Jack was loading a shotgun with a click, the metallic clang of the metal ringing out sharply in the deathly silence of the warehouse. It nearly made Dutt faint.

"Kill him. Keeping trash like him around is just a waste of air," Jack said coldly, the muzzle of his gun seemingly glancing at Dutt's head. "Night City doesn't need scum like this."

Vito's finger was on the trigger, and Dutt closed his eyes in despair, his mind blank.

"Bang!"

A gunshot rang out.

Dutt screamed, but he realized he wasn't dead. The bullet had pierced his thigh, and the excruciating pain nearly made him faint. He clutched his leg, rolled on the ground, and howled like a pig being slaughtered.

"The police have arrived at the factory; you need to evacuate," Qiwei reminded them.

"NCPD! Stop the crime! Stop the crime!"

Sirens wailed outside the warehouse. Not the urgent sirens of a terrorist riot squad, but the regular sirens of NCPD patrol cars. It sounded both ironic and absurd, as these officers usually didn't care much about shootouts in factories.

Two police cars pulled up in front of the warehouse, and Sheriff Stings rushed in with several fully armed men.

"Don't move! Hands up!" Stings shouted, pointing his gun at the two masked figures. Vito casually threw out a chaff and then he and Jack retreated from the factory.

Sheriff Stings feigned extreme surprise as he looked at the scene before him.

The ground was littered with the corpses of the Tiger Claw Gang, lying haphazardly in a gruesome sight. There was also a colleague, Dutt, whose leg had been broken and who was barely alive.

"Oh my God!" Stings holstered his gun and ran to Dutter's side, looking utterly distraught. "Dutter! Are you alright? Those damned Tiger Claw gang... how dare they attack a police officer! These lunatics!"

Dutt looked at Stins, his eyes filled with pleading, but even more so with despair. He knew he was finished.

Vito and Jack were test-driving the car, and the old captain personally oversaw the progress and got Vito the unmodified Magician he wanted.

The old captain even had the car repainted.

Jack's motorcycle was also delivered. Okada and Wakako found a target and sent the old captain's men into Westbrook. In just one day, the motorcycle was packed up and transported to Santo Domingo, where the tracking was removed and it became the old captain's merchandise.
