Completely remove the US military from the picture.

General Ross, of course, heard what Tony said and said with some disdain, "What, you still dare to attack me? That would really make you an enemy of America."

General Ross didn't care at all what would happen when he got back, as long as he could bring Diana and Bruce Banner back to the military laboratory.

But he clearly misjudged Diana's bottom line. For Diana, the war began the moment you started threatening me, and war has no rules.

Or rather, there is only one rule: whoever has the bigger fist rules.

Now, it's clear that Diana had the bigger fist, so she was the rule.

"Do you think I care about becoming an enemy of America? Or rather, can the America you speak of afford the consequences of becoming my enemy?" Diana appeared instantly in front of General Ross. "What are you barking at me about?"

"I am the daughter of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons! Not a child raised by Martha!"

Just as General Ross was about to say something, a sharp pain shot through his brain. To protect himself, his brain shut down automatically, and General Ross collapsed to the ground.

In Diana's hand were the eyeballs she had plucked from Ross's eye socket, which she had casually tossed onto the ground like two worthless glass marbles.

Tony breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this, since the lieutenant general was still alive.

“He was saved because of you,” Diana said to Tony at the bottom of the pit.

Tony nodded heavily as well. Diana had indeed given him enough face; otherwise, that reckless general would certainly not have survived.

"Sir, a plane is landing here."

Just as Tony heard Jarvis's voice, he saw a plane slowly land on the ground on the other side.

A well-equipped special agent team emerged from the belly of the plane, keeping watch over the surroundings.

"Looks like our great Director Nick Fury has finally decided to show his face," Tony said sarcastically, after all, the last person to step off the plane was none other than Nick Fury, who had been watching everything from the Tri-Wing Tower the whole time.

Nick Fury ignored Tony's sarcasm and simply stared at Diana on the other side of the pit with his one eye.

Even at this moment, Diana still had a lieutenant general's eye blood dripping from her hand.

“Diana, I can help you sort this out,” Nick Fury said calmly.

When Diana first met him, she never imagined he would turn out this way, but it might be a consequence of the convergence of timelines.

Otherwise, there's no way to explain why this former friend would become such a jerk.

“Tony, remember this: never consider Nick Fury a friend.” Diana floated slowly to Tony’s side, completely ignoring what Nick Fury was saying. “Otherwise, you’ll end up like me, unable to bring yourself to kill a former friend.”

Tony nodded in deep agreement.

“You have to believe me, Diana,” Nick Fury said to Diana again.

“Didn’t I trust you before, Fury?” Diana asked Nick Fury.

“I can’t believe that a hero who came from across the universe just wants to live like a normal person.” Nick Fury shook his head. “I need to be responsible for this world, and I need to be responsible for the people in this world.”

"So, you've been spying on me every day, haven't you?"

“This is a safeguard, Diana. It’s all for the world.” Nick Fury didn’t think he had done anything wrong.

After all, it's all for the world.

Diana just scoffed, then said, "I guess you only say you can handle this if you take that guy who can turn into the Hulk away."

Nick Fury nodded his bald head. "Leave it to me, Diana. Bruce Banner will be an integral part of the Avengers program, and so will you."

Tony had absolutely no intention of listening to what Nick Fury was saying at that moment.

Diana? That's even more impossible.

“I believe you already know how to take this naked man away, right?” Diana ignored Nick Fury and said to Tony.

"Of course, they're probably here by now." Just as Tony finished speaking, an all-terrain vehicle bumped and swayed its way to the edge of the ditch.

Happy got out of the car covered in sweat, clearly not from the heat, but from being terrified.

American soldiers, an elite special forces squad from an unknown organization, a high-ranking man lying on the ground, and the ruins surrounding him that looked like a battlefield—all of these were ravaging his fragile spirit.

It was only when I saw my boss in his battle uniform that I felt a little safe.

"Happy! Get down!" Tony shouted to Happy as he lifted his mask.

"Here it is, boss. Just bought the all-terrain vehicle as you instructed." Happy wiped the cold sweat from his face and scrambled over to Tony's side.

This caused Tony to frown.

“He’s yours now. Take him to the car, and then you can drive away.” But Tony didn’t say anything, he just pointed to Bruce Banner lying on the ground.

Happy didn't say anything. Right now, he only had one thought: to get out of this hellhole as soon as possible. So, without caring whether Banner on the ground was dirty or not, he simply carried Banner on his back and headed towards the off-road vehicle.

Diana and Tony watched as Happy placed Banner in the back seat, then got into the car and quickly drove away.

Nick Fury understood that when normal negotiations failed, Banner was destined not to belong to S.H.I.E.L.D., but he still wanted to make one last effort.

Unfortunately, no one gave him that chance.

Diana had already leaped into the sky, bursting out of a sonic boom cloud and disappearing from his sight.

Tony hovered leisurely in the air and said to Nick Fury, "Remember to watch TV tomorrow, there will be a surprise!"

After saying that, he left, dragging the flames behind him.

All that remained was a bewildered Nick Fury, the fallen General Ross, and their group of men.

Chapter 51 Hydra Exposed!

The helicopter carrying the blind General Ross gradually moved away, leaving only Nick Fury and his group on the battlefield ruins.

But what did Tony Stark mean by his last words?

Nick Fury was a little confused, but he didn't dare to ignore Tony Stark's words, after all, he was the kind of guy who dared to expose himself directly in front of the media.

We'll have to wait and see what tomorrow's news brings.

The night faded, and the clear sky revealed the bright daylight.

Large and small camera equipment were arranged around the venue well in advance, and the invited media reporters were all present, like a group of children sitting upright.

Clutching a pen and a voice recorder, he kept his eyes fixed on the spot where the press conference host was to appear.

Pepper walked unhurriedly from backstage to the podium: "Welcome to Mr. Tony Stark's press conference. I won't take up much time, and besides, everyone is more looking forward to Tony's appearance, so I will now hand over this press conference to Tony."

As Pepper finished speaking, the gold and red figures landed on the pre-reserved platform.

"Iron Man! He's really here!"

"That's awesome, Tony!"

...

Even reporters haven't seen the playboy since Tony revealed his identity, let alone interviewed him.

"Hello everyone!" Tony's brand-new armor was slowly removed from his body by the mechanical arms on the platform. "It feels great to see you all again!"

Tony slowly walked to the podium and looked around at the reporters below: "The last time I appeared in an event like this was to clarify that so-called robot war, and the result was that I became America's newest nuclear deterrent."

Tony paused, and no one asked him any questions at this moment.

“But now I’ve found that sometimes, some clowns see me as someone they can work for.” Tony continued, leaning on the podium and looking around at the audience. “Who do they think I am? A circus clown? Or some bitch they can pay to serve them? Oh, they probably can’t afford to pay me.”

"Hahaha!"

The audience burst into laughter.

But right now, watching the news broadcast, American politicians do indeed look furious.

"Who does he think he is! Does a suit of armor make him think he can take on the entire United States?" A white high-ranking official smashed his wine glass and angrily said to his deputy.

Even the President of the United States had a gloomy expression at this moment.

Tony Stark is too unpredictable and has no chance of becoming a weapon of America. He will only act according to his own ideas. The suit must be in the hands of America!

"Summon the Secretary of Defense to come see me." The President pressed the call button on the table.

After the laughter subsided, Tony on the television spoke again: "I am Iron Man, but I am not a politician's weapon. I am an advocate for the peace of privatization, but there are always some people who are insane and conducting some outrageous experiments."

Tony tapped the transparent panel in his hand a few times quickly.

A screen was slowly lowered beside him, and a projection was shown on it.

It was a battle between two big guys, destroying streets, ruining homes, and using cars as stones to throw at each other.

The reporters present were all shocked. Some of them had been preparing to report this bizarre news the night before, but it was clear that a powerful figure had spoken up and the news had been suppressed.

Now, Tony Stark is broadcasting it live to people all over the United States.

“I remember seeing some comments on my way to the press conference saying that this was just special effects from a movie,” Tony scratched his chin. “My question is, do the people who made those comments think that everyone in America is blind? Or do they think the disaster victims in Harlem are fake?”

As he spoke, Tony suddenly tapped the table, drawing everyone's attention away from the video on the screen and onto himself.

“What I’m trying to say is, I can’t possibly be a computer-generated image, can I? Otherwise, I’d have to charge this company for my likeness,” Tony said with a laugh. “Now I can stand by everything I say from here on out.”

"First, the video is genuine, there's no doubt about that."

"Secondly, the two monsters are codenamed 'Abomination' and 'Hulk,' both created due to the greedy nature of certain individuals! In other words, their appearance is man-made!"

"Whoosh~"

When Tony said those words, the scene erupted.

"Mr. Stark, do you mean that someone was conducting human biochemical experiments, which led to the appearance of those two monsters?"

"Mr. Stark, can you guarantee that your source of information is accurate?"

“Mr. Stark, you…”

All the reporters jumped up from their seats, holding their recorders and trying to get close to Tony, but how could Pepper's press conference be without security measures?

A large number of security personnel separated the reporters from Tony Stark.

“I know everyone is very excited about this, but now is not the time for questions from reporters. Someone will tell you the whole story in a bit,” Tony said to Mike.

When the reporters heard someone reminiscing about their answers, they realized they wouldn't get any useful information from Tony Stark, so they all sat down.

“Then I’ll continue.” Tony continued speaking.

“Thirdly, the future Iron Man and myself,” Tony stood ramrod straight, no one had ever seen Tony Stark so serious, “will not serve any country. All of Iron Man’s actions will be decided solely by myself and my team!”

The crowd erupted in uproar, signifying that Iron Man, who could have become America's new nuclear threat, was no longer content to confine himself to the security of a single nation.
