"Scum!" Pepper said what Tony wanted to say first.

Somewhat taken aback, Tony could only repeat Pepper's word: "Scum, yes, that's exactly the word I was thinking of using."

The two of them looked at Diana on the stage at the same time.

That pretty face, so captivating that you couldn't bear to look away, was filled with a charming smile.

“Miss Prince, I’d like to know how you know such a completely confidential matter,” a reporter called on by Diana stood up and asked Diana.

"You know, sometimes, when you live long enough, you'll know a lot of things that others don't. Next."

"Miss Prince, are you the same person as Wonder Woman in the comics?"

"You can think of it that way, next one."

......

While the press conference on this side was in full swing, S.H.I.E.L.D. was in complete turmoil.

Nick Fury's phone is ringing off the hook, but he's too afraid to answer any of them, not knowing if the caller is a member of Hydra.

The agents were also wary of each other, none of them knowing whether their teammates would become their enemies at any moment.

Hydra is worried that the people around them are real S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, while the real S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are worried that their current colleagues might be infiltrates from Hydra.

In such a situation, if someone accidentally fires a gun due to excessive psychological pressure, the place will completely turn into a battlefield.

Large numbers of American National Guard troops, armed with armored vehicles and heavy artillery, quickly surrounded the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Nick Fury upstairs was completely outraged; he never imagined things would escalate to this point.

He took out a special communicator, made up his mind, and then pressed the button.

"What happened? Why would you contact me?" The holographic projection that appeared from the communicator was yet another Nick Fury.

"Didn't you say it wouldn't be a problem for you to come and replace me?" Nick Fury on Earth said to the holographic Nick Fury.

The holographic projection of Nick Fury also understood that something unforeseen must have happened, otherwise his stand-in wouldn't have contacted him.

"Haward, what's wrong?" Nick Fury's dark face in the holographic projection turned serious.

Nick Fury, referred to as Howard, let out a long sigh and said, "Are you really friends with that Diana? And why has your S.H.I.E.L.D. been infiltrated by hostile forces?"

"Diana? S.H.I.E.L.D." Nick Fury was stunned. The two things he trusted most on Earth now seemed to have both run into problems. "What happened to Diana? Don't tell me you two broke up!"

For Nick Fury, the S.H.I.E.L.D. business was far less important than Diana's.

"Your old boss revealed Diana's existence at the Security Council meeting." Howard had barely finished speaking when he saw Nick Fury's holographic projection looking somewhat sinister.

"Mazefak!" Nick Fury woke up never imagining that such an absurd thing would happen to his former boss.

Diana's existence was exposed, and Nick Fury knew exactly what the bigwigs on the Security Council would demand.

The minimum requirement is probably constant monitoring, but as for the maximum? Nobody knows what outrageous demands those bigwigs might make.

As for the outcome, even Nick Fury, with his non-existent hair, could predict it: a direct confrontation would ensue, leading to a parting of ways and a complete breakdown of relations.

Diana would never play these spy games with them.

Rubbing his temples, Nick Fury decided to put the matter aside for now and start investigating what kind of ridiculous thing had happened at S.H.I.E.L.D. After all, every intelligence organization is susceptible to infiltration by hostile forces. But there was absolutely no way something like Diana's incident could occur.

“Diana had hinted at it to me before, and I also found some problems within your S.H.I.E.L.D. But here’s the problem: Diana seems dissatisfied with how I handled it, and she directly teamed up with Tony Stark to hold a press conference, revealing that Hydra was lurking within your S.H.I.E.L.D..”

“Wait, Hydra?” Nick Fury clearly grasped the key word in Howard’s speech: Hydra.

Thinking of the Hydra scientists he had taken in during World War II, Nick Fury knew that this matter had caused a huge uproar.

“I’ll return to Earth as soon as possible. Hang in there. You can completely trust Black Widow and Hawkeye, except for Coulson.” Nick Fury hung up the phone after saying this.

Howard was left staring wide-eyed.

Looking at the National Guard surrounding the Tri-Wing Building and the possibility of a fierce shootout inside, Howard regretted ever accepting Nick Fury's advice to come to Earth and clean up this mess.

"OMG Fuck!"

What happened to S.H.I.E.L.D. is of no importance to anyone in the venue right now. For an intelligence organization that has been secretly infiltrated by its own enemy forces for so many years without being able to find a single clue, it is simply the most ridiculous thing ever.

Unless the enemy's methods are far more sophisticated than those of this regular intelligence organization, or the leaders of this intelligence organization are all incompetent fools.

Now everyone is more concerned about what Diana would say after the Q&A session.

“I think everyone knows about the team Tony mentioned before. Tony and I will both be members of this team.” Diana said, then shook her head.

"Squad, perhaps that definition of this organization isn't entirely accurate. The purpose of this organization is to deal with all superpowered crises, and it will not participate in any conflicts between nations. It's solely for superpowered crises, and can only be for superpowered crises," Diana said to everyone watching the live broadcast on television.

"What if the local authorities don't agree to your actions?"

“That’s a good question.” Diana was quite pleased with the question. “I did think about the answer to this question at first, but to be honest, I didn’t know.”

The reporters in the audience looked at each other, completely surprised that Diana would give such an answer.

"What everyone needs to understand is that we are not the enemy of any group. We are only here to deal with any superpowered crises that may endanger the world. So, you should ask them this question."

"So, Miss Prince, what is your organization called?"

“The Justice League…” Diana said to the reporter who asked her the question.

The reporters in the audience were clearly very interested in the name, after all, the Justice League, as DC Comics' most famous superhero organization, is a household name. That said, if you've read DC comics.

But some people are unhappy with the name.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Tony quickly interrupted Diana, "That's not what you told me. Our team will never, ever be called that, okay?"

“Of course I was lying to you,” Diana said to a nervous Tony.

"Thank goodness, I didn't have that name that always makes me feel awkward," Tony breathed a sigh of relief.

"Insightful Ones, our organization is called: The Insightful Ones Alliance."

"You really know how to name things. At least it suits my taste better than that bureau chief's name." Tony made no attempt to hide his fondness for the name.

"Thank you for your kind words," Diana said with a smile.

The photographers who came with the reporters were frantically pressing their shutters. Without any premonition, they dared to declare that this would be a global moment.

It could even be a historic moment for all of humanity.

“We welcome all ambitious individuals to join us, to join the Insightful,” Diana said in her final words into the microphone. “The Insightful of the future will also welcome all capable people.”

After speaking, Diana left the press conference with Tony and Pepper.

"To open your arms to everyone and welcome everyone is a bit of an overstatement. You can't support that many people like the military," Tony retorted, criticizing Diana's final remarks.

“I’m using companions. How many people do you think can become companions?” Diana didn’t think there was anything wrong with what she said. “Besides, I haven’t told you that you’re not the only financial backer of the Insightful. The future Insightful can afford to support an army.”

"Wait, what do you mean? You also found other people to invest?" Tony didn't care at all about Diana saying that they could support an army in the future. Instead, he was very concerned that Diana hadn't just asked him to do this project.

Diana ignored Tony's words and simply left.

Watching Tony chatter on and on about his grievances to Diana like a child who had been tricked by an adult, Pepper couldn't help but rub her forehead in exasperation.

Chapter 53 Zeus's Thoughts

After Pepper followed the two men out of the venue, she saw Tony watching helplessly as the orange Phantom drove away.

"I didn't expect there would actually be someone who could give you this feeling," Pepper said, standing next to Tony, somewhat amused.

Tony just pursed his lips. He didn't think it was Diana who made him feel this helpless. He just didn't want to have anything to do with some unknown clown.

It's unclear whether the people Diana chose were reliable or if there were any problems with them.

If Diana knew what Tony was thinking, she would probably pat him on the shoulder and tell him, "You guessed right."

It's not just a problem, it's a big problem.

After all, an organization that has been lurking underground for so long, serving the underworld, couldn't possibly be without problems. Even the people behind this organization... the gods behind it, are all well-known big shots.

For Diana, no one could be darker or more imposing than the guys she had fought before.

Now all she has to do is get Fisk to sit on one of those underground thrones, or to become the sole owner of that throne.

As Diana was driving, a touch of gold appeared on the ends of her hair, which quickly faded away.

When Diana returned to the Plaza Hotel, someone was already waiting there.

Her long, flowing red hair and a uniform that perfectly complemented her radiance.

Natasha Romanov.

“I thought it would be Nick Fury coming to see me, but I didn’t expect it to be you?” Diana handed the car keys to the doorman, ignoring the doorman’s surprised look, and said to the red-haired beauty.

“Ms. Prince, your previous press conference has put S.H.I.E.L.D. in a very difficult situation now,” Natasha said, but she seemed unconcerned about the fate of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"So what?" Diana didn't think that her words at the press conference would cause any problems for S.H.I.E.L.D. At most, she would be questioned by the Security Council leaders and have her budget cut.

After all, the existence of Hydra was only mentioned by her alone. As long as the real Hydra is well hidden, the Security Council will not be able to completely dismantle the organization.

The potential dangers of disbanding a large intelligence organization are obvious.

S.H.I.E.L.D. will not be disbanded, nor can it be disbanded.

"Director Nick Fury hopes that the so-called Insightful organization you and Stark have established can cooperate with S.H.I.E.L.D. to jointly combat any potential supernatural crimes." Natasha herself didn't seem very confident as she spoke. Asking a billionaire and a demigod to share the burden for them?

“Natalia Arianovna Romanova, I hope the next time you come to me, it won’t be for something so trivial.” As Natasha said this, Diana had already headed for the elevator. “Besides, I don’t want someone to launch a nuclear missile at us from behind while my teammates are fighting hard against the enemy.”

Diana stepped into the elevator, while Natasha, standing at the door, clearly grasped the key point: someone might betray them in a future extraordinary war.

“It seems you’ve figured it out.” Diana noticed the change in Natasha’s expression and realized that the agent with special interrogation skills had grasped the key point. “Hopefully, next time you won’t come to me for something so strange.”

Diana's pretty face also disappeared from Natasha's sight as the elevator doors closed.

Only S.H.I.E.L.D. can handle their own problems.

Knowing that she couldn't get any useful information from Diana, Natasha left the Plaza Hotel.

Diana wouldn't care what kind of trouble they might cause this time. Strictly speaking, the purpose of her founding of the Insightful Ones was to see if the gods of this universe were worthy of the title of gods, and also to find a reason for her to protect them, just like in the previous world.

At least for now, there was nothing here that Diana wanted to stay for or miss.

Without this, there is no reason to protect them.

Her mission in that world had already been largely accomplished.

Protecting the Earth? There are plenty of heroes in this world too.

The Insightful, which he formed with Tony Stark, was simply because they didn't want this charismatic young man to die in his final battle.
