Knock knock knock!

"Hello! Is someone here to greet you?"

Vito knocked on the clinic door and saw two men who looked like scavengers watching Mewtwo.

"Hey kid, didn't you see the sign outside saying we're closed?"

Vito scratched his head, feigning innocence.

"Oh, I see. I'm sorry, but it's very urgent. Is Mr. Dorf here?"

The two people watching Mewtwo asked after hearing this.

"What do you want with Doff?"

Vito said apologetically.

"Oh dear, Dr. Kenpo asked me to bring something to Mr. Doff, but I don't quite remember the address, and I don't even know if this is the right place. Ah, this is really a headache!"

A street cleaner stepped forward.

"Damn, people still forget their addresses these days? What the hell are you doing with your brain-computer interface? Just give us whatever you need!"

Vito said unhappily.

"Don't put it so harshly. Dr. Kenpo said this thing must be delivered to Mr. Doff personally. Who are you? I've never seen you before!"

The cleaner got even angrier and cursed.

"Damn it, didn't you hear me tell you to give it to me? I'm one of Dof's men, the boss's got a lot on his plate, you better give it to me right now!"

Vito seemed a little hesitant as he spoke.

"Just the two of you? No one else? I mean, no one I know? What if you're not Mr. Dover's people?"

"The cleaner roared."

"Are you fucking deaf? The boss's busy with surgery, it's just the two of us. Who the hell do you know? I'll have him fish you out of the water and can you up!"

Vito reached into his shirt and said as he rummaged for something.

"Then I'm relieved. And what the hell are you yelling about? Are you trying to summon your mother's soul?"

"Holy crap, what did you say?"

boom!

Vito shot the scavenger in front of him in the prosthetic eye, knocking him down. Instead of firing a follow-up shot, Vito fired three more shots into the face of another scavenger. Once he was sure the other scavenger was incapable of resisting, Vito took the gun and walked over to the fallen man.

"Are you trying to summon your mother's soul?"

boom!

The unified bullet splattered the Scavenger's brains onto the ground. Vito carefully put the unified away, picked up an extended-magnitude guillotine submachine gun, and headed towards the operating room.

He kicked open the operating room door and asked, "Who is Doff?"

There were two people in the operating room. One of them, dressed as a cyborg doctor, glanced at Dov next to him and then saw Vito sweep a magazine full of bullets at Dov.

"It seems he is Dorf. I hope I'm not mistaken. Who are you?"

The cyborg doctor was terrified. He said in a trembling voice, "I am Doug, this is my clinic."

Vito changed the magazine on his submachine gun, then asked, "Okay, dentist, what are you and Dof doing?"

Dr. Doug swallowed hard and replied, "I have a patient here who was in a car accident. Doff needs to retrieve his prosthetic body, so, so..."

Vito glanced at the operating table, where a red-haired woman lay naked. Although she had wounds, she hadn't been cut open, so it seemed the two hadn't started their operation yet.

"She's dead?" Vito asked, pointing his gun at Dr. Doug.

Dr. Doug raised his hands slightly, signaling to Vito to be careful not to accidentally fire.

"Not yet, but soon, I, I..."

Vito smiled. "Don't be nervous, Doctor. Please take Mr. Doff's money chip out of me. Be slow, or my guillotine might misfire."

Dr. Doug deftly pulled out Dov's money chip and handed it to Vito, hoping that Vito was just a mercenary seeking revenge on Dov and would leave immediately after taking the money.

Vito continued, "Alright, Dr. Dog, transfer your share to me too. Oh, and remember to save five euros for yourself for fried noodles."

Faced with Vito's blackmail, Dr. Doug had no choice but to reluctantly transfer his money to Vito, hoping that this plague would leave immediately.

Vito put away his submachine gun, and Dr. Doug breathed a sigh of relief. Vito casually asked a question.

"Is there any hope for this woman?"

Dr. Doug's tense nerves relaxed, and he answered casually.

"It's possible to save her, but it's not necessary. Her son chose the cheap package, and the company needs to recycle the prosthetic body."

"oh."

Vito pulled out a single shot and took down the doctor.

"Sorry, Dog Doctor, I've recently developed a bad impression of doctors who lack professional ethics. You can go down and ask Dr. Kenpo for details."

Looking at the woman on the operating table, Vito sighed. The woman looked very young, and her son was probably not very old either. The company was taking back the prosthetic body, and he was probably going to be another pitiful person like Fredo.

He casually found some cloths to wrap around the red-haired woman, then picked her up, muttering to himself.

"You're lucky. This doctor is quite wealthy. If you were even luckier and could make it to Old Viagra, your son would still have his mother."

The woman let out a few weak murmurs; she was not completely unconscious, as the cleaners never liked to waste anesthetics.

Vito took the woman to old Vito's clinic.

"Quickly, Lao Wei, come and perform the surgery. Remember to administer anesthesia."

When Old Vito saw Vito carrying something over again, he assumed Vito had picked up some kind of prosthetic body and wanted to put it on him, so he refused.

"Vito, this isn't an illegal clinic. You can't make me do the work of a cleaner."

Seeing that his father had misunderstood him, Vito explained, "I didn't ask you to gouge out someone's eyes, Vito. This is a car accident victim who almost had her prosthetic body removed by the Cleaners. Please save her."

Upon hearing this, Old Vito immediately instructed Vito to place the person on a chair in preparation for surgery.

Vito then went out to Misty's psychic house to sit for a while.

"Hi! Hello, what's your name?"

"Just call me Vito."

"Hello, Vito, my name is Misty."

"I know, after all, this place is called Misty's Psychic House."

Misty handed Vito a cigarette, which he accepted. Misty said, "I heard from Fredo that you're a really kind person; that's rare in Night City."

Vito lit a cigarette on the candle and replied, "People always need something to live well, and I always need to find a way to avoid becoming a monster."

The two talked for about two hours until Vito received a call from Old Vito that evening.

"Hi, Vito, you can come to the clinic now. Mrs. Martinez has woken up."

Vito greeted Misty and went to the clinic. As soon as he entered, he exclaimed, "What a miracle worker, Dr. Vito! The person woke up in just two hours!"

Old Vito chuckled, "I'm not that miraculous. The previous clinic tried to save her, but those bastards changed their minds, which is why she's so weak. Oh, by the way, Vito, did you take the nerve suppressant I gave you?"

Vito quickly took out his cigarette, took a couple of puffs, and said, "I forgot about it after the cutscene, sorry."

Old Vito didn't have time to pay attention to Vito's strange words, he said.

"The patient wants to talk to you."
