Peter quickly pulled his head back, his heart pounding, unsure whether it was nervousness or some other emotion.

"I didn't see anything, but I thought there was a bird outside just now, a rather unusual species," Peter said awkwardly.

Upon hearing this explanation, Michelle shifted to the side. Bird? There's no bird in the plane's current position. Couldn't you come up with a better excuse for lying?

Sensing Michelle's resistance, Peter obediently sat down, fearing that any further trouble would backfire.

The rest of the journey became much calmer, and nothing noteworthy happened until the plane landed.

Meanwhile, Nick Fury personally led a team of elite agents, who, following Baker's confession, raided several hidden strongholds of the anti-Stark organization.

Every single scientist involved was arrested by Nick Fury. These guys were utterly unprofessional when it came to crime; after Baker was caught, they actually took a chance and hid in these 100% exposed hideouts.

It's unclear whether the belief was in Beck's adaptability or in his willpower.

"Where are the books?!" Nick Fury rummaged through the various items he had found, then pointed to a guy crouching against the wall with his head in his hands and asked.

"What book?" The man subconsciously tried to stand up, but before he could move his leg, the agent next to him pressed him back down.

“The book that inspired you, the Elementals,” Nick Fury said, observing everyone’s expressions.

Just as he asked the question, one of the men squatting in a row lowered his head. Nick Fury immediately went over and lifted him up.

"It's him! He definitely knows! He's in charge of modeling!" someone shouted, and the agent next to him immediately slapped him.

“Where? You only have one chance.” Nick Fury stared into the man’s eyes, applying increasing pressure.

Even if he doesn't say anything, Nick Fury can still get a lot of information. After all, these people haven't received special counter-interrogation training, and sometimes their subconscious actions can reveal their thoughts.

"It was lost a long time ago, and there's no real data in it," the man said weakly, his voice very low.

Indeed, for them, the book had no other significance than providing the story of the very niche elementalists.

Nick Fury really wanted to laugh. In the years he was gone, he had truly been forgotten by the world. Now, anyone could lie to him.

Reaching out to straighten the man's clothes, Nick Fury patted his cheek. "I hope you can hold on a little longer."

"Take him away and let him know why he shouldn't lie to the agents," Nick Fury said, beckoning to the agent beside him.

The moment the agent's hand touched the man's body, he immediately collapsed, stammering, "I'll talk, I'll talk! I didn't throw it away, I sold it!"

“Go on.”

“I sold it to Tony Stark’s driver and bodyguard, Happy, as an antique book. I sent it to him two weeks ago!”

"Check if what he said is true," Nick Fury said to his subordinates. He had all the relevant traces that these people had left on the internet in recent years, which he had read directly from various databases.

A few minutes later, a delivery record and some chat logs were placed in front of Nick Fury. The guy was indeed no longer lying. He had fabricated a story and successfully sold the book he bought for less than five dollars to Happy for one hundred thousand dollars.

Happy...

Nick Fury tapped his fingers twice on the back of his hand. As Tony Stark's abilities and prestige grew, Happy, the old man who had always followed him, received better and better treatment and received higher and higher ratings within Stark Industries. Moreover, although Tony was no longer on Earth, Pepper was still there.

With these two factors combined, Nick Fury really couldn't do anything about Happy, this little bodyguard. S.H.I.E.L.D. was gone, his current identity was not recognized by many countries, and he had virtually no funding. Unlike Happy, who had Pepper backing him up, social status, a high-ranking position, and plenty of money.

After much deliberation, Nick Fury reluctantly sent the relevant information to Jess. He had originally wanted to get his hands on the book, and it would have been even better if it contained a method to control the elementals, which could be used to balance the current strength of the Human Alliance.

Despite the fact that Zhao Ling'er and her two companions haven't done anything wrong since arriving in this world, and their attitude couldn't be more positive, Nick Fury doesn't trust them at all. For him, their current cooperation is merely a last resort.

In New York, Zhao Ling'er, who had been following Michelle after getting off the plane, received a forwarded message from Jess. After hesitating for a moment, she forwarded the relevant information again, telling Thor to go see Happy after dealing with his opponent, since they knew each other and it would be easier to communicate.

After finishing these tasks, Zhao Ling'er continued to follow Michelle. Michelle no longer had any real memories of the latter half of yesterday, and was now living her normal life.

Her life was similar to that of any other girl her age, and much healthier than most. She went home after getting off the plane, took a shower, ate a meal, and then lay down on the bed with a book. And that was how the day went.

The next morning, Michelle's biological clock rang on time, waking her from her sleep. After tidying herself up, Michelle changed her clothes and prepared to go out.

While Michelle was preparing, Zhao Ling'er kept her eyes on the direction of the wand, but Michelle did not reach for the wand when she was about to leave.

With a thud, Zhao Ling'er tossed out a spirit pearl, and then used the spirit pearl as a vessel to create a clone.

Zhao Ling'er left her clone in Michelle's room, while her real body followed Michelle out the door.

A few minutes later, based on the direction, Zhao Ling'er realized that Michelle was heading to school.

But they've already graduated, and this trip is their graduation ceremony. They've all graduated, so why are they going back to school?

The school…Hogwarts…Dumbledore!

Zhao Ling'er immediately realized that it was quite normal for Dumbledore, as the headmaster of Hogwarts School, to set up backup plans and magical arrays within the school.

So, after creating a clone using the same trick again, Zhao Ling'er rushed to Michelle's school first.

After exploring all the floors, Zhao Ling'er could only reluctantly admit that her strength was still somewhat inferior to Dumbledore's.

Soon, Michelle walked into the school. The moment she stepped through the gate, Zhao Ling'er clearly felt a slight change in Michelle's aura, but the change was so subtle that most people would not be able to sense it.

However, Zhao Ling'er still didn't feel anything special about the school.

It wasn't until Zhao Ling'er followed Michelle into a small room in the gymnasium that she truly confirmed the existence of the magic circle, and that it was right beneath her feet.

At the same time, Zhao Ling'er could also confirm one thing: Dumbledore was almost certainly already a legend.

Michelle took a training wand from a small box in the room and then waved it in the air as usual.

Then, he stopped abruptly and turned to face the spot where Zhao Ling'er was hiding.

"Who! Come out!" Michelle shouted, pointing at Zhao Ling'er. Streams of magic shot out from the tip of her wand and wrapped around Michelle.

At the same time, all the items in the room came to life, surrounding Zhao Ling'er.

From Chapter 378 onwards, we'll each discuss our own issues.

Pointed at by Michelle's wand, Zhao Ling'er did not immediately appear. The level difference between her and Michelle was too great to be bridged by this magic array or magic workshop.

Michelle waved her wand forcefully, and the animated statues began to move. However, none of them were able to lock onto Zhao Ling'er, who was in an invisible state. They could only bump around aimlessly like headless flies.

One, two, three... seven stone pillars, and fire crabs hidden in various corners of the room. How did Dumbledore set these things up here?

Zhao Ling'er was full of questions. Although the new clues she obtained after coming to this world proved that Dumbledore's condition was not as bad as she had initially imagined, Dumbledore's main body must have been locked onto by Dracula and his group. Otherwise, he could have simply returned to the Human Alliance, gathered his forces, and attacked again without having to hide like this.

So, where did Dumbledore get all these summoned creatures?

While Zhao Ling'er was wondering, Michelle took two steps back, and a phoenix engulfed in flames rushed out of the wardrobe, circling around Michelle. The spatial fluctuations continued to increase, indicating that Michelle was preparing to forcibly teleport away.

Seeing this, Zhao Ling'er set up a spatial blockade while simultaneously dispelling her invisibility spell.

The moment Michelle saw Zhao Ling'er, the lock on her memory was unlocked once again, and that sealed memory was read anew by her brain.

“Vice Principal Zhao?” Michelle asked tentatively.

Zhao Ling'er nodded. "I'm sorry for following you all this way, but if I hadn't done that, it might not have appeared so easily."

Michelle sighed, hesitated, and finally waved her hand, disarming the defensive position.

The stone pillars squeezed next to Zhao Ling'er took two steps back, then the sword tip pointed downwards and returned to dormancy. The restless fire crab also jumped, then retreated into its shell, revealing its glittering gem.

"Fox?" Zhao Ling'er called out to the little phoenix.

The phoenix breathed fire at Zhao Ling'er, then landed on Michelle's head, ignoring her.

It seems not. Zhao Ling'er shifted her gaze away from the phoenix. At first, she thought that Dumbledore had brought Fawkes from another world.

After looking around the room, Zhao Ling'er's gaze settled on an open book. Although the gymnasium had been enchanted with an extension spell, the space was still not very large, and you could see the end of it at a glance. The only thing that seemed to require attention was that book that was shimmering with magical light.

"That's a magic book my teacher left me. After he left, I taught myself using it."

As Michelle spoke, she stretched out her hand in that direction, and the spellbook flew over and landed in her hand. After detecting the magic power that Michelle had input, some pages of the book lit up, which meant that the spells recorded on those pages were now available to Michelle.

"May I take a look?" Zhao Ling'er asked. She could sense the power contained within the book, which should have more than just teaching functions.

“Hmm.” Michelle closed the spellbook and handed it over.

The pure spiritual energy flowed into the magic book through Zhao Ling'er's palm, and the pages that had been flickering suddenly stopped, as if a computer overwhelmed by a large amount of data had frozen.

A few seconds later, the magic book snapped shut, and then a phantom emerged from it.

"Teacher?!" Michelle exclaimed in surprise.

“Michelle, well done.” Dumbledore’s phantom nodded in response, then looked at Zhao Ling’er, “I didn’t expect it to be you. Didn’t Li Xiaoyao come with you?”

"The exchange meeting is about to start, he has a lot of things to take care of, no... that's not important, where are you?" Zhao Ling'er realized something was wrong halfway through her explanation and steered the conversation back on track.

"I don't know," the phantom said readily. "I'm just a phantom created by magic. You can think of me as a computer that stores some knowledge and memories. How could I possibly know the location of the creator? Besides, if there were any connection between me and him, wouldn't the supergiant have discovered me long ago?"

"Only one Supergiant?" Zhao Ling'er asked immediately. She wasn't surprised that Supergiant, one of the Black Order, appeared in this universe. Thanos only had a handful of loyal legends under his command.

Ebony Maw recklessly sent himself to his doom. Black Dwarf is probably not fully recovered from the Chitauri War yet. As for Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight, they are good at fighting, but they are far inferior in tracking.

"I don't know, you can ask Karma for details."

"You've already seen Karma?! Where is she? Why did she take all the Avengers heroes away from Earth?" Zhao Ling'er asked in a series of questions.

"I don't know," the phantom said with a wicked sense of humor, a phrase that had practically become his catchphrase.

Zhao Ling'er almost choked on her breath. This Dumbledore, even setting up a phantom is so wicked, he's such a childish old man.

"It was only when the main body was fleeing that it sensed a legendary-level battle, and then the main body guessed that it was Master Karma," the phantom added.

"You don't need to ask anymore. I don't know much. The main body didn't have much time to create me. It only stayed on Earth for a few minutes before leaving immediately."

"According to the information he left behind, there is an important item on Earth that you need to get your hands on first, which is the Book of Elemental Interpretation. Actually, he originally wanted to get it himself, but the Superstar was following too closely, and he didn't have time, so he had to choose to leave first."

The Book of Elemental Interpretation? This is clearly a name that someone who's terrible at naming things came up with. It's most likely a book that leaked from the Ancient One's library.

"When did he come to Earth?" Zhao Ling'er asked immediately.

The phantom thought for a long time, then shook its head. "I couldn't find any relevant information, but the creation time recorded in my magic core is nine months ago."

"Nine months ago?!" Michelle couldn't believe the time she heard; she had been using this magician's book for almost five years.

"Haha, don't doubt your hearing. Your usage records in the core are indeed five years long," the illusory figure said with a smile. His attitude towards Michelle, his student, was completely different from that towards Zhao Ling'er.

"This involves changes in the timeline and the characteristics of the legendary level. I'll explain it to you when everything is resolved and we have time," Zhao Ling'er added.

As she spoke, Zhao Ling'er connected several known time points in her mind. A year ago, the Avengers and Karma came to this world with the Infinity Stones and undoed Thanos' snap. A little over a month later, the Avengers left Earth together for some reason. About three months later, Dumbledore created the spellbook on Earth. About two months ago, Baker's plan was officially implemented, and the fake Elementals appeared on Earth.

From this limited information, we can only deduce that the Avengers' departure from Earth is most likely unrelated to Dumbledore's limited escape, and nothing else can be deduced.

After thinking it over, Zhao Ling'er looked up at the phantom that was teaching Michelle how to use spells. This was also a question. Did Dumbledore really go to all that trouble to come to Earth and create this spellbook just to give a hint?

But if that's not the case, then the information Dumbledore left behind in the phantom is far too little.

Forget it! Thinking about it won't help. I should find that book first. Happy is in New York now. Finding him is much easier than deducing the truth from this limited information.

Zhao Ling'er sent Thor a message, and Thor replied quickly. He hadn't arrived in New York yet; he had just finished cleaning up the battlefield a minute ago. The Wind Golem was no match for the Water Elemental in terms of being troublesome, but this guy actually had a Deathrattle!
