Chapter 82 The Destruction of the Universe, The Wandering Earth

Looking at the unconscious Dawn Ghost Lamp, Su Mo felt fear.

Now that the Dawn Lantern has appeared in this universe, the Nightmare Bat Knights will likely discover his disappearance soon. The Batman Who Laughs might even personally lead a group to investigate.

This isn't as easy as casually commenting on comics like "Why does The Bat Who Laughs always have a plan?" when you're reading them in your past life.

Now that he was truly facing the Laughing Bat, Su Mo knew he probably wouldn't have a single chance. That guy could always crawl out and announce, "This was part of my plan," just when you thought you had won.

With a heavy heart, Su Mo silently flew back to Earth with Superman, Martian Manhunter, and Green Lantern.

When the group returned to the League Hall, The Flash and the others had not yet set off.

Hal Green Lantern took the unconscious Green Lantern team members to the medical room and arranged for them to receive treatment. Martian Manhunter and Batman escorted the Dawn Lantern to the interrogation room.

The interrogation went more smoothly than expected.

"I was drawn here by the signal emitted by the Ring of Authority," the Dawnlight's voice was hoarse. "The signal, unlike any other ring, piqued my curiosity, so I came to investigate. I encountered a few green lights along the way, and picked them up while I was at it."

On the other side of the one-way glass in the interrogation room, Su Mo listened silently.

The Dawn Lantern readily answered Batman's next question: "I work for the Batman Who Laughs, responsible for finding useful allies in the Dark Multiverse. He needs an army, an army capable of invading the main universe."

He licked his chapped lips. "Once I disappear, he'll definitely send someone to check on me."

After listening, Su Mo silently took out his interdimensional communicator from his pocket. He had a plan!

After contacting Levy and getting him ready, Su Mo and the members of the Justice League sat in the League's circular conference room, preparing to start an emergency meeting.

The round table was full of people.

"Everyone, how should we deal with the attack that Dawn Lantern mentioned?" Martian Hunter spoke first.

"I believe we can defeat them together!" Superman stood up, his voice firm and powerful. As the captain of the Justice League, he had to give everyone confidence.

"Perhaps...we could take everyone to the Crime Syndicate's universe to hide?" The Flash scratched his head and suggested.

"I'm afraid that won't work." Su Mo shook his head. "Superba mentioned that the Crime Syndicate was forced to find a world to devour because they couldn't defeat the Anti-Monitor. Even if it's just a dark multiverse clone, it's not something we can easily deal with."

"Su Mo, do you have a plan?" Batman remained silent, like a still statue. His gaze had been fixed on Su Mo since the start of the meeting, as if he had already seen through something.

"Hmm." Su Mo nodded, stood up from his seat, and said, "I have a plan. We do need to escape this universe, but not to the universe of the Crime Syndicate. I'll explain where we're going when the time comes. I can only say that I have no ill intentions; I believe Martian Hunter can see that."

The Martian hunter nodded.

After that, several other people, such as Wonder Woman and Firestorm, spoke up, but none of their suggestions were helpful and were not adopted.

Ultimately, everyone agreed that Su Mo's plan was the most feasible at present.

After the meeting, the alliance members dispersed to prepare for their subsequent relocation.

Batman silently appeared behind Su Mo, his black cape casting a shadow on the ground.

"Su Mo, what do you want to do?" Batman's voice came from under his mask.

Su Mo turned around, pursed her lips, and said, "I want to save this world."

"If I hadn't come, this world would probably have been one of countless dark, multiverse worlds silently destroyed, without even a ripple."

"Then tell me your plan. I want to see how it goes." Batman crossed his arms, his white goggles locking onto Su Mo's face.

Su Mo sighed. He followed Batman to a secluded room deep within the League of Legends.

There, Su Mo told Batman his entire plan. Although Batman was shocked, he still thought about it and concluded that Su Mo's plan was indeed feasible.

Time is the fairest and most ruthless thing in the universe. It flows on second by second, regardless of whether humanity is about to face annihilation.

Around the world, everything continued as usual, and apart from the core members of the Justice League, no one knew of the impending danger.

Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern, has returned to Oa. He arrives at the Green Lantern Corps headquarters, hoping to lead the Green Lantern and Blue Lantern Corps to escape.

But not everyone was willing, and not everyone believed Hal. Hal didn't force anyone. He simply did his best over the next few days to bring along those familiar faces and their families.

Before leaving, Hal secretly set his sights on the "Lamp Furnace" central energy battery.

That enormous green lighthouse is the source of all the Green Lantern Corps' energy; without it, most of the Lanterns cannot generate enough energy on their own. Rather than be destroyed, they'd rather be taken away by it.

"Is Hal almost there?"

Su Mo stood on the observation platform of the watchtower, his gaze passing through the floor-to-ceiling windows as he looked at the starry sky. The cold color of the starlight shone on his face.

"Soon." Gai, the Green Lantern Squad leader who had been thrown out by the Dawn Lantern, stood behind Su Mo and replied, "Hal said they're already teleporting and on their way."

Su Mo nodded.

Suddenly, Dawn Lamp, imprisoned in a specially made cell, curled the corners of his mouth into a smile.

Batman, who had been watching him closely via surveillance, immediately pressed the alarm.

Su Mo turned her head in response and looked out at the transparent dome of the watchtower.

Cracks have appeared between the countless stars in the universe.

The universe is crumbling. Darkness surges in from the cracks like a tide, swallowing the starlight.

Faintly, Su Mo could hear a burst of wild laughter.

The Bat of Mad Laughter.

Su Mo took a deep breath and pressed the button on the inter-universe communicator.

"Levy, now's the time!"

In outer space, a green portal, larger than Earth itself, silently opened.

Kamar-Taj magical runes can be seen at the edge of the portal. They are the work of Strange, Wong, and other Kamar-Taj sorcerers.

Just then, a green beam of light rushed in, with Hal Jordan at the forefront, followed by hundreds of Green Lanterns, Blue Lantern Guardians, and the other party's family.

Hal's lamp ring also manifested a huge green chain, with a massive lighthouse trailing from its end. That was the central energy battery he had salvaged from Oa.

"Hurry! The portal won't last much longer. Quick!" Su Mo shouted, his voice transmitting telepathically to the minds of every superhero.

Superman, Green Lantern Hal, and Firestorm pressed their hands onto the Earth's crust, and Su Mo also flew to the other side of the Earth, joining countless superheroes.

"push--!"

The Earth moved.

The entire Earth moved slowly through space. Its speed increased, and the Earth flew towards the portal.

The rift in the universe grew wider and wider, and darkness poured in from it, engulfing Pluto and Mars. The whole world began to fall apart, as if two hands were tearing apart a giant page of a book.

The front half of Earth has been submerged in the portal.

"Faster!" Superman gritted his teeth, veins bulging on his forehead.

Su Mo pushed his speed to its limit.

The tail of the Earth finally disappeared into the portal.

The portal closed a split second before the universe shattered completely. The green light contracted from the edges towards the center, then vanished without a trace. Behind them, the shattered universe collapsed into nothingness, a void so vast that even light could not exist within it.

At the last moment before Earth entered the portal, Su Mo killed the Dawn Lantern and dragged its corpse out to prevent the Laughing Bat from having any means of tracking it.

The Laughing Bat, along with the Nightmare Knights' Red Death Demon, Destroyer, and Killing Machine, floated slowly in the void where nothing remained.

The corpse of the Dawn Lantern hovered in front of them.

The Bat of Laughter's mouth twisted into a wild grin as he laughed maniacally, "Interesting, very interesting! Hahahaha!"

The killing machine stepped forward, its electronic eyes scanning the corpse of the Dawnbreaker Lantern, and emitted a cold, mechanical voice: "Want to retrieve the corpse of the Dawnbreaker Lantern?"

The Bat of Laughter's laughter stopped abruptly. His face turned cold in an instant.

"No need. Trash doesn't deserve to be in my team." He looked at the slowly rotating corpse, his tone indifferent.

"Lord Barbatos wants a powerful being capable of attacking the main universe."

The Laughing Bat turned around, no longer glancing at the Dawn Lantern.

"Alright, it's time we went to recruit that female bat." The Batman Who Laughs narrowed his eyes. "Her world should be destroyed too."

He stepped in, waving his hand to open the rift, and darkness swallowed his figure. Red Death Demons, Destroyers, and Killing Machines followed silently behind him, heading towards Earth-11.
