"According to the equipment department's analysis, these seven weapons will automatically select suitable users."

Fingel's mouth gaped open wide enough to fit an egg: "Principal, are you sending us to slay dragons, or to participate in the Holy Grail War?"

Flamel excitedly pulled a long, gleaming sword from the box. The blade was a full 1.5 meters long and resembled a Chinese Song Dynasty horse-slaying broadsword, with dark gold patterns flowing across its ancient-looking surface.

With a clang, it was inserted into Angers' expensive mahogany desk.

"My hand-carved table!" Angers' eyes twitched with heartache. "This was crafted entirely by hand by an artisan!"

"Do you lack this little bit of money?" Flamel waved his hand dismissively and drew a long, slender Tang sword.

"Snap!" The knife tip pierced three inches into the tabletop.

For the next two minutes, the office echoed with the sickening sound of wood tearing.

Damascus-style, Han-style octagonal, Roman dagger-shaped, and Japanese wakizashi-shaped items were all stuck on the table, turning the expensive desk into a hedgehog.

Chapter 118 The Seven Deadly Sins (Part 2)

The desk was covered with seven swords of various shapes and sizes. Vice Principal Flamel walked around the desk, lightly touching the hilt of each weapon with his finger, and clicked his tongue in amazement: "Good stuff, really good stuff."

"Tsk tsk, it's perfect." Flamel clicked his tongue, his eyes filled with a fascination, like a lecherous old man on the beach who has just seen a beautiful girl.

"The construction of each weapon has reached the pinnacle of alchemy, and the purity of the recycled metal is close to 100%."

Angers stood opposite Flamel, feeling helpless at his old friend's loss of composure, and glanced at the young people sitting around the table.

Lu Mingfei shifted uncomfortably, while Frillie remained calm. Chu Zihang, as always, was expressionless, but leaned forward slightly, revealing his interest.

Angers took a deep breath and began to explain: "This set of 'Seven Deadly Sins,' the seven swords, is what we acquired from the Sotheby's auction last time. Mingfei, Frilian, and Zihang, you all participated in that auction."

Frillie raised her hand, her slender fingers pointing to one of the weapons that resembled a Japanese wakizashi: "Headmaster, these swords seem to have two kinds of inscriptions on them?"

Angers smiled slightly and flicked the blade. "Yes, there are two kinds of inscriptions on it. One is dragon script, which has not yet been fully deciphered, and the other is ancient Hebrew."

His fingers traced the inscription on the hilt of the sword. "This one is 'Lust.' The other six are Gluttony, Pride, Envy, Greed, Wrath, and Sloth."

"Are these their names?" Frilian asked, tilting her head as her long silver hair slipped down her shoulders.

“That should be true,” Angzhe nodded. “Each one represents the highest level of alchemy. The one who forged them was Norton, the King of Bronze and Fire.”

Lu Mingfei felt a strange chill and couldn't take his eyes off the swords.

These weapons were calling to him, but not in a friendly way; rather, they were a malicious whisper, trying to drag him into the abyss.

“The equipment department and the alchemy department have been analyzing for three months,” Angers continued. “The materials are all recycled metals that cannot be further analyzed. Simply put, the manufacturing technology of these weapons is beyond our current level of understanding.”

After a long silence, Chu Zihang suddenly spoke up: "Is alchemy the power of the King of Bronze and Fire?"

Vice Principal Flamel answered the question for Angers, carefully examining "Greed" with a magnifying glass. "Yes. The King of Earth and Mountains controls power, and the King of Bronze and Fire controls alchemy."

He grinned. "These seven swords are arguably the most powerful weapons in the world, each with a different effect."

He paused, looked around at everyone, and asked, "Who do you think this was built to deal with?"

Lu Mingfei's throat tightened. He knew the answer; the answer had appeared in his mind the moment he saw these weapons.

He silently told himself, "It's for killing my fellow countrymen."

From the moment he first saw the seven weapons, a strong urge surged within him to destroy them.

It's as if these seven deadly sins are a Pandora's box that should never be opened, for once released, they will bring irreparable disaster.

Angers noticed Lu Mingfei's unusual behavior and looked at him with a questioning gaze.

Lu Mingfei shook his head reluctantly, forcing himself to remain calm.

Angers said softly, “We speculate that the Dragon King Norton forged these weapons to deal with his brothers and sisters. ‘Gluttony,’ ‘Lust,’ ‘Pride,’ ‘Envy,’ ‘Greed,’ ‘Wrath,’ and ‘Sloth’ correspond to the weaknesses of the seven kings.”

He slowly uttered an ancient Hebrew phrase: "The blood of every king must end with the sword."

Fingel scratched his head: "Why do dragons fight amongst themselves?"

He muttered to himself, "Besides, the name 'Seven Deadly Sins' sounds so cringeworthy, doesn't it? It's like some anime-obsessed otaku would name a weapon."

"Think about it," Fingel rolled his eyes. "The Dragon King just wants to fight, but why does he have to give his weapons such poetic names? 'Wrath,' 'Envy,' 'Sloth,'" he said. "Isn't that just like a villain in a comic book? 'I am the Dark Lord, wielding the seven deadly sins, and I will surely destroy the world!'"

He waved his arms exaggeratedly, "Come on, do the Dragon Kings also like to recite an embarrassing line before the fight starts?"

Angers smiled helplessly. "Dragons are a race that believes in power, Fingel. In their eyes, the law of the jungle is not a rule, but an instinct."

“In the history of the dragons, power is everything. The Black King Nidhogg created the White King, but then killed him with his own hands because the White King’s power threatened his rule.”

"The history of the dragon race is an epic of infighting. Dragon kings fought for power, devouring the flesh and blood of their own kind to enhance their own strength. Norton, the king of bronze and fire, forged the seven deadly sins; Fenrir, the king of earth and mountains, manipulated earthquakes and force fields; and the king of the sea and water stirred up towering waves. They fought each other until they perished."

Angers walked to the window, his back to the crowd, and continued, "The most famous event was the great rebellion of the dragons. The White King led a third of the dragons in rebellion against the Black King, and was eventually nailed to a bronze pillar beneath the icy sea. This war almost destroyed the entire dragon civilization."

Lu Mingfei felt dizzy, and the scene described by Angers formed a clear picture in his mind.

The sky was ablaze, the earth shattered, dragons clashed in the clouds, and golden blood rained down.

Those scenes were so real, as if they were memories he had personally experienced.

Chu Zihang asked, "Then, Norton, who forged the Seven Deadly Sins, had already created weapons to kill his own kind, so why did he still flee with his brother Constantine, only to be killed by us humans in the end?"

The office was quiet for a while.

Vice Principal Flamel scratched his beard and could only guess, "Perhaps it's because they have a concept of family ties?"

After saying that, he laughed at himself. "Sounds absurd, right? Cold-blooded reptiles can have family ties?"

Dragons value family ties? That sounds like a joke.

Frillie, however, did not find it absurd.

Looking at the swords and blades, she thought of her companions who had once fought alongside her to defeat the Demon King.

The weapon seals not only the power of killing, but also pain, sorrow, and betrayal.

Norton was torn between two conflicting emotions as he forged them: he wanted to protect his brother Constantine, but he also had to prepare weapons to fight against him.

Lu Mingfei stared at the seven swords on the table and suddenly felt a sense of irony. These weapons were originally forged to kill their own kind, but now they were to be used to protect humanity.

Angers clapped his hands. "In any case, the Seven Deadly Sins are now our weapon."

He looked at the four of them and said, "Mingfei, Frilian, Zihang, and Fingel, each of you should try to draw your sword in a moment."

Fingel wailed, "Why do I have to draw my sword too?!"

“Because you’re an A-level,” Angers smiled. “Want to graduate?”

Chapter 119 Drawing the Sword

Flamel cut his finger, and blood seeped from his fingertip. Just before it dripped, he flicked it away, and a drop of crimson landed on the black scabbard.

"Look closely, this is the true face of the Seven Deadly Sins."

When the blood droplets touched the scabbard, they moved swiftly along the runes on its surface as if they were alive, and the originally dim patterns gradually lit up.

The entire scabbard trembled slightly, and the breathing of an ancient dragon could be heard.

“What you just saw was the Seven Deadly Sins in their dormant state,” Flamel said, taking a half-step back.

Frillie raised her hand. "It's about to wake up. Step back."

Everyone took a few steps back in unison.

Lu Mingfei staggered back several steps, feeling his legs trembling uncontrollably.

The tremors in the casket grew more and more violent, and the seven weapons struggled like imprisoned wild beasts, trying to break free of the casket.

"Clang!"

The seven swords "awakened" one by one like a symphony orchestra, ranging from the smallest wakizashi to a zapō that was almost as tall as a person.

The leather on the surface of the scabbard was torn apart inch by inch, revealing the dark gold patterns underneath. The runes, activated by the blood, turned into a lava-like red.

Principal Angers coughed. "Lu Mingfei, go and try to draw the sword."

“Me?” Lu Mingfei pointed to his nose and looked at Frillie for help, who nodded slightly.

When Lu Mingfei walked to the table, he found that his palms were covered in cold sweat.

He swallowed hard, his gaze sweeping over the seven weapons before finally settling on the smallest one, "Lust."

This Japanese wakizashi looks harmless, with vine-like patterns wrapped around its scabbard.

"Just think of it as sparring with my senior brother at the dojo," Lu Mingfei encouraged himself, his right hand firmly gripping the hilt of the sword.

Instantly, a powerful suction force came from the sword case, as if countless invisible hands were tightly gripping the wakizashi.

Lu Mingfei firmly planted his feet in a horse stance, his arm muscles tensing.

The sword training he had undergone with Chu Zihang over the past year was now showing its effects. He could clearly feel the power rising from the soles of his feet, passing through his waist and abdomen, and finally converging in his right arm.

"Hey!"

With a soft shout, lust was unleashed.

“First one pulled out smoothly,” Flamel nodded, stroking his chin. “Let’s try the next one.”

Lu Mingfei put the Lust sword back into its sheath and turned to the second sword, "Taotie".

The scabbard of this Atkan longsword is dark green, and the handle is wrapped with snake-scale-like patterns.

Lu Mingfei gripped the hilt of the knife, his expression immediately changing.

“This suction force,” Lu Mingfei thought, feeling as if he were trying to pull up a mountain.

If the pull of lust is like someone pulling a rope at one end, then the pull of gluttony is like the entire rope being cast into concrete.

My knuckles turned white from straining, and my temples throbbed.

"Use your waist strength," Chu Zihang's voice came from behind.

Lu Mingfei took a deep breath, recalling the power generation techniques Chu Zihang had taught him.

He slightly bent his knees, lowered his center of gravity, and felt the power being transmitted from the ground to his arms.

As the suction reached its peak, he suddenly twisted his waist.

"Clang!"

As the Taotie sword was drawn, Lu Mingfei fell to the ground due to inertia; the long sword was heavier than he had imagined.
