From American comics to becoming the mastermind behind the scenes

Chapter 41 X-Weapon Project, Li Ang's Small Experiment

"So, are you planning to sell your body or your soul?"

Stark frowned. "Can I choose neither?"

Constantine shook his head, a playful smile on his face: "Okay, then how about your second brother?"

"Fuck you, I'd rather be an idiot!"

"Then I can't help you. I'm just an exorcist, and this isn't within my scope of practice." Constantine shook his head, looking helpless. "I'll try to find someone for you."

Tony Stark narrowed his eyes, his gaze scrutinizing: "Are you a middleman or an exorcist?"

Constantine, cigarette dangling from his lips, shrugged: "Our main job is being a Yorozuya!"

While Constantine and Tony Stark were discussing his condition, Obadiah also represented Stark Industries at a military procurement meeting. However, unlike previous meetings, this time Obadiah was not the main character, but rather a visiting guest, because Tony Stark announced the closure of Stark Industries' arms division.

"It's just a young man who encountered some danger and got scared. I'll convince him." Obadiah said with a fake smile as he chatted casually with the military's top brass.

Admiral Ross spoke up: "I hope, as you say, Stark doesn't do anything stupid."

James Roddy did not attend the military trade fair, but instead attended what was called...

"Next up is the Umbrella Corporation's presentation," the host announced, the military's temporary host merely serving as an announcer.

"Umbrella?" Obadiah frowned. "I've never heard of it before. When did it get the military contract?"

Ross began by saying, "I hadn't heard of it before. I heard that it acquired Osborn Industries and obtained military contracts from them."

"I see." Obadiah nodded, glancing at Norman Osborn, who had already walked onto the stage, his expression subtly changing.

While Osborn Industries couldn't compare to the peak of Stark Industries, it was still a behemoth. How could it have been acquired by Umbrella Corporation, which appeared out of nowhere? Just who is this Umbrella Corporation?

"Next, I will demonstrate to you the single-soldier super soldier developed by the Umbrella Corporation, which we call the Tyrant T-103!"

Norman Osborn smiled confidently and pressed the switch in his hand. White mist immediately spewed out from the gap in the metal airtight door. As the sound of the air jet gradually subsided, the airtight door slowly opened, revealing a huge humanoid figure, 2.3 meters tall and completely wrapped in a heavy bulletproof restraint suit, lying quietly inside the hatch.

Upon hearing the term "super soldier," General Ross, who had always dreamed of capturing the Hulk and extracting serum from him to develop super soldiers, immediately became interested and sat up straight.

Norman Osborn then takes control of the Tyrant, showcasing its capabilities: super strength, super regeneration, and astonishing mobility.

Admiral Ross's eyes lit up at the sight—even though his fighting ability was far inferior to that of the Hulk, or the Abomination who used Hulk's blood to mutate.

But it can be mass-produced and is easy to control, which seems like a better option. In General Ross's view, independent thinking could actually lead to problems.

"While the wisdom of ordinary soldiers may be better suited to handling unexpected events in action, a tyrant will only loyally eliminate the enemies of the Aelikons, ensuring their eternal greatness!"

General Ross immediately stood up and applauded. Norman Osborne stepped down from the stage amidst the applause, and then, guided by General Ross's secretary, came to stand before General Ross.

"I didn't expect that after Stark Industries closed its arms division, another company would immediately surprise me," Admiral Ross said with a smile. He asked, "What is the cost of the Tyrant T-103? Are there any other models?"

Obadiah, standing to the side, looked grim. He hadn't finished analyzing the Mark I he'd found in the desert, and the most crucial power supply problem remained unresolved. He could only watch as Norman Osborn snatched the military order from his hands.

Norman Osborn, recalling Wesker's instructions, said, "The Tyrant T-103, we've set the price at $500 million. Of course, there are other models as well; we're still developing them, and two are currently in the experimental stage."

As he spoke, Norman Osborn showed Admiral Ross a PowerPoint presentation of the T-87 and Tracker models.

"So, the T-87 Tyrant is stronger and faster, while the Tracker is more intelligent and can use weapons?" Admiral Ross nodded in satisfaction.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Norman pretended to sigh and said, "Unfortunately, we don't have enough gene bank samples, and the gene blueprints we are using are the most common gene samples."

Norman didn't finish his sentence, but it was enough for an old fox like Admiral Ross.

Upon hearing this, General Ross frowned slightly: "You want the gene bank for Weapon X?"

Norman simply smiled, neither nodding nor shaking his head.

General Ross nodded in understanding: "I do have a few samples, but I'm not the main person in charge of Project X. I can provide you with one or two samples, and if you can produce results, I can consider lobbying the White House on your behalf."

Norman Osborn nodded excitedly. Although there were only one or two common samples, he had already accomplished Wesker's task and could now treat the retrovirus on Harry Osborn's body.

"If you have time, I would like to invite you to visit the Umbrella Corporation's headquarters in Raccoon City," Norman Osborn said, handing over a business card. "We have many more products that we can't announce right now, and we can demonstrate them for you there."

General Ross nodded: "Very good, I will go."

Besides Umbrella Corporation, several other companies showcased decent products, but compared to the tyranny of Umbrella Corporation, they paled in comparison. As for human experimentation and ethical considerations, the American military simply didn't care.

I wonder whose X gene sample General Ross has?

Li Ang rubbed his temples; everything was proceeding according to plan. His restaurant, opened using a character card from the popular TV series "Little Chef," had already made a name for itself in New York.

With the addition of marketing sprees, Li Ang Restaurant has become a landmark restaurant in New York. In just a few days since its opening, it has already attracted numerous internet celebrities and chefs from high-end restaurants to visit.

Helldog Egg even considered paying a high price for the recipe. This led many people to learn of Li Ang's name.

Using Freddy's abilities, Li Ang can sense people's emotions and see their dreams, but there aren't many characters that interest him.

"So, who should I choose?"

Li Ang's fingers lightly traced across the notebook; he didn't intend to pull everyone into the dream.

For example, Peter Parker, Mary Jane, Gwen Stacy, Lightning Thomson, and Harry Osborn—only one of these people needs to be chosen. Li Ang must maintain the exclusivity of the chosen one.

"Then I'll choose you." Li Ang's finger stopped on Gwen Stacy's name.
