Organ rental company in another world

118. I spend all the money I earn on you.

Mur's face flushed red, his gaze fixed on Norn.

Are you kidding me? They actually completed three A-level missions in one night?! Even when I'm drunk, I wouldn't dare brag like that!

Mur refused to believe it and opened his eyes wide, trying to see clearly the red-eyed electric eel in Norn's hand, thinking that it must be some other kind of fish.

At this moment, Norn tilted his head towards Mur, and he quickly turned his head away, afraid that the other party would recognize him and then use the spoils of war to slap him in the face.

"Captain..." a team member sidled up to Mur, "That kid didn't actually do those three missions, did he?"

"Let's go," Mur said in a low voice as he saw Norn approach the counter.

"Huh? Aren't we going to teach that kid a lesson?" A teammate who hadn't seen the situation clearly had barely finished speaking when he was glared at fiercely by Mur.

The others immediately understood and fell silent, slinking away from the hall in disgrace.

At the counter, Norn placed the three tied-up fish carcasses on it, while Arno behind him poured out magic crystals and a bag of seeds.

"Unbelievable! You actually finished the mission? In just one night? That's truly..."

The female employee suddenly noticed something was wrong and quickly asked, "Why are there so many? How many carnivorous plants have you killed?"

Norn's slightly reddened eyes showed confusion: "The entire forest has been cleared clean, wasn't that required by the mission?"

The female employee's pupils dilated for a moment, then she quickly pulled out the task sheet from under the counter, unfolded it, pointed to it, and read aloud:

Did you miss the message, "Clear the carnivorous plants around the main road of Stone Forest to ensure the main road is unobstructed"?

Norn leaned over for a look, and sure enough, he had missed it back then.

"I was wondering why something was off. Such a large workload only gets you 16 gold coins."

Norn couldn't help but smile wryly as he recalled how he and Arno had spent the entire night in the Stonebone Forest.

If I'm not mistaken, they should be back this morning, and I can have a nice breakfast.

"Is there any harm? I won't have to pay compensation, will I?" Norn asked.

"It's not likely to result in financial loss, these plants grow very quickly, but even if you exceed the task requirements, the guild won't give you any extra reward."

Norn breathed a sigh of relief, then pointed to the seeds covering the entire table and asked, "What should we do with all these extra seeds?"

The female employee shook her head. "You can take the extra with you. The guild will only take the portion required for the mission."

Norn looked down at the greenish-brown seeds, knowing they weren't anything valuable, yet he'd wasted his time finding a buyer...

"I don't want them anymore. You can take them if you want, or just throw them away. Hurry up and settle my payment."

The female employee nodded, then turned and called out to the room at the back of the lobby, "Ryan! Come out and help me move some things!"

Not long after she finished speaking, a young man walked out of the back door, wearing the same guild uniform as the female employee, with messy hair, looking like he had just woken up.

The female employee briefly explained a few things to him, and then she and he moved the electric eel, magic crystal, and seeds to the storage room at the back.

A few minutes later, the female employee returned to the counter, carrying a bulging leather purse.

"Here you go, 56 gold coins. Count them."

In the past, this amount of money would have been just spare change for Norn when he went out, but now it is a real fortune.

Norn took the money bag, carefully poured out the gold coins, counted them one by one, and only put it back in his pocket after confirming that there were no coins.

"Come on, Arno, eat as much as you want later! Eat as much steak as you like!"

Norn perked up and said to Arno in his mind.

Arnold raised his arms high and let out an excited, inhuman growl.

The two entered the Drunken Bear Tavern again. It wasn't lunchtime yet, and there weren't many customers in the tavern, only a few slightly tipsy old drinkers.

Norn found a table by the window and sat down, while Arno obediently squatted on the ground, though he was still a head taller than Norn.

A burly pig-man waiter approached, immediately frowning at the strange smell emanating from Arno, and asked irritably, "What would you like to eat?"

Norn looked at the menu engraved on the table and replied, "Ten steaks, one pork chop, one cream bread, and fried eggs with sausage, topped with rich gravy."

The pig-man looked up at the two beggars in surprise. "This must cost a lot of money, and I don't think you can finish it all."

"I know, bring us another large glass of Dragon's Breath liquor."

Norn raised his hand in a gesture, and Arno slammed the money bag on the table, yelling at the pigman as if to tell him to hurry up and serve the food.

Seeing the money bag full of gold coins, the pigman said nothing more, quickly wrote down the dishes, and then ran back to the kitchen.

A dozen minutes later, the food was served one after another.

Ten steaks are stacked on a large plate, forming two twin towers, with rich sauce flowing down the sides of the meat and pooling on the iron plate.

Arnold ripped off his mask and eagerly grabbed a piece of steak, stuffing it into his mouth.

Norn was also starving, and without caring that it was hot, he wolfed it down.

In no time, Arnold finished his steak and was drinking the sauce from the plate.

Upon seeing this, Norn immediately called over a waiter: "Ten more steaks... Hmm? You want this too? And five more pork chops!"

The owner, waiters, and chefs stood behind the bar, watching this tall, strange man devour all the steaks.

The meal ultimately cost Norn two gold coins. Arno put his mask back on, satisfied, and left the tavern, then slipped into a clothing store.

Norn browsed around the store and picked out a standard adventurer's outfit for himself: a dark brown leather jacket, black joggers, leather boots, and a black hooded cloak.

"Let's order a set for this guy too, the price is negotiable," Norn said to the tailor in the shop, pointing at Arno.

The old tailor pushed up his reading glasses, looked at the tall figure wrapped in rags, and said, "I have a ready-made suit that should fit him. I'll show it to you."

Then the old tailor took out a set of leather clothes, which were finely made and frighteningly large in size, and should fit Arnold very well.

"Can I try it on?" Norn asked.

"No, your friend is too dirty," the old tailor immediately refused.

"Okay, how much?"

"12 gold coins!"

Norn's hand, which was reaching for his money, paused for a moment. Just as he was about to haggle, the old tailor brought the clothes closer:

"Young man, look at the workmanship and the fabric! 12 gold coins is a really good deal! The guy who had this outfit custom-made by me charged me 15 gold coins! You've gotten a great deal!"

Norn thought for a while and then paid, since it was already prepared and he didn't have to wait.

With Norn's help, Arno put on the clothes somewhat haphazardly, and finally looked like a human being.

The two, dressed in new clothes, attracted a lot of attention as they walked down the street, even though they had already turned heads before.

Norn was quite satisfied with Arno's outfit, but the only flaw was the tattered mask on his face.

Just then, they passed by a blacksmith's shop, inside which hung an iron ghost mask.

Norn went in and talked to the shopkeeper for a long time. Finally, he used his perfect eloquence and 10 gold coins to impress the shopkeeper and get him to sell the ghost mask.

The moment Arno put on the mask, his aura instantly became incredibly terrifying, and a powerful pressure swept over him.

"Heh, all the money I earn goes to you," Norn said with a wry smile.
