Chapter 380 Extra - The Paladin's Reminiscences (Part 2)

"I activate the ① effect of [Isolde] to add [Flame Knight - Richardetto] to my hand!"

"Following the ② effect of [Isolde], send 5 Equip Cards from your Deck to the Graveyard to Special Summon Level 5 [Spellcaster Lancelot]!"

[Gallatine the Holy Sword][Sword in the Stone][Clarent the Holy Sword][Arondette the Holy Sword][Sword of Destiny] were sent to the graveyard.

"This battle is for humanity!"

"I activate the effect of [Lancelot the Demon Knight], release [Isolde], and add [Sword of Steel Breaker] to my hand!"

"Next, I'll stack [Mordred] and [Magic Knight] on top of each other!"

"The ideal King Saint, the immortal Lord of Avalon!"

"Show the world the glory of knighthood!"

"Rank 5, [Holy Knight King Artorius 2200/2200]!"

Holy Knight King Artoria

"This battle is a battle to protect!"

"If this card is Xyz Summoned, you can activate this effect: Equip this card with [Destiny], [Galladin], or [Arondette] from your Graveyard!"

"Ta-da!"

Three golden rays converged on the Knight King.

"Activate [Sword of Broken Steel] and equip it to [Holy Knight King Artorius]."

"Then equip the [Phoenix Armored Sword] to [Holy Knight King Artorius]!"

"Activate the effect of [Divine Phoenix Sword Saint Giafrid] to Special Summon [Phoenix Armored Sword] from the field!"

"[Phoenix Armed Sword] Effect: If this card is a monster effect and is banished, you can activate this effect. Add this card to your hand."

"Activate the effect of [Flame Knight Augier] and equip it to [Kia Fried]!"

"End of round."

"Is that all?" King Ash scoffed. "Humans are the lowest of races."

"My turn, draw a card."

The king looked arrogantly at Paladin, "Let me show you the mighty power of us!"

"Activate the Quick-Play Spell Card [Awakening of Vidos], place [Obsidian City of Ashes] face-up in my Field Zone. Since you have cards in your Field Zone, I can also add [Vidos the Terminator] to my hand."

"Let the Ash Flame that this card is attached to scorch your minds and drag you into the abyss!"

"[Obsidian City of Ashes]'s effect: Change the face-up monsters you Special Summon to FIRE!"

Upon hearing this, a burst of flames struck the blue team, and Paladin felt dizzy.

Some kind of enchanting sound is tempting us.

"Activate the effect of [Vedos the Extinction Tyrant] to destroy [Obsidian Castle] on my field and then Special Summon it to your field!"

King Ash narrowed his eyes and spoke slowly.

Child, let go of resistance, let go of everything.

Join us in the embrace of the ashes of God.

Paladin drew a gash in his palm with his sword, forcing himself back to his senses: "Don't try to tempt me, you cultist!"

"Activate the effect of [Gia Freed] to send [Steel-Broken Stone Sword] to the graveyard, negate and destroy [Vedos the Extinct Tyrannosaurus]!"

"Hmph, futile resistance! Merge with us! Discard [Vedos the Extinction Tyrannosaurus], unleash the Swift Attack spell—" King Ash Grimm grinned menacingly.

"[Hyperfusion]!"

"Hahaha--"

"Use the [Holy Knight King] and [Kia Fried] who have been infected and turned into the Fire Clan on your field as material."

Fusion Summon!

"Descend!"

"Level 8, [Embers 2900/2400]!"

A powerful hurricane swept the two monsters on the Paladin field into the void, unleashing black lightning.

“Activate the effect of [Holy Knight King]!” Paladin frowned, defiantly stating, “When this card is sent to the Graveyard.”

"Special Summon [Flame Paladin - Augil] from the Graveyard!"

"[Ogier] effect: Send [Flame Paladin - Morgis] to the graveyard."

"[Moggis] Graveyard effect: Return [Dupin], [Destiny], and [Sword in the Stone] to the Deck, and draw 1 card from the Deck."

"Draw a card—"

[The Inheritance of the Holy Grail]

"Hmph, nothing but a death throes!" the king shouted madly, "while [Obsidian City, the City of Ashes] is on my territory."

"Special Summon - [The Priestess of Ash City]!"

Priestess of Ash City

"Activate the effect of [Priestess] to add [Endless Ashes] to your hand."

"Then Special Summon [The Champion of Ashes], activate [The Champion's] effect, and destroy [Ogier the Flame Knight] on your field!"

A massive, gray-black claw struck [Ogier], instantly reducing him to ashes.

“Ogier…” Paladin frowned slightly.

"Activate the spell card [Ashes of Ash] to send [King of Ashes] to the Graveyard, and add [Vedos the Annihilation Tyrant] from the Graveyard to my hand," the Ashes King sneered.

"Battle Phase!"

"You shall fall into the abyss right here!"

“[Embers After Ashes], [Priestess], [Hero].”

"Direct attack!"

"Annihilate!"

"Boom—"

Paladin clutched his chest, horrified to find his arm turning a dull gray, the skin gradually cracking open.

"Set two cards face down, end your turn." King Ashbringer smirked madly. "Hahaha, your life is as fragile as a candle in the wind!"

Paladin stared at his remaining four cards, panting heavily.
