Gold and red combat boots emerged from the dust, revealing Diana's figure. Even in such harsh conditions, Diana's beautiful face remained spotless.
He knew he couldn't escape the fight with this woman, but he also knew that if he continued fighting like this, he would be the one to die.
Now that he had calmed down a bit, Abomination suddenly felt that the woman in front of him was very familiar. Abomination remembered the mission he had carried out when he was still Bronsky.
The woman who slaughtered his men with arrows under the moonlight.
"It was you! You killed my teammate!" Abomination suddenly roared.
Diana never expected that the reckless squad leader would still remember her after he turned into this bloated, yellowish-brown giant.
"You deserve to die!" At this moment, the rage emanating from Hulk's blood completely suppressed the calmness that Bronsky had in Abomination's mind.
He was like a wild boar blinded by rage, charging straight at Diana without any strategy, just acting recklessly like the Hulk.
The fist of hatred slammed down on Diana like a wrecking ball lifted by a crane.
Diana's eyes gleamed with excitement for the fight as she raised her fist and aimed it at Abomination's fist, striking back.
Two completely disproportionate fists collided heavily.
Diana seemed rooted to the earth, unmoved, and even her fists, which clashed with hatred, did not turn red.
"Roar!!"
But on the other side of the punch, Abomination had clearly suffered a huge injury, and the intense pain forced him to roar out.
During his fistfight with Diana, his entire arm suffered the greatest pain since becoming an abomination.
The thick bone broke during the punch, even piercing the muscles of his forearm, exposing it to the air, and his finger bones were completely broken by that punch.
"Looks like you don't have the same recovery speed as that guy who threw me with his car." Diana simply glanced at the Abomination's arm, which was recovering extremely slowly.
“Damn it! You bitch!” Abomination yelled at Diana.
Diana showed no change in expression, and simply said to Abomination, "I was hoping you would let me have a good fight, but now it seems I can only pin my hopes on that big green guy over there."
"Abomination! Stronger than Hulk!" Abomination bristled like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
“It doesn’t matter anymore.” Diana floated slowly in the air, looking directly into the eyes of hatred. “Now I only need you to do one thing.”
"Go to hell."
As soon as Diana finished speaking, before Abomination could react, he was already pinned to the ground by Diana's punch.
What followed was a barrage of attacks from Diana, giving him no chance to get up or even react.
The ground trembled as Diana beat the abomination, and even began to sink around the abomination.
Upon seeing this, General Ross on the helicopter immediately prepared to land and stop Diana's frenzied beating of Abomination. If the beating continued, his Abomination would soon be a pile of yellowish-brown flesh.
But it was clear that he couldn't get down.
Tony Stark hovered in front of the military helicopter, his hands gathering energy cannons: "Hey, old man, don't disturb a lady's pleasant time!"
"Tony Stark! Do you know what you're doing?" General Ross roared at the playboy. "You're pointing your weapon at an American Air Force lieutenant general!"
“Sorry, all I saw was a mastermind behind a disaster in the heart of New York.” This bluster didn’t faze Tony at all; he’d seen the true colors of these military personnel before. “And let me correct you, this thing I’m wearing is, strictly speaking, a high-tech prosthetic. Also, Stark Industries is no longer producing weapons.”
General Ross remained locked in a stalemate with Tony, but every now and then he would glance at the ground that was beginning to sink, and his anxiety grew.
But Tony in front of him wouldn't care what would happen to the man-made monster, which was highly likely. After calming the public down, Tony had only one task: to keep an eye on the culprit.
"Give it to me." General Ross took the megaphone from a soldier and instructed the pilot to move closer to where the Abomination had been hit.
Tony didn't stop the old man. After all, Tony knew very well what kind of person Diana was, who was beating up Abomination. Trying to stop the beating of that scrotum-colored giant by shouting was just wishful thinking.
As soon as the helicopter approached, General Ross couldn't wait any longer and shouted into the megaphone, "If you continue this behavior of damaging military property, you will face all the unpredictable consequences!"
Tony, who was flying nearby, already knew roughly what this guy was going to say.
“If you kill him, you will be at odds with the American military. Now! Immediately! Release him!” General Ross’s tone was filled with dissatisfaction with Diana still beating the Abomination, as well as his almost overflowing anger towards Diana.
Diana stopped and looked at the guy who was yelling in the helicopter.
Seeing Diana stop, General Ross thought his words had worked: "Stop now, come with us to a military court, and we will give you a lighter sentence for this crime!"
Diana then looked at Tony.
Tony clearly saw the questioning look in Diana's eyes, which meant: Is he an idiot?
Tony simply shrugged and didn't comment.
Diana then raised her foot and stomped heavily on the abomination's head, which was already unrecognizable.
"Oh!"
It looks like a watermelon that's been crushed, except this watermelon isn't very appealing in color.
Hate, death.
Chapter 50 Taking Hulk Away
Diana's actions completely surprised General Ross. He never imagined that someone would actually disregard the presence of a true American official and kill what he had spoken up to protect, even if that thing was a monster.
However, considering Diana's fighting prowess, General Ross could only barely suppress his anger. At least he left Diana with a headless corpse, so it wasn't a complete loss.
Would Diana not have considered the value of the Abomination's corpse? Moreover, how much did she suffer for this in another universe, leaving behind research material for others? That would have been pure idiocy.
"Sir, there are unexplained thunderclouds gathering above Miss Diana." Jarvis's voice was transmitted to Tony through his suit.
"We'd guessed this before, and this just confirms it," Tony said nonchalantly to Jarvis.
“No, sir, what I mean is that if you don’t take off urgently, the Mark IV could very well be damaged here due to a power surge.”
"Shit!" Tony had no choice but to quickly take off and get away from the range of that thundercloud.
As Tony Stark sped away, the helicopter pilot received a warning of lightning. Regardless of whether the person sitting behind him was his boss's boss, his life was more important.
The helicopter also chose to climb rapidly and leave the area of the thunderclouds.
As soon as they left the range of the thundercloud, silvery-white lightning struck down, hitting the headless corpse of the abomination.
Occasionally, an arc of electricity that breaks off from that lightning strike can completely damage the lightning protection devices of surrounding buildings.
The direct hatred from the lightning inevitably turned him into ashes, and all traces of his existence were completely erased by the lightning.
Diana still wasn't reassured enough, so she used Thunder to scan all the places where the Abomination had fought, making sure that the old man sitting on the plane couldn't find even a trace of the Abomination's tissue.
Like a tidal wave of thunder, it enveloped the entire battlefield.
The Hulk, who had just recovered, was once again electrocuted by this wave of lightning and fell headfirst into that pit again.
Diana didn't just rush through it; instead, she did it again very seriously before nodding in satisfaction.
There was no other way; she had been badly tricked in the last world, and the appearance of various clones had made her extremely sensitive to such things. She could only leave the battlefield with peace of mind if she was sure that no more trouble would occur.
The rolling thunderclouds gradually dissipated, and there were no more waves of lightning on the ground. Only occasionally, electrical components damaged by excessive lightning strikes continued to emit sparks.
Only then did Tony dare to slowly land next to Diana.
"I must say, this works even better than my incendiary bombs." Looking at the spot where the Abomination's corpse had been lying, now completely whitewashed by lightning, Tony couldn't help but praise Diana.
"Finished?" Diana tapped Tony's suit. "There's another guy lying in that crater who can transform into a giant. If you don't want to see anything like that turkey-colored thing again, stop those guys." Diana pointed to the crater where she had stunned Hulk, then to the descending military helicopter.
"Understood." Tony knew perfectly well that the culprit was the sprightly old man on the plane, so he flew towards the descending helicopter and stopped them.
“Tony Stark, this is the second time you’ve obstructed military operations. Do you want to be court-martialed?” General Ross yelled at Tony, practically pointing his finger at his nose.
I don't know why this old man always likes to threaten them with military courts.
Tony simply shrugged: "It's no use talking to me. You need to discuss with my legal team whether I'm trying to stop the military's actions."
"And old man, I don't think your words will have any effect on that lady." General Ross might not know Diana's identity, but Tony certainly does. This woman won't give you face just because you're a high-ranking officer in the U.S. Air Force, or rather, there's no one on this planet who needs to give her face.
They all need this older sister to give them face.
"No one, regardless of who they are, can interfere with or obstruct the military's actions." General Ross was clearly furious with Tony and Diana's behavior.
"It seems that during your last operation, you were mistaken for wild boars in the forest and slaughtered. The way you were killed was rather disgusting." Tony looked at the footage Jarvis was projecting onto him with a hint of nausea, but his tone remained indifferent.
General Ross naturally knew which operation Tony was referring to, and coincidentally, both operations had one thing in common: Bronsky, who had now turned to ashes, also known as Abomination.
General Ross didn't want to say anything more to the tin man. Now that the Abomination was gone, at least there was a big green guy lying underneath. As long as he could recover the Hulk, he wouldn't care how many Abominations he lost.
Hulk would be the best raw material for creating super soldiers.
He never considered Bruce Banner, who would become the Hulk, as a person. The current Bruce Banner was no different from the mutants he had captured and studied; they were all test subjects on his path to becoming super soldiers.
Tony realized that the man had no intention of continuing his verbal sparring, so he could only follow the helicopter as it descended.
He wouldn't dare attack a high-ranking military officer unless one day he could withstand a nuclear explosion and survive.
Diana had already arrived at the location where Hulk was hit.
The original Hulk, despite being severely injured by Diana, had not yet been forcibly reverted to Bruce Banner. However, several rounds of electrotherapy during his subsequent awakening successfully returned him to Banner's body.
There's only one man at the bottom of the pit right now: Bruce Banner, wearing big shorts.
Diana gently jumped into the pit, completely unsure where to begin to bring this guy up. Even using the Lasso of Truth wouldn't work.
Diana had no idea that her movements were particularly gentle, given how ridiculously large those tattered underpants were, that they could hold her up until she took him away.
"Diana, there's nothing we can do, they've come down anyway." Just as Diana was feeling distressed, Tony landed beside her.
Tony's arrival made Diana realize that she wasn't alone.
"Can you take him with you?" Diana patted Tony's armor. "I don't want to be flying through the air with someone who could become naked at any moment."
"No! No! No!" Tony showed strong aversion, even repeating "no" several times in a row. "I would never carry a man through the air. Iron Man's embrace is reserved for women."
“You can leave it to me.” A voice interrupted their conversation.
The speaker was General Ross, who had just disembarked from the helicopter.
His eyes seemed to be fixed on the unconscious Bruce Banner, then he turned that predatory gaze to Diana, a burning intensity directed at an object.
“Your gaze makes me very uncomfortable,” Diana said to General Ross in a low voice. “If you look at me like that, I wouldn’t mind blinding you. Perhaps you could become a companion to a street hero.”
General Ross seemed not to hear Diana's threat, his eyes still fixed on her: "Miss, I haven't even held you accountable for maliciously destroying military experimental products, yet you dare to threaten a legitimate American Air Force lieutenant general?"
General Ross began pacing around the pit: "Miss, I can arrest you now. I hope you will cooperate with us. Otherwise, you will have no place to live on American soil."
“Diana…” Tony clearly felt the change in Diana’s aura beside him and had to speak up, “Don’t kill her.” But that was all Tony said to Diana.
Based on General Ross's actions, Tony can be fairly certain that General Thunder will become a pawn, and that all the disasters will fall on this useless general.
