Chapter 18 Looking back on the past and meditating on the future - hypnotherapy (4)
At this time, the hint guidance of the hypnotist needs to pause for a while, and it is generally more appropriate to pause for ten seconds.

Hypnotist: "It's a Monday morning, how do you usually spend it? In your daily life, how do you keep in touch with your heart?"

Hypnotist: "Now, feel in your subconscious what your attitude towards your life and the people around you is? At home? At work? With friends?" Pause for ten seconds.

Hypnotist: "What happened to change your attitude towards life seven years ago? What kind of books, movies, TV series, and computer games do you like seven years later? Carefully observe everything you see... " Pause for ten seconds.

Hypnotist: "Now, imagine your life seven years from now. According to the imaginary time and space you are in, use a word or a series of words, or a paragraph to describe the psychological state of your life..." Pause ten seconds.

Hypnotist: "How do your parents, spouse, children, friends, and colleagues describe you?"

Hypnotist: "What happened to form your new life now? What is your purpose in life now? Are you satisfied with your life in seven years? Everything you are doing is helping you the people around?"

Hypnotist: "Now, start looking at other people around you. Are there people in your life that you think are special? Have you discovered a better way to deal with the stress in your life? Can you sum it up in one word? The state of your life for the next seven years and how you feel about it..." Pause for ten seconds.

Hypnotist: "Now, start trying to communicate with you seven years later...you can ask you seven years later your views and feelings about your current life, as long as you want to ask, you can ask, and then carefully Listen to your inner voice."

At this time, the hypnotist needs to give the hypnotized person a long time to talk to himself, usually about 20 seconds.

Hypnotist: "Now, start to collect every fragment you see... You will remember these fragments of future life, even in your awake state, you can still remember them clearly. You will get a lot of inspiration and help from them .”

Hypnotist: "Now, you begin to return to your present. Wait a minute and I will start counting, from one to five. Every time I count a number, you will take a deep breath, and you will become more and more The more lucid you are. By the time I count to five, you'll be fully awake from hypnosis."

[-]. Trauma management

Mental trauma (or psychological trauma) refers to the abnormal state of psychology, emotion and even physiology caused by encountering some serious injury events in life.

Under normal circumstances, this abnormal state may be relatively mild, and the patient can recover automatically after a period of self-adjustment (usually within three months). However, there are also some traumatic effects that can last for a long time, and even have adverse effects on the patient's life.

For those with more serious trauma, it is called "post-traumatic stress disorder" in the classification of psychology and psychiatric science.

There are many life events that can cause people to be traumatized, but they fall into two main categories:
The first category is severe catastrophic traumatic events, such as the 9 incident in the United States, the tsunami in Southeast Asia, major earthquakes, wars, serious traffic accidents, being kidnapped by gangsters, being robbed or raped, witnessing the death of relatives or others, due to Threats of death from serious illness or severe physical disability, victims of violence or other crimes, etc.

The second category is traumatic events in daily life, such as lovelorn failure, marriage failure, career or school failure, conflicts in interpersonal relationships, abandonment or betrayal by relatives, etc.

It is a common misconception that people judge the severity of trauma based on the severity of the traumatic event that occurred. For example, it is often assumed that if a person experiences a horribly catastrophic event, then he must be severely traumatized.Conversely, if the traumatic event suffered by the person is relatively mild, then the person's mental damage will not be very serious.

In fact, this view is very wrong.Because when we judge the severity of a person's mental trauma, it is not based on the severity of the traumatic event itself, but on the basis of the party's psychological state, emotional and physical reactions. For example, for a very strong person, even a very severe traumatic event may not cause serious trauma. On the contrary, for a psychologically fragile person, events that are generally considered not very serious are enough to cause serious mental trauma.

Trauma is divided into three levels, namely mild, moderate and severe.

1. Mild mental trauma. The specific manifestations are depression, depression, decreased ability to live, unwillingness to communicate with others, lack of interest in life, and so on.In fact, this kind of situation is very common in our daily life. It can even be said that everyone will experience it many times in their life.

This kind of situation usually requires the comfort, support and help of relatives or friends, coupled with the role of self-regulation, after a period of time, it will naturally heal. Therefore, trauma at this level does not require professional treatment. However, it should be noted that if the above state persists for more than three months, you should consider seeking professional help.Treatment is generally through drugs or psychological counseling, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy.

2. Moderate mental trauma. The specific manifestations are long-term depression, pessimism, world-weariness, loneliness and autism, severe insomnia, anxiety, nervousness, fear and timidity, and even suicidal tendencies. It should be noted that this time is often misdiagnosed as depression, neurasthenia, anxiety or phobia.

Patients in this situation are not very effective after taking antidepressant drugs and anti-anxiety drugs. Therefore, it is necessary to take special treatment methods specifically for trauma to be effective. At this stage, treatment mainly relies on non-drug psychotherapy, and drugs can only play an auxiliary role in the process of psychotherapy.

3. Severe mental trauma. In addition to the symptoms of moderate patients, patients at this level also have more typical symptoms, such as memories or pictures of traumatic events that will continue to appear in dreams, sometimes even in a waking state. The next will still continue to reproduce in the mind.

Patients at this level are often overwhelmed with panic and distress, as if the traumatic event happened just now. This phenomenon is called "flashback" in psychology. Not only that, many normal scenes in daily life may induce traumatic memories in patients, awaken patients' memories and experiences of traumatic events, and thus produce strong emotional and physiological reactions.More severe trauma, especially in childhood, is likely to cause personality distortion and psychopathy in patients.

For severe mental trauma, it must undergo systematic and strict traumatic treatment before it can be cured or improved to a certain extent.

In recent years, with the development of hypnosis, hypnosis has achieved better therapeutic effects in the treatment of mental trauma.

Duan Li is a 39-year-old middle-aged woman who works as a director of a certain department in a company and has a considerable personal income. However, since her grandmother died, she always dreamed about her, and she always felt ashamed of her grandmother.Later, she heard that under hypnosis, she could meet her deceased relatives, so she decided to accept hypnosis.

From Duan Li's own statement, the hypnotist learned that Duan Li has a vague concept of her original family, and she doesn't know why her father treats her badly, and her mother treats her badly either. The relationship between father and mother is very cold, and they often quarrel over trivial matters, and sometimes even fight.Later, her father and mother divorced. She lived with her mother, but her mother felt that her presence affected her marriage, so she was fostered at her grandmother's house.

From Duan Li's statement, it can be clearly felt that Duan Li has been a person who lacks fatherly and motherly love since she was a child.Fortunately, Duan Li's grandmother dotes on her very much, and Duan Li feels that the person closest to her in this world is her grandmother. However, her grandmother passed away in an accident, and she never even saw her grandmother's last face.

It was winter one year, and the weather was extremely cold. Duan Li's grandmother fell ill and was bedridden. One day when her grandmother was alone at home, she accidentally ignited the bedding with an electric heater for heating.Although the fire was not too large, it was slowly burning the bedding because it had not been discovered.Duan Li's grandmother was slowly burned to death in such a fire.

After Duan Li got the news of her grandmother's death, she hurried back to her hometown. At that time, Duan Li only saw a big hole in the bed where her grandmother slept, the plastic shed on the roof was baked and deformed, and the walls, wooden beams and old furniture in the house were all blackened. .Duan Li was very sad after seeing it. She regretted why she didn't take good care of her by her grandmother when she was seriously ill. When she was a child, her grandmother was so kind to her.

Later, at her grandmother's mourning hall, Duan Li wanted to see her for the last time. However, the other relatives were afraid that Duan Li would be irritated if they saw it, so they held down Duan Li firmly and refused to let her see it.As a result, Duan Li did not see her for the last time on the day her grandmother was cremated. This regret has become a knot in Duan Li's heart that can never be solved.

Since her grandma passed away, Duan Li thought of her every day, as long as she closed her eyes, her grandma's image would sway in front of her eyes. Moreover, she dreams of her grandma almost every night, and wakes up crying every time.
