Cyberpunk: I didn't cheat.

Chapter 28 This Is The New Shit

The night in North Oaks is like a tattered rag soaked in engine oil, heavily covering the mouth and nose of the city of night. This is the edge of the industrial zone, where abandoned freight warehouses are clustered together.

"Target confirmed. The target went in with three officers, and the Tiger Claw gang received them inside. Surveillance footage shows there were seventeen people inside. Apart from Duterte's group, the rest were all Tiger Claw gang fanatics."

Qiwei's voice rang out in the shared channel.

"Seventeen?" Jack adjusted his facial disguise. "What's so special about this secret hideout set up by these Japanese lunatics that would warrant so many people guarding it?"

Vito sent a message to Stins, saying he would begin his operation in five minutes.

"Are you ready, Mano?"

"Let's get started."

Two dark figures moved like ghosts to the cargo entrance on the side of the warehouse. Vito raised his hand and lightly touched the camouflage device on his face. The previously unremarkable bioplastic instantly reformed, revealing a pale, distorted mask with bloody tears streaming from its eyes in the night.

Jack activated his disguise simultaneously. The same crying face appeared particularly grotesque in the dim light; the two of them looked like two cyber lunatics.

"Three, two, one, open the door."

Vito kicked open the iron gate with a bang, the old lock making a screeching sound that immediately alerted the people inside.

"Who?!"

The Tiger Claw Gang sentry at the gate was leaning against the wall smoking when he was startled by the sudden loud noise. He instinctively reached for his waist—where a modified monomolecular samurai sword hung.

But he was too slow.

Vito's Shigure submachine gun spat fire. The muzzle, fitted with a suppressor, didn't produce a deafening explosion, but rather a muffled "puff puff" sound, like the whisper of death.

Three bullets, arranged in a triangular pattern, precisely pierced the sentry's throat and carotid artery. The sentry collapsed, clutching his neck, his eyes wide open, not even having had time to pull his knife an inch from his body.

"Intrusion! Rats!"

A roar echoed from the depths of the warehouse, followed by a sickening metallic scraping sound. It was the sound of blades being drawn, so dense it sent chills down one's spine.

"For Tiger Claw!"

"Kill them all!"

A dozen or so thugs, clad in bulletproof vests and reinforced with muscle implants, burst from the shadows of the shipping container. These Tiger Claw gang members were a bunch of retro lunatics who scoffed at firearms, brandishing heat-powered longswords, power hammers, and spinning chainsaws.

"What a bunch of nostalgic old fogies." Jack sneered, and his Reason in his hand fired directly, the crying face mask looking even more mocking in the light of the gunfire.

"Take turns providing cover while reloading, don't let them get close!"

Vito's voice was disguised, sounding like a broken old stereo making strange noises.

"The cameras have been taken over and are marking weaknesses... Watch out, the guy on the left with the chainsaw has implanted Sianwistan!" Qiwei's voice was urgent but calm.

"Whether it's Sinweistein or whatever, take this!"

Jack suddenly emerged from behind cover, his double-barreled shotgun spitting out a dazzling burst of fire.

boom!

A tremendous roar echoed through the empty warehouse, causing the dust on the roof to fall in a flurry.

The two Tiger Claw Gang members on the far left were blasted away, knife and all. The large-caliber tungsten bullets turned their chests into mangled flesh, and blood and fragments of internal organs splattered on the shipping containers behind them, creating an abstract painting.

Jack didn't pause for a moment, firing as he moved, drawing his golden, fierce-looking guns from beneath the crying mask, the two pistols spitting fire. His marksmanship was wild and precise; each bullet seemed to have eyes, piercing the eye sockets or knees of enemies trying to flank him.

"Ah! My leg!"

"Damn mercenaries! Use guns! Don't fight them with knives!"

The Tiger Claw Gang's squad clearly hadn't expected to encounter such overwhelming firepower. Their proud Bushido spirit seemed utterly powerless in the face of overwhelming firepower.

Vito is a ruthless war machine. He uses real-time data streams transmitted by Kivi through a camera to highlight enemy weaknesses in his field of vision with red boxes.

bang bang bang-

The extended magazine of Shigure's submachine gun gave him the ability to continuously spray bullets. He didn't need to aim; he only needed to point the muzzle in the general direction of the enemy, and the bullets would precisely cut off the threat like scalpels.

A Tiger Claw gang member tried to use S.A. Steinway to speed up his charge, but he had already been targeted by Vito and G.K.V., who hacked his prosthetic body, slowing down his movements.

Vito slightly turned his body to avoid a sweeping thermal blade, then pressed the muzzle of his gun directly against the other man's chin.

"Good night."

"Bang!"

The man's head exploded like a watermelon.

"There's a gunman on the second-floor platform! He's aiming at you!" Qiwei warned.

Without even looking up, Vito raised the euro in his hand at his waist, and without even glancing at it, fired two shots directly at the shadows on the second floor.

With a muffled groan, the Tiger Claw Gang gunman who had attempted the sneak attack clutched his chest and collapsed, crashing heavily onto the concrete ground.

"Well done, Mano!" Jack laughed as he reloaded, his excitement growing stronger. "This is just like being at a shooting range!"

The battle turned into a one-sided massacre.

The warehouse was filled with gunshots, screams, and the sounds of flesh being torn apart. Although the Tiger Claw Gang's warriors were fierce, their swords were riddled with holes before they could even touch the hem of their clothes under the fierce attack of the medical dispute mediation team, which was armed with top-of-the-line modified firearms.

In just five minutes, the warehouse fell silent, leaving only corpses scattered on the ground, gunpowder smoke, and a strong stench of blood. None of the Tiger Claw gang members or the three corrupt police officers survived.

Sergeant Dutt huddled behind a shipping container in the corner of the warehouse, trembling, his crotch soaked. His three men were already dead, but because he was hiding at the back, and thanks to Vito and Jack's deliberate actions, Dutt hadn't been hit by a single bullet.

Heavy footsteps sounded.

Every step felt like stepping on Duterte's heartbeat.

Dutt looked up in horror and saw two demons wearing "crying face" masks walking towards him. They were covered in other people's blood, and the guns in their hands were still smoking.

"No...don't kill me...I'm a police officer...NCPD..." Dutter cried out, raising his hands, snot and tears streaming down his face, "I have money, I can give you money..."

Vito walked up to him and pressed the muzzle of the gun against his forehead. Dutt could even smell the gunpowder residue on the barrel—the smell of death.

"Police?" Vito's voice, altered by a voice changer, now sounded like fingernails scratching glass. "Protection and service—who should that be for?"
