Fairy Tail: This Healing Mage's hits hurt so much!
Chapter 114 Galna Island Part 3
During Lucy and Gray's conversation, two people, or rather, one person and one demon, unknowingly disappeared from the ship.
As Lucy was speaking, she suddenly felt something was wrong. She looked around and found that the bow of the ship was empty.
"Hey? Where did the boatman and that man go?"
She stood up and looked around, then peered into the water, but there was nothing there.
Gray and Happy were also at a loss, looking at each other blankly.
The boat was still moving forward, but the boatman had disappeared, and the boat began to turn slightly.
Underwater, Bobo and Riyao exchanged a glance.
Riyao grinned, mouthed "What a coincidence," and gave Bobo a thumbs up.
Bobo scratched his cheek awkwardly, a layer of fine bubbles rising from his scales, then pointed to the ship above his head, meaning "those guys are still up there."
Riyao gave an OK sign, then pointed to the bottom of the boat, then to himself, and made a capsizing gesture.
Bobo paused for a moment, then nodded knowingly.
The two of them exerted their strength together, rushing upwards from the bottom of the water, creating a huge wall of waves.
The seawater seemed to be pushed up by something, crashing against the boat with a loud bang, causing the small boat to rock violently.
The people on the boat were thrown out like rag dolls, tracing graceful arcs in the air before splashing into the sea.
Sunlight waved to Bobo underwater, making a "see you later" gesture, then turned and swam towards Galna Island, moving as fast as a fish, disappearing into the deep blue sea in the blink of an eye.
Once ashore, Riyao had changed completely.
This time, he transformed himself into an ordinary villager, wearing coarse linen clothes and straw sandals, with a few wrinkles on his face, making him look like he had lived on this island for half his life.
Just like the peasant in the card game "Dou Dizhu" (a popular Chinese card game).
Taking advantage of the villagers' confused memories, he fabricated an identity for himself and swaggered into the village.
Riyao put his arm around the village chief's shoulder, grinning and trying to get closer to him, his tone as familiar as that of long-lost brothers.
"Grandpa Village Chief! I'm Klass from the east end of the village! I made Bobo's mat last time! My skills were amazing, the whole village said it was good!"
The village chief scratched his head, his cloudy eyes darting around, a bewildered expression on his face.
He thought for a long time but couldn't remember who this "Klass" was, but his memory was indeed confused, so he nodded in a daze.
"Oh, Claes... um, Claes."
Riyao then turned around and put his arm around the neck of a passing villager, acting so enthusiastically it was as if he wanted to strangle him, swaying him while bragging.
"Remember when we went to conquer the heavens last time? The scene, the momentum, it was absolutely magnificent!"
The villager was choked and lacked oxygen; his face turned purple. He patted Riyao's arm weakly, his consciousness hazy.
"Remember……"
Riyao released his hand with satisfaction, patted the villager on the back, and the villager staggered a couple of steps and walked away with a blank look on his face, probably still not understanding what he had fought.
Riyao thus happily infiltrated this demon village and thrived, managing to strike up a conversation with anyone.
Outside the village gate, Natsu and his friends pounded on the gate, making it groan in pain under the immense force.
"Hello! Is anyone home?"
Natsu yelled at the top of his lungs, his fists still pounding on the door.
Riyao climbed up the city wall, poked half his head out, and shouted to the outside.
"First, my name isn't Hey, it's Claes. Second, I didn't think of anything, never mind."
Lucy was loudly complaining from below, hands on her hips.
"Don't force this tired joke! It's so awkward!"
Other villagers also gathered around, asking questions all at once.
"Who are you? State your names."
Gray looked up and shouted, his voice booming.
"We are mages from Fairy Tail, here to break your curse!"
Riyao shouted first, cupping his hands around his mouth.
"What proof do you have?"
The three people and the cat all revealed their guild crests. Natsu rolled up his sleeves to reveal the red crest on his arm, Gray lifted his shirt to reveal the blue crest on his chest, Lucy flipped her hand to reveal the pink crest, and Happy stuck out his butt to reveal the crest on his back.
"Oh~ It really is a Fairy Tail mage."
Riyao mingled among the villagers, raised his hands and shouted, his expression exaggerated as if he had won the lottery.
"Great! We're saved!"
The village gate slowly opened, its rusty hinges creaking loudly.
Natsu and his friends came in and met with the village chief and others.
Riyao stood next to the village chief, his hands behind his back, his chin slightly raised, looking arrogant and haughty, as if to say, "I'm the client, I'm awesome."
He even nodded to Natsu and the others, as if he were receiving guests.
The village chief gestured for the villagers to remove their cloaks, revealing their demonized parts.
Some arms had turned into pitch-black claws, some legs were covered in scales, and some had bone spurs protruding from their backs—each one a horrifying sight.
Riyao also took off his sleeves and activated [Life Mimicry - Demon], demonizing his own arm as well.
Gray glanced at the demonized limbs of the surrounding villagers, feeling that something familiar was drifting by.
Mirajane's arm was in this shape before she received the magic and couldn't control it properly.
However, it has been so long that no one who glances at it quickly would remember it.
Mirajane's Receiving Magic is top-tier; the form is basically based on her own appearance. Like Elfman and Lisanna, she takes on whatever form she receives, at most becoming anthropomorphic.
Happy and Lucy had never seen this form before, so of course they couldn't recognize it.
It's too much to ask Natsu to remember something with his limited brain.
However, Natsu sniffed his surroundings, his pink nose twitched slightly, and his brows furrowed.
He scratched his head, looking confused.
"It smells familiar?!"
"I'm worried," Lucy asked, her voice lowered.
"Could it be Erza and the others who have caught up with us?"
Natsu scratched his head frantically, turning his hair into a mess.
"No, this smells familiar, but I just can't remember whose it is..."
The village chief coughed, drawing everyone's attention back. He took a deep breath, as if he had made a great decision, and spoke boldly.
"I want you to destroy the moon!"
Gray and Lucy stared wide-eyed, their jaws nearly dropping to the floor.
"How is this possible?!"
Natsu, on the other hand, brandished his burning fists, his eyes shining like two fireballs.
"Oh! Leave it to me!"
Gray seized the opportunity and punched him on the head, making him see stars.
"That's impossible! Even if it were possible, it still wouldn't work! What would happen to the mooncakes if the moon was gone!"
Just then, the Moon Drop ritual began at the ruins.
A dark purple beam of light shot into the sky, making the moon appear even more purple, as if it were soaked in venom, emitting an eerie glow.
The entire village was transformed into a demon, their skin turning grayish-black, their claws lengthening, their fangs bared, and they emitted a low growl.
"Aww..."
Riyao also transformed into a demon. He mingled among the villagers, his roar louder than anyone else's, delivering a phenomenal performance.
Gray looked at the village full of demons with a serious expression, then turned to negotiate with the village chief.
"Tomorrow we'll explore the surrounding area first; perhaps something else is affecting this island."
The village chief nodded, a glimmer of hope flashing in his cloudy eyes.
Riyao stepped forward, patted his chest, and acted like a local expert.
"I've lived on this island for decades and know the surrounding terrain like the back of my hand! I can take a few people to explore the area!"
Gray glanced at him, feeling that this "Klass" was being a little too enthusiastic, but having no better option at the moment, he nodded.
Riyao's lips curled slightly, and he secretly gloated: the plan worked.
Erza and Mirajane are on their way.
One was thinking about how to deal with those idiots, while the other was wondering what fun Riyao had to offer.
