The soldier carefully stepped over the piles of bones on the ground that crumbled at the slightest touch, avoiding the scattered remains of mechanical guards, and moved forward slowly, barely daring to breathe.

But when he reached the very center of the passage, the entire passage became bright.

The soldier's last bit of courage crumbled instantly, and he screamed as he crouched down.

But the next second, he realized he was still alive, and his eyes, looking at Luo Ning, were filled with the joy of surviving a desperate situation.

Although he knew he probably wouldn't die, the soldier's answer was still hesitant, and his voice trembled.

The ceiling vents were brutally damaged, clearly indicating that someone was trying to hide here and use the lasers outside for defense, but the robots weren't stupid and infiltrated the room through the ventilation ducts.

A fierce battle ensued, and finally, a violent explosion brought everything to a close.

"Thermal Bomb." Victor's voice came slowly from beside him. Clearly, the chief priest of the Mechanicus had already seen through what was happening here.

But a clear displeasure appeared on his face.

"Lord Victor?" Ronin asked curiously.

But Victor simply paced back and forth quickly in the room, as if inspecting every corner.

"It's ruined, all ruined." Viktor's hoarse voice was filled with exhaustion, as if he were sighing to himself, or as if he were talking to Ronin.

"This should be some kind of management center or data center, where a complete structural map of the entire colony and a map of the energy pipeline distribution are stored."

"Unfortunately, the power of the thermal bomb was too great for such a large room, and we couldn't find any useful data."

Listening to Viktor's words and looking at the scorched earth, he instantly understood why there wasn't even a single human skeleton to be found here.

The immense power of the thermobaric bomb instantly vaporized human tissue.

He couldn't help but wonder whether it was humanity's last struggle driven to the brink of despair, or a devastating attack by the robots.

Tens of thousands of years have passed, and the answer is now lost.

They left the room, leaving only a priest to conduct a final examination of the servant's skull.

Viktor didn't want to waste a single second in this severely damaged place.

After they came out, they walked toward the passageway on the side of the square, where the entire colony's automated industrial zone was located.

Seeing the scene before him, Luo Ning was overjoyed. Although the place had been severely damaged in the battle, it was clear that it could be repaired!

Even Viktor, standing beside him, instantly perked up after entering the industrial area, his earlier gloom vanished.

Several servo skulls quickly dispersed and began scanning the surroundings, while Ronin swiftly deployed soldiers to thoroughly inspect every corner, preventing any potential enemies from entering.

Viktor, however, rushed in impatiently. His instincts as a member of the Mechanicus drove him to pursue the creations of the God of Machines with an almost fanatical fervor, and such a large-scale production line was simply the greatest gift the God of Machines could bestow upon him in his devotion.

In stark contrast to Victor, Father Moraes' expression remained tense throughout.

As a priest of the state religion, he had no interest in these mechanical things, but at the same time, he maintained the highest level of vigilance. Even though he had been exploring the ruins for so long and had not detected any dirt, he did not relax for a moment.

Ronin bowed slightly to Father Moraes and said slowly, "Thank you for your hard work."

She then chased after Viktor, who was already heading towards the huge room at the end of the industrial area.

"Lord Victor." Ronin walked into the room, but was stunned the next second.

The blue light from the data terminal slowly illuminated the empty server room, and the machine's soul, untouched for millennia, emitted a soft hum.

There were no alarms, no triggered defense systems, only the last gift left by the colonists in time, slowly unfolding before everyone.

This usually composed chief priest was now like a fanatical believer who had seen the true face of God; even his breathing trembled.

Luo Ning looked at the screen, his blood seemed to freeze suddenly, then boil wildly again.

What Viktor opened was clearly some kind of database.

It contains the most mysterious and also the most insane STC template in the Warhammer 40K universe!

In the corner of the screen, Luo Ning saw the title of these data: Edge Colony Standard Basic Operation and Maintenance Data Package.

On the screen, the unlock icons glowed with a soft green light.

Building materials production, agricultural adaptation, water purification systems, standard defense weapons, basic engineering maintenance—all the core frameworks that keep this planet alive lie there intact, waiting to be activated.

Slide your finger down to reveal the entries representing advanced modules, almost all covered by thick red encryption locks, layer upon layer, the highest-level lock commands left by the colonists.

In the database, about one-third of the data entries are grayed out, with a note indicating that the data has been irreversibly lost.

As Viktor continued his search, he finally opened a terminal log, which clearly recorded the last message left by the colonists here:

With the rebellion breaking out and the risk of AI core infiltration extremely high, the main core and STC system are permanently physically isolated, all advanced military and interstellar travel modules are locked, and only the minimum survival guarantee permissions are retained.

The blue light on the terminal flickered slightly on the last sentence, and the cooling fans in the server room emitted a soft hum, as if the machine spirit was responding to this vow that spanned ten thousand years.

Viktor stopped his prayer, and even the usually fervent Viktor fell into a brief silence at that moment.
