Alien invasion? Luckily, I'm Superman.

Chapter 84 The Impending Threat

"The boss is Galactus." Wanda spoke a few seconds faster than usual, but her words remained clear. "Tony got confirmation from the Guardians of the Galaxy—Galactus is preparing to devour Earth."

"Pfft—" Su Mo spat out the milk tea in her mouth. Black pearls and white milk splashed into the air. Wanda raised her hand expressionlessly, and chaotic magic silently surged, enveloping the splashed liquid and then erasing it into thin air.

She continued, "While the Guardians of the Galaxy were wandering in space, they accidentally collided with the flagship of Galactus, the Ta'a II."

Cosmo, the space dog inside the spaceship, sensed the planet devourer's thoughts. "The planet devourer is coming to Earth, to devour it."

Su Mo's brows furrowed into a tight knot. "Then why would the Planet Eater do this?"

Su Mo didn't understand. Earth offered no advantage as a food source; there were plenty of planets like the Kree and Skrulls. Was it for Franklin? But Earth didn't have the Fantastic Four.

Wanda looked at the puzzled Su Mo and added, "The space dog Cosmo also heard Galactus muttering 'Celestials' in his mind."

Perhaps he came for the Celestials on Earth. We only found the remains of Celestials who were completely dead.

I asked the Divine Spear Bureau, and they replied that Celestials had once visited Earth, but they left after leaving behind a corpse.

Su Mo had a headache. Did he have to fight Galactus? Although Galactus was usually used as a unit of combat power in the comics and died every few days, he was still a solid single-universe level, on par with Eternity, and even stronger than Eternity when he was well-fed.

It's not like Dormammu, that little Karami, can pull off such a stunt. There's also their weapon, the Ultimate Eraser, capable of completely annihilating its target, including the entire universe and timeline.

It seems the only option is to guide them patiently.

"Okay, so where is Star-Lord?" Su Mo asked.

"Right in New York," Wanda replied.

Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.

One day later.

Su Mo, along with Star-Lord and Cosmo the space dog, boarded the vibranium spaceship newly developed by the Sky Eye Society and headed towards the place where Star-Lord and the others encountered Galactus.

"Star-Lord, why did you have to come along?" Su Mo leaned back in the driver's seat and glanced at Star-Lord in the passenger seat. The man was wearing a faded leather jacket, headphones, and tapping his fingers on his knees.

"Of course, it's to save the Earth!" Star-Lord said indignantly, taking off his headphones and pouting slightly. "When we were fighting Thanos, for some reason everyone was pulling me away and telling me to get lost. I'm going to prove that Star-Lord is the savior!"

Su Mo silently thought to herself: I think you're just a fool.

"Where are your teammates? Drax, Gamora, and the others? Why didn't they come with you?"

"Uh—" Star-Lord's voice suddenly lowered, his gaze somewhat evasive, "This operation was too dangerous, so... I couldn't bear to let them come. And Gamora is pregnant."

He looked up with a silly grin on his face. "When we get back this time, we'll have our wedding."

Su Mo was exasperated. Are you stacking up buffs like this? Are you afraid we'll succeed this time? You won't be satisfied until you're covered in flags.

He silently shook his head, tapped the side of the control panel a few times, and silently sent a message to the Avengers and the Justice League: "If things get out of hand, we may need to fight. Levy will not be able to teleport back to Earth for a short time. Please prepare contingency plans."

"Hey, buddy, don't worry." Star-Lord, seeing Su Mo's silence, reached out and patted him on the shoulder, grinning, "I believe with my eloquence, Galactus will be convinced!"

After saying that, he turned on the spaceship's music. Retro rock music blasted from the speakers, filling the cabin. Star-Lord stood up and started awkwardly dancing.

Looking at him, Su Mo sensed a hint of fear hidden deep in Star-Lord's eyes. He said nothing, letting Star-Lord act as he pleased. Sometimes, fear needs to be released in this way.

"Woof woof!" Cosmo, the space dog, poked his head out from the back seat, his golden fur gleaming under the lights.

Its telepathic connection projected directly into Su Mo's mind, the voice a steady, endearing boy's voice: "Don't worry too much. I've sensed the heart of the planet devourer; he's unwilling to destroy life. You can tell from how he simply sent us, who collided with him, away."

Su Mo hummed in agreement, without refuting.

He certainly knew that Galactus wasn't a villain in the true sense of the word. His actions were simply for the sake of cosmic balance.

He devours planets, but he also creates new star systems and new life afterward. However, to the destroyed planets, he is evil. Su Mo didn't want this Earth, where he had spent so much time and developed some affection, to simply disappear.

The two people and their dog traveled through the vast expanse of space. The vibranium spaceship was extremely advanced, capable of rapidly jumping between spatial nodes.

Each jump was accompanied by a flash of blue light and a brief feeling of weightlessness. The stars outside the window, like elongated filaments of light, whistled past my ears.

Another day has passed.

Su Mo pushed open the cockpit's sunshade, his gaze piercing through the void ahead, and saw the planet devourer's vehicle—Taa II.

Ta'a II, like a sleeping behemoth, lies beyond several star systems. Its diameter is about one to two light-years, almost the size of the entire solar system.

With its own gravity alone, it could capture nearby stars and planets, causing them to orbit the spacecraft like satellites. Su Mo's super vision pierced through the vast distance, allowing him to see the details of the Ta'a II.

Its shape is an infinite loop of a Möbius strip, without beginning or end, without front or back, with continuous and smooth curved surfaces.

The main body has a dark gold and deep black alloy texture, and the surface is covered with purple star patterns and energy light flow, like glowing blood vessels pulsating under the metal skin.

It is said that Ta'a II was built over thousands of years, using the remnants of Archipelago, the first planet devoured by Galactus, as its core, and mixing cosmic alloys with dark matter.

Even from several star systems away, Su Mo and the others could feel the gravitational disturbance it brought.

Su Mo couldn't help but complain, "Star-Lord, how did you manage to crash into such a huge spaceship? Even a dog couldn't have crashed into it."

"Haha—" Star-Lord chuckled, his gaze drifting to the window as if admiring the scenery, trying to avoid the topic.

"He got drunk while we were sleeping, and then he just steered the spaceship into the crash!"

Cosmo the space dog's telepathic message appeared in Su Mo's mind, filled with rage. The large golden dog glared at Star-Lord, its fur standing on end.

Seeing the big dog betray him, Star-Lord had no choice but to mutter "idiot dog" under his breath, then explained to Su Mo, "Haha, I know Gamora is pregnant, I'm so happy."

Su Mo shook his head, pushed the spaceship's lever, and headed towards the Ta'a II. "Forget it, let's see if we can persuade Uncle Tun first."

The spaceship was quickly captured by the gravitational field of the Ta'a II and was involuntarily pulled towards the giant ship. Su Mo did not fly in the direction of gravity.

An entrance opened on the surface of the Taa II, and several automated robots flew out, guiding the spacecraft through an energy shield and into the spaceport inside the ship.

Su Mo's spaceship was secured by the harbor's automated robotic arm, and the hatch opened.

The two people and the dog were led deep into the Ta'a II by an automated robot. The passage was long, and after walking for about fifteen minutes, they were brought to a spacious hall.

At the far end of the hall, Planet Eater sat on a throne formed from galaxies.

He was as tall as Eternity, clad in purple and dark blue armor, the surface of which was shimmering with nebula-like patterns.

His helmet covered most of his face, revealing only a pair of deep, black-hole-like eyes. His body looked somewhat thin, a sign of hunger; the lack of energy made his torso appear emaciated.

Uncle Swallow's gaze fell from above, sweeping over Su Mo, Star-Lord, and Cosmo.

"I've already let you go." His voice was low and slow, carrying an irresistible authority. "Why did you come back? Was your spaceship damaged in the collision? If so, you can take one back from the warehouse; it's something left over from a destroyed planet anyway."

Su Mo strode forward, looked up at the planet devourer on the throne, took a deep breath, and said in a loud and clear voice: "No, great planet devourer, we have come to find delicious planets for you."
