"I'll treat you to something, something you've never eaten before, something I learned from Muggles!"

After Wentworth finished speaking, he hurriedly ran back to his dormitory. Cedric then saw Wentworth come out carrying a crucible, place it on the charcoal, and add water.

"Could you please help me light the charcoal?"

Wentworth spoke to the house-elf who was also watching with wide eyes and curiosity.

One of the house-elves snapped its fingers, and the charcoal burst into flames.

Then Wentworth got back to work, adding all sorts of strange things to the small bowls every now and then, stirring them occasionally.

"You want to make me a potion of magic potion?"

Cedric looked at the busy Wentworth and couldn't help but wonder.

"Potion? No, in the Muggle world, this is called hot pot!"

Wentworth answered without looking up, while occasionally placing mushroom-like objects into the crucible.

Soon, the water in the crucible boiled, and at the same time, Wentworth finally stopped what he was doing, turned around, and placed the four small bowls in front of Cedric one by one.

"This is called hot pot. It involves putting various ingredients into boiling water. Of course, this isn't ordinary boiling water. I've added a lot of things to it. In the Muggle world, this is generally called the broth."

"After that, you choose some of your favorite ingredients, cook them in the broth, dip them in some special sauce, and take a bite—it's absolutely satisfying!"

Seeing that Cedric still looked confused, Wentworth didn't mind and pointed to the four small bowls in front of Cedric, saying:

"I've prepared four different dipping sauces: sesame sauce, chili sauce, oil sauce, and seafood sauce. Which one do you like?"

Cedric thought for a moment, then pointed to a bowl of bright red seasoning and said:

"Then I'll have the chili one, I like the spicy feeling."

Wentworth pursed his lips, handed the chili sauce to Cedric, and muttered to himself:

"Sesame paste and hot pot are a perfect match; everything else is heresy!"

Then, Wentworth took out a full plate of meat rolls from behind him, put the meat rolls into the crucible, and stirred them gently.

Just then, a house-elf from Hogwarts stepped forward and spoke:

"Gentlemen, would you like something to drink? How about some sherry juice soda?"

Wentworth thought for a moment, then asked:

Do you have butterbeer?

Soon, the crucible, which had calmed down after the meat was added, began to boil again. Wentworth and Cedric quickly scooped out the meat and placed it on the plates in front of them.

"cheers!"

The two cheered and took a sip of the fruit syrup prepared by the house-elf. As for the butterbeer, the house-elf politely declined because Hogwarts forbids students from drinking alcohol.

At first, Cedric seemed somewhat resistant as he looked at the meat cooked in a crucible on his plate.

"Don't worry, this crucible is new, I haven't used it yet! Try it quickly, and remember to clean the crucible with a cleansing spell at the end, okay? I don't know how to use a cleansing spell."

Perhaps because he was too embarrassed to refuse Wentworth's invitation, or perhaps because he couldn't resist the temptation of Wentworth's hearty meal, Cedric closed his eyes, opened his mouth, and finally put the slice of meat into his mouth.

Then, Cedric's eyes widened suddenly, and they lit up.

"Hey, leave some for me!"

Wentworth feigned displeasure as he watched Cedric scoop all the meat slices from the crucible.

"Is there any more? Could you add some more?"

Cedric's mouth was full of meat slices, and he stammered.

Seeing this, Wentworth smiled and took out some other ingredients from behind him.

Cedric looked at Wentworth with surprise, picked up a gray, rag-like object, put it into the boiling crucible, and quickly scooped it out. After repeating this several times, he finally dipped it in the seasoning and put it in his mouth.

"What are you eating? Do you need to hold a ceremony for it?"

Wentworth, however, replied with a satisfied expression:

"This is a mysterious ritual I learned from the mysterious East. The seven ups and eight downs can make the ingredients more delicious."

Cedric nodded as if he understood, and followed Wentworth's actions, picking up a piece, moving it up and down a few times, and then putting it in his mouth.

"Wow! Is this what Muggles eat? It's so delicious!"

While surprised, Cedric picked up another piece without stopping and put it into the crucible.

"Don't always eat meat, eat some vegetables to cut through the greasiness."

Wentworth offered some advice from the side.

"If you find it greasy, eat more vegetables. Give me the meat; I'm not afraid of greasy food."

Cedric said without looking up.

Wentworth stared at Cedric in shock upon hearing his reply, never expecting such shameless words to come from Cedric's mouth.

In his previous life, Wentworth always had a question: Cedric, as the Hogwarts champion chosen by the House Cup, was the most outstanding student at Hogwarts at that time, apart from Harry Potter who was overshadowed by the protagonist's halo. He was undoubtedly the academic superstar.

By all accounts, Cedric seems more suited to Ravenclaw, so why was he assigned to Hufflepuff?

Seeing Cedric enjoying his meal, Wentworth couldn't help but sigh, "At Hogwarts, there are only wrong rooms, not wrong students."

Chapter Twenty-One: The Unexpected Prefect

Afterwards, Wentworth, without a second thought, immediately started fighting with Cedric for the meat in the crucible. It wasn't that Wentworth was stingy, but hot pot tastes better when everyone fights over it!

Just as the two were chatting and laughing, enjoying their meal, the door to Hufflepuff's common room opened, and a figure rushed in.

"My God, such thick smoke? Is there a fire?!"

Although Cedric occasionally used a few small spells to dispel the smoke in the room, the steaming hotpot still filled the Hufflepuff common room with mist, so much so that Wentworth and Cedric couldn't immediately see who had entered.

"You two, are you taking some kind of magic potion?!"

When the visitor approached, he was startled by Wentworth and Cedric surrounding the crucible. The crucible in front of the two was full of something that was boiling, and Cedric was even red-faced and sweating profusely.

Cedric and Wentworth then realized that the visitor was none other than Green, the fifth-year prefect of Hufflepuff.

"Cedric, are you alright? Are you feeling unwell? You two are being ridiculous! If you're not feeling well, you should go see Madam Pomfrey. You're both too young to be making potions like this!!"

Seeing Green's slight smirk, Cedric and Wentworth exchanged a glance and burst into laughter, leaving Green somewhat bewildered.

"Prefect, why did you suddenly come back? Have you already eaten?"

Wentworth pulled over a chair, and Cedric gestured for Green to sit down, then asked.

At this moment, Green, realizing that he seemed to have misunderstood, sat down and said:

"Don't even mention it. Those Weasley twins, I don't know where they got their hands on that weird walking ball, and it got my clothes all dirty. I came back to change. What's going on with you two?"

Green looked at the two people in front of him, occasionally twitching his nose, his face full of curiosity.

Wentworth quickly placed a previously prepared sauce in front of Green, while Cedric hurriedly scooped some slices of meat and vegetables from the crucible and placed them in front of Green.

"Come on, senior Green, there's a share. Would you like to try some?"

Green said with a look of horror:

"Are you really taking some kind of magic potion?!"

Cedric quickly explained:

“You’ve misunderstood, Prefect Green. We’ve only used the crucible temporarily. It’s new; Wentworth brought it with them at the start of the semester and we’ve never used it before.”

Wentworth chimed in, saying:

"Yes, Prefect Grin, this is a food I learned from the Muggle world called hot pot. It tastes quite good."

After hearing their explanations, Green finally breathed a sigh of relief and said:

"You should have said so earlier! You scared me half to death. I thought you two had gone crazy!"

As he spoke, Green picked up a slice of meat without hesitation, dipped it in the seasoning Wentworth had prepared, and put it in his mouth.

"Mmm! Delicious! Smells good! Wentworth, you did a great job, the Sorting Hat made the right decision!"

As Green ate heartily, he spoke, not forgetting to add new ingredients to the crucible every now and then.

Cedric, standing to the side, remarked with a sigh:

“Prefect Grin, I finally understand why you are our Hufflepuff prefect. You know, it took a lot of courage for me to open my mouth when I took my first bite, but you didn’t hesitate at all.”

Green was about to say something, but his mouth was stuffed with meat, and he almost choked. It took him a while to catch his breath before he finally spoke:

“I’m not one of those guys who are proud of being purebloods. My father is a Muggle, but I still love him very much. When I was little, my father would often make me all sorts of Muggle food, which I loved. That was my childhood.”

"However, this is the first time I've ever seen something called hot pot. Wentworth, thank you for letting me eat such delicious food. If you need any help in the future, please feel free to come to me."

Wentworth quickly expressed his gratitude and said:

"You're too kind, Captain Grin. I'm glad you like it!"

"I love it! Of course I love it! I've always thought it's bad that the wizarding world rejects everything Muggle. At least, many of the delicious foods in the Muggle world are worth trying, haha!"

"That's right, I think so too. The Muggle world is developing much faster than our magical world, isn't it?"

The three chatted more and more happily, and Green even forgot about changing his clothes. However, in the Great Hall of Hogwarts, at the Hufflepuff table, the little badgers who had been sitting next to Green were still waiting for him to return.

It must be said that although Hufflepuff is the largest house among the four houses of Hogwarts, it is also the most united. Seeing that Green had not returned to eat for a long time, some of his classmates next to him could not contain themselves.

So two more students put down their food and headed toward Hufflepuff's common room to see where Green had gone and if he had run into any trouble.

To the surprise of all the Hufflepuff students, the two students were unable to return after going back to the Hufflepuff common room.

It's worth noting that Hufflepuff's common room is the closest of the four trainees to the Great Hall where they eat, and there are no strange staircases along the way, nor do you need to answer any strange questions to open the door.

So, rumors began to circulate around the Hufflepuff table, and soon all the students at the Hufflepuff table knew that none of the students who returned to the Hufflepuff common room that noon had been able to come out.

Now, all the Hufflepuff students were getting restless.

Some people wanted to report it to the professor, but they were stopped. After all, they might just have been delayed by something, and if they reported it to the professor for that reason, they would definitely be ridiculed by the students from the other three colleges.

So, after discussing it together, the senior students decided to go back to Hufflepuff's common room to find out what was going on.

So, in the Great Hall of Hogwarts, the students of the other three houses witnessed an astonishing scene: Hufflepuff, who was usually honest and even dull, suddenly stood up and walked out.
