before, when he only patted the dog's head, this time he stroked all three heads. The obvious excitement on the snake and ant heads confirmed Stuart's earlier suspicion: new souls were indeed being conceived within those two heads.

"Alright, West, you've completed your mission, so feel free to do whatever you want for now. I'll come find you in the Forbidden Forest when there are new missions."

After bidding farewell to West and Pippie, Stuart and Blanche headed towards the castle. All the way, Blanche kept her eyes glued to Stuart's hippocampus pocket with excited intent. Of course, given the pocket's location, to an unsuspecting observer, this girl, previously known for her gentleness, was now staring intently at her male companion's crotch.

Chapter Twenty-Seven: Heart-Piercing Bone-Cutting

Blanche had always been curious about one thing: how did Stuart conduct his experiments at school? Where did he conduct them? In an abandoned old classroom? Or in a secret, unknown room? But after seeing Stuart's laboratory, she realized her thinking was too rigid. Stuart had actually dug a secret room as his laboratory in a collapsed, abandoned passageway.

When Blanche, utterly astonished, asked Stuart, "Junior, how did you manage to do something so amazing?" he pointed to a large pile of bones in the corner and calmly explained...

"Disposable products, modified rats. By blocking the brain's restriction on the muscles, the strength is amplified; by pressing on specific locations in the brain, a continuous digging instruction is given, while the fatigue sensation mechanism is cut off, so they can dig until they die. It's a very simple trick."

Upon hearing that the creature unearthed from the lab was an ordinary rat, not a magical creature, Blanche turned away, her interest waning, to examine the lab more closely. Stuart, unconcerned by her reaction, placed the hippogriff from his pocket onto the experimental table, enlarged it, and began the initial treatment.

Blanche excitedly leaned closer, looking at the enormous monster, stroking its broken wing, and muttering to itself.

"Although what just happened taught me that what's written in books isn't always true, it's still really amazing, isn't it? The book says it can fly from one side of the Earth to the other. Oh, let me see here."

As he spoke, Blanche reached out and pried open the hippogriff's two hind legs, examining them closely, and became even more excited.

"Oh, that's wonderful! This is a female hippogriff. According to records, their nests are built on the ground, and when it's time to breed, the female lays a large, fragile egg inside. Yes, only one. To date, no hippogriff has been found to lay two eggs at once. This egg hatches within twenty-four hours, which is very fast. The newly hatched chicks can try to fly in just one week, much faster than ordinary chicks."

"First, I hope that while you're speaking, you can put down that harpy's hind leg and stop staring at it like a pervert. Second, if you continue rambling on and interfere with my treatment, causing my test subject to die, I'll tie you to the lab table, spread your legs, and check your gender."

Pushing up his glasses, Stuart stared coldly at Blanche, his eyes devoid of any emotion. Although he didn't know why he was acting this way, Blanche, who had been blushing slightly from the "spread your legs" instruction, trembled violently upon seeing that inhuman gaze and obediently moved aside from the experimental table.

Seeing Blanche step aside, Stuart remained silent, focusing solely on healing the nearly dead hippogriff. As its wounds gradually healed, the deathly light faded from the hippogriff's eyes, and its clarity returned. Sensing that its limbs and left wing were now healed, a cruel glint flashed in the hippogriff's eyes, clearly indicating ill intent. In fact, hippogriffs are inherently ferocious carnivores; they only begin to eat insects they previously disdained after being domesticated.

The moment it felt its right wing healed, the hippogriff lunged forward, its sharp beak aimed at Stuart's head. Given the foe's sharpness, if it were to touch Stuart's skull, it would likely pierce his skull as easily as tearing through a piece of paper. However, faced with this perilous situation, neither Blanche nor Stuart showed any sign of panic. Blanche even looked at the hippogriff as if it were a fool.

"Extremely painful and agonizing."

Stuart's emotionless voice echoed in the laboratory, and like a relay race, the moment his voice fell, a piercing cry rang out from the hippogriff. In an instant, the powerful carnivore was struck down by the specially enhanced Cruciatus Curse, the excruciating pain rendering it unable to even struggle.

However, when faced with a creature that wanted his life, regardless of whether it was human or not, Stuart would not let it go easily, especially since test subjects needed to be obedient to be used. So, in the next moment, several blood-red beams of light shot out from the tip of Stuart's wand. This time, the harpy-faced creature that had tried to attack Stuart could not even utter a scream, and could only gasp in pain.

Stuart remained expressionless, while Blanche wore a broad smile, but neither of them seemed inclined to lift the spell on the hippogriff; they simply watched silently. As time ticked by, the hippogriff visibly grew more and more tormented, even rolling its eyes back. Only then did Stuart cease the incantation.

"Stand up."

The emotionless voice rang out again, and fear flashed in the hippogriff's eyes. It tried to roll over and stand up, but the intense pain had rendered its limbs powerless, and its body, which had only managed to prop itself up halfway, crashed heavily to the ground with a dull thud. However, the hippogriff, whose thoughts had been replaced by fear, dared not rest and tried to get up again.

Finally, after its seventh fall, it regained some strength and managed to stand up, albeit shakily. Nodding in satisfaction, Stuart stepped forward and gently stroked the hippogriff's wings. His voice remained cold, but now held a hint of contentment.

"Not bad!"

As Stuart approached, the fear in the hippogriff's eyes intensified. It wanted to retreat but dared not, and could only stand frozen in place. When Stuart's hand rested on its wing, the hippogriff began to tremble violently, but when it felt the uncomfortable yet gentle caress on its wing, the fear in its eyes miraculously vanished.

Stuart, having observed the look in the hippogriff's eyes, revealed a satisfied expression. He withdrew his hand, walked to the experimental table, and said coldly...

"come over."

The harpy beast moved its feeble limbs with difficulty, stumbling towards the testing table. However, the emotion supporting its actions was no longer fear, but determination.

Hearing footsteps behind him, Stuart's lips curled into a smile. The first experiment was complete. It proved that even non-human magical creatures with a certain level of intelligence could suffer from Stockholm Syndrome, which was undoubtedly a very good method for taming magical creatures.

"Alright, let's begin the experiment. Senior, who's standing there like an idiot acting as a street lamp, are you waiting for me to spread your long, fair legs, which look like they could be good fodder, instead of coming to help?"

"Don't be so cold and show your lack of decency. You look so serious right now, like you're about to pounce on me and take my legs off and carry me away."

Under that piercingly cold gaze, Blanche sensed the danger and rushed to the experimental table.

"Tell me, what do you want me to do? Don't underestimate me, I can do anything."

Stuart pushed up his glasses and gave a cold laugh.

"Is that so? Then take off your clothes and lie down on the experimental table."

"Okay, no problem. Did you think I would say that? Who would strip naked? Who would lie on that dangerous-looking experimental table?"

Seeing Blanche's flushed face, Stuart scoffed disdainfully, pointed at the testing table, and turned to the hippogriff in a cold voice.

"You, lie down on top of it."

Reality cruelly tells Blanche that the Hippogriffs will...

PS1: Although I think most people know about Stockholm Syndrome, I'll explain it for those who don't. By the way, the main text is over 2200 words, so don't worry about it being padded. Stockholm Syndrome refers to a condition where, in a confined space where communication with others is impossible, and the victim genuinely feels their life is threatened, even a small act of kindness from the perpetrator—like a bottle of water or a towel—can lead the victim to develop a strong sense of admiration and identification with the perpetrator. In real-world bank robbery cases, the hostages who help the criminals escape are often patients with this mental illness.

I tried my hand at being cruel and sarcastic; I don't know how well it turned out.

Chapter Twenty-Eight: I'm Going to Find a Friend

"Senior, it's common knowledge that being bitten by a werewolf will turn you into one. But have you ever considered Muggles? Can Muggles also turn into werewolves if they get bitten?"

Although he was talking to Blanche, it didn't stop Stuart from his experiment. He accurately dripped three drops of eagle eyeball fluid into a test tube, watching it slowly mix with the freshly collected hawkblood blood, turning into a light pink color.

With her left hand, Blanche handed Stuart the Lion's Tears she would be using, and with her right hand, she lightly touched her lips. She tilted her head in confusion, a thoughtful expression on her face. Although she didn't know why Stuart would suddenly ask such an unrelated question, she found the answer in her own mind.

"I don't know. There's no record of Muggles being bitten by werewolves in any of the information. But even if a Muggle is bitten by a werewolf, they'll probably turn into a werewolf, right?"

Two drops of lion's tears were dripped into the test tube. The pink liquid, upon contact with the lion's tears, churned and bubbled as if boiling water. Watching the churning liquid, Stuart nodded in satisfaction.

"It seems you haven't been paying attention to this kind of information. In fact, no Muggle can become a werewolf, and all Muggles bitten by werewolves die, even if they are only bitten on the hand."

"Huh? How could this be? I don't understand. Since you're asking me, you must have the answer, right? Tell me, tell me."

Blanche deftly handed the blue-tongued lizard's bile to Stuart, and asked with great interest,

Watching the liquid mixed in the test tube calm down and turn a brilliant blue after the bile was added, a slight smile appeared on Stuart's face.

"I wouldn't say I know the answer, just have some guesses. Wizards still don't know how the first wizard came to be, so they can only propose various hypotheses. One of the mainstream hypotheses suggests that initially, humans couldn't use magic, but under certain circumstances, a small number of humans acquired the bloodline of magical creatures. This could be a beautiful human-animal romance, a cruel human-animal rape, or some kind of surgery. Oh, stop listening and give me the wildebeest's hoof blood."

He dripped the dark blood into the test tube, watched with satisfaction as the expected reaction occurred, and continued his story.

"This small group of people, having acquired the blood of magical creatures, have become different from ordinary people. They can manipulate supernatural powers, and they call themselves wizards. My speculation about werewolves is based on this hypothesis. Give me the pollen from the Resurrection Plant."

I speculate that those who initially acquired the bloodlines of magical creatures received different bloodlines. The ancestors of werewolves undoubtedly received the bloodline of a powerful wolf-like magical creature. While other magical creature bloodlines remain dormant after entering the human body, without manifesting any physical differences, this wolf-like bloodline is exceptionally active, reaching its peak activity, especially on the night of a full moon, at which point the person transforms into a wolf.

The wolf's bloodline ability is assimilation, the ability to assimilate the bloodlines of other magical creatures into its own. When a werewolf transforms into a wolf, the activity of its magical creature bloodline increases, and this normally dormant assimilation ability manifests. When a wizard is bitten by a werewolf, the werewolf's bloodline will devour and assimilate a significantly stronger magical creature bloodline, thus preserving the human bloodline. However, Muggles are different; they do not possess magical creature bloodlines. Therefore, the werewolf's bloodline devours and assimilates human blood, and without the human bloodline that forms the foundation of their existence, they naturally die.

Stuart took the last ingredient from Blanche: the bone marrow of an African lion-man. As the white marrow dripped into the test tube, the originally purple liquid turned as black as ink. The smile on Stuart's face vanished instantly, replaced by a icy expression.

"The 74th failure. The experimental materials are almost used up."

Seemingly oblivious to Stuart's grim expression, Blanche accurately reported the results of the experiment and the predicament the two were facing: a lack of experimental materials. Even with Stuart's father's funding, funds were not lacking, but some experimental materials were not commonly found on the market, and even with money, they could not be acquired in large quantities, such as wildebeest hoof blood.

Although he created many powerful monsters using methods such as organ splicing and bloodline fusion, Stuart never forgot his original purpose in coming here: to collect the bloodlines of magical creatures and then reverse-engineer their ancestors, the bloodlines of those powerful, authoritative beings. The Hippogriff was Stuart's first research subject in this regard.

Although griffins are far weaker than powerful creatures, they are still sufficient for atavistic experiments. Stuart is currently attempting to recreate the bloodline of his ancestor, the griffin, through the bloodline of a hippogriff. However, just as happened earlier, a month has passed since he captured the hippogriff and began his experiments, and every attempt has ended in failure.

Pushing up his glasses, Stuart calmly put down the instrument in his hand. Although he had heard Blanche's words, his expression remained unchanged. After all, when Stuart first started experimenting as a child, all his experiments in the first year ended in failure. A month of failure was not enough to make him feel frustrated or upset.

Although he maintained a positive attitude, the reality of insufficient experimental materials confronted him, clearly telling him, "This experiment cannot be succeeded by simply increasing quantity; you must design a better experimental plan or change to more suitable experimental materials."

"It seems that to solve the problem of atavism, these bloodlines with insufficient activity are not of great research value. We need experimental materials with higher bloodline activity, such as werewolves."

"Huh? Are we going to use humans for experiments?"

Before Stuart could finish speaking, Blanche voiced her dissatisfaction. It wasn't because of some uninteresting reason like "using humans as experimental subjects is inhumane," but simply because this woman was only interested in magical creatures, and humans, in her eyes, were "useless objects" with no research value.

"Don't look so bored. Believe me, I don't enjoy studying unremarkable humans either, but this is like a foundation. Only by finding a way to revert to our ancestral ways through werewolves can we continue our current experiments."

"Alright, alright, Stuart, you're always right. We'll do it your way. But first, tell me what you're going to do. Aren't you going to continue the experiment?"

After changing out of his lab coat into his usual robe, Stuart's lips curled into a cold smile as he pushed open the lab door and walked out.

"Yes, the experiment is on hold. I'm going to find a friend, a Gryffindor friend."

Chapter Twenty-Nine: The Mythical Beasts You've All Been Talking About (Bonus Chapter)

In the legends of various countries, there exist powerful and mysterious creatures, some capable of flying through the air and disappearing into the earth, others of breathing flames, and still others of traveling a thousand miles in an instant. And these mysterious creatures naturally inhabit extraordinary places: dragons slumber deep within volcanoes, phoenixes traverse between the earth and the Temple of the Sun, and elves live in seclusion in the distant land of elves.

Legend has it that in the land of elves, unicorns roam the jungles, tree-people walk among the trees, and even King Arthur resided there, while the elves ruled this perfect kingdom. Here, all good things begin.

But few know that there exists here a creature comparable to the elves, as beautiful and powerful as they are, only unknown to the world due to their rarity. Indeed, their numbers are even fewer than those of the rare elves. However, while elves are rare due to their weak reproductive drive and low fertility, these creatures are rare because of their extremely high standards for choosing a mate.

Because of their extremely high and stringent mate selection criteria, these creatures generally cannot find a suitable mate by the end of their lives. However, their pride makes them prefer to die alone rather than spend their lives with a member of the opposite sex who does not meet their standards. And it is precisely this pride that gives them another habit: as long as they find a creature that meets their mate selection criteria, they will take advantage of it regardless of the other person's wishes, thus creating a fait accompli.
