This was Tony's decision after learning about the universe that Diana had mentioned, but he would also not let Ethan down.

At this moment, the already ashen faces of countless high-ranking American officials had completely transformed into small volcanoes with red faces and thick necks.

"How dare he! How dare he!"

Even though they were so angry that they suffered a brain hemorrhage and were rushed to the hospital, they couldn't stop Tony from continuing to speak.

To prepare for this speech, Tony had Jarvis hack all the television stations' systems overnight, so that the entire broadcast would be streamed live via Stark's own satellite.

No one could stop the live broadcast of this press conference.

This undoubtedly further infuriated the American leadership, who were already on the verge of a volcanic eruption.

All I could do was watch that face on the screen, the one that made me want to grind my teeth in hatred, talking away.

The reporters at the scene did indeed catch the team Tony had mentioned.

A male reporter raised his hand.

“Oh, Ben, please, there’s no need to raise your hand,” Tony said, waving his hand dismissively.

"Sir, you just mentioned 'your squad,' is that right?"

Tony shrugged. "Yes, I mentioned it. If any of you missed it, I can repeat it."

"My team and I will determine whether Iron Man needs to be deployed."

Tony tapped the table with his right index finger: "And the next speech will be given by our team's strongest fighter right now, you can call her..."

Wonder Woman.

As he spoke, Tony stepped aside and pointed to another backstage door that he had been unable to open.

As journalists, many people have vivid memories of many names, even if those names are almost buried deep in their memories. How much more so when Tony mentions this name, which is still very well-known.

The name of a comic book superhero.

A demigod.

The door Tony pointed to slowly opened, and a tall figure appeared before everyone's eyes.

With her long, black, wavy hair, beautiful face, and pure white dress that accentuated Diana's gorgeous figure, her exposed calves were delicate and smooth.

Diana slowly walked to the podium, amidst a flurry of flashing lights, reaching its peak the moment she shook hands with Tony.

"Hello everyone, I'm Diana Prince," Diana began.

"I don't believe you can be Wonder Woman!" a blonde female reporter suddenly confronted Diana. "You might just be a pretty face, and Mr. Stark might just be using you for another publicity stunt."

"So why does Mr. Stark need hype? He is the topic and the focus himself." Diana still had that smiling face, completely unconcerned about the reporter's question. "As for your not believing I am Wonder Woman, that's your own opinion, and the future will prove everything. What I need to do now is create the future."

After ignoring the female reporter, Diana steered the conversation back to the main topic of the press conference.

Inside S.H.I.E.L.D., it wasn't just Nick Fury watching this press conference; many people were watching this press conference that might be recorded in human history.

Nick Fury crossed his arms; his initially calm mind was completely disturbed when Diana appeared on screen.

Nick Fury didn't believe that Tony Stark alone would dare to say "QNMD" to high-ranking officials across the United States.

That leaves only one possibility: this Diana is far more powerful than the one in the existing comics.

"What exactly do you want, Diana?"

Back at the press conference, the reporters present were honestly skeptical that this beautiful woman was really the one in question.

"It seems many people are doubting whether I'm real or not." Diana calmly accepted the questioning looks from the reporters. "But what I'm about to show you has nothing to do with my identity."

As she spoke, Diana gestured to Tony to adjust the projected image. Instead of showing the fight between Abomination and Hulk, an icon appeared.

A circular icon appeared before everyone, with a skull in the very center extending out six tentacles.

“I believe some of you have seen this icon,” Diana said to the reporters as she walked over to it.

"Isn't that the Hydra symbol from the Captain America comics?" a male reporter suddenly stood up and said to Diana. "Are you trying to tell us that this thing still exists?"

No one questions whether this organization actually exists, because Captain America is a real person, so this thing is naturally real as well.

“You’re right, but please sit down.” Diana affirmed the male reporter’s words and gestured for him to sit back down.

The male reporter could only scratch his head and sit down, after all, he was being watched by burly security personnel.

“The male reporter was right, that’s the symbol of Hydra. In a sense, the organization has been eliminated.” Diana didn’t care at all whether she had advanced the timeline of this world.

After all, sometimes forcing someone to do something is more effective in getting results than letting them do it themselves.

Nick Fury was sweating profusely. When the Hydra symbol appeared, he understood what Diana wanted to do: she wanted him to take action.

They took action against S.H.I.E.L.D. from within.

"Full alert!" Nick Fury quickly picked up a communicator, which he used to secretly contact agents who hadn't been assimilated by the forces within S.H.I.E.L.D.

Diana has now truly outmaneuvered him.

Diana continued speaking: "Everyone knows Hydra, but not many people have actually seen this organization."

The Hydra emblem was then replaced by the bald eagle emblem of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Fuck you!" After seeing the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo appear, Nick Fury no longer had the will to slowly deal with the forces within the agency. And no matter what happened in the end, the credibility of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be completely destroyed.

"The name of this organization is S.H.I.E.L.D., or you can choose to call it by its full name: Strategic Homeland Defense, Attack and Logistics Agency. They report directly to the World Security Council, are responsible for all superhuman events, and communicate with superhumans."

“Miss Prince, you don’t mind if I call you that, do you?” Ben, who had asked Tony the question earlier, raised his hand again.

“You say it,” Diana said, shaking her head at Ben.

"After releasing Hydra, you released another organization we've never heard of. Does this mean Hydra hasn't disappeared, but rather has thrived thanks to this organization?" Ben's thinking was very clear. He knew no one would mention a villainous organization that had disappeared decades ago at a press conference. If they did, there must be a reason.

Upon hearing Ben's words, Diana couldn't help but applaud: "That's right. S.H.I.E.L.D. was originally the Strategic Scientific Corps, which was renamed the Strategic Dangerous Intervention and Intelligence Logistics Division in 1991. After defeating Hydra in World War II, the Strategic Scientific Corps absorbed Hydra's equipment, a large number of weapons, and research personnel. This gave Hydra a perfect opportunity to infiltrate. From then until now, decades have passed, and no one knows how many Hydra members are in the various agencies across this land."

"But what is certain is that this organization has become the most heavily infiltrated intelligence agency in history by its own enemies."

"boom!"

A gunshot shattered the silence that had enveloped the meeting room because of this secret.

A security guard drew his pistol, pulled the trigger, and the bullet struck Diana squarely between the eyebrows.

However, what they saw was not brains splattering everywhere, but a bullet that had been smashed into a pancake shape.

The security personnel understood that they had no chance of survival, so they turned their guns on themselves.

He ended his life with a cry of "Long live Hydra!"

When all the reporters came to their senses, their first thought was of Diana, who had been shot.

But when Diana stood there unharmed, they understood that the world had changed.

At least America has been changed.

Chapter 52 The Insightful One

The commotion at the scene did not subside quickly; Pepper had never expected this to happen. Just as she was about to call the police, Diana stopped her.

“It’s alright, Pepper.” Diana waved at Pepper. “I’m Wonder Woman, aren’t I?”

“But…” Pepper wanted to say something more, but Tony, who was standing next to her, clearly noticed something amiss.

Why did someone immediately claim to be a member of Hydra after Diana exposed it? Obviously, even the most foolish underground organization wouldn't be so stupid as to jump out and eagerly prove its existence.

“Diana…” Tony interrupted Pepper, “was it your doing?”

Diana glanced at Tony, surprisingly noticing that the most unreliable person was the first to sense something was amiss. Diana nodded, acknowledging Tony's question.

Tony understood, and said nothing more. His expression turned grave as he silently retreated backstage to investigate the man who had suddenly appeared. If his future teammate would do something that would cause the sacrifice of innocent people, then all their discussions would be in vain.

Diana was well aware of Tony's actions and understood what he was going to do, but she wasn't worried at all because she knew very well what kind of person the dead man was.

The people Fisk chooses are unlikely to be good people.

Pepper looked somewhat bewildered as Tony returned backstage, but she knew very well that what she needed to do now was to calm the crowd that might riot because of the shooting as quickly as possible.

She soon realized that the riots might not have been caused by the shooting. They were caused by the person who was shot—Diana's reaction to the gunfire.

"It seems a little accident has occurred." The room fell silent the moment Diana spoke, as if her words carried some kind of magic.

After everyone quieted down, Diana said to the two somewhat bewildered security guards, "Gentlemen, could you please clean this place up?"

The security personnel exchanged glances and quickly dragged away the body of their former colleague, who was now suspected of being a member of a terrorist organization that had been hiding underground for many years.

Diana ignored the matter and addressed the audience again, saying, "Now that this little accident has happened, I believe no one will have any doubts about me."

Diana smiled slightly at the female reporter who had previously raised questions to her.

The female reporter was somewhat embarrassed; her colleagues were casting pitying glances at her. Perhaps they thought this person was unlikely to appear at any press conferences featuring Diana again.

The question is, will Diana remember her? Or will her pride prevent her from ever again refusing to make such big news?

Obviously, none of these are possible.

Diana clapped her hands, drawing everyone's attention back to her, and then said calmly, "I believe many of you have questions about me now. You can raise your hands and ask your questions now, and I will answer them if I can."

As soon as she finished speaking, many reporters in the audience raised their hands, including the female reporter who had previously questioned Diana.

While Diana was answering numerous questions from reporters, Tony also came out from backstage. Unlike his somber demeanor when he went in, he now looked relaxed, as if he had just had a refreshing massage.

"Tony?" After Diana calmed the commotion down, Pepper naturally noticed the inconsistencies in this outrageous assassination attempt.

She roughly knew what Tony was going to do backstage, and she also knew that the Diana with the warm smile on stage was not the somewhat virtuous and righteous fictional character she had watched as a child.

The Diana we know now is the one who is truly alive.

Tony said to Pepper, "This assassination should be considered a show arranged by Diana herself to expose Hydra, prove herself, and promote the team."

"Hydra assassins appear at superhero press conference."

Tony laughed: "Isn't this a ready-made title?"

Pepper was a little uneasy; after all, the deceased was a living, breathing person, someone who would inevitably have a family and relatives...

“There’s no need to worry.” Tony keenly noticed the concern on Pepper’s face. “A guy who’s lived for at least five thousand years is much more meticulous in handling this kind of thing than we think.”

"But what if this dead person still has a family to support?"

“The man who died was named Christopher Jordan. He was a drug addict, addicted to gambling, and had a long criminal record,” Tony said, looking at the files he had found. “Let me see… wow, quite a few. Robbery, illegal possession of a firearm, assault with a firearm, drug possession… He should have been in a federal prison until he died…”

“He had a wife and children, but he was abusive towards them… Yesterday, someone helped that poor mother and child get a divorce from him.” Tony shrugged, feeling absolutely no guilt about such a person’s death. “So that man can only be described as a…”
